I guess no one saw how he ran over the Eagles' safety Mikel on Donovan's homecoming. He was only 3.8 or something per carry but he show great footwork and burst to the hole.
Didn't have a great game but glad to see him back on the field, hopefully he'll just keep getting more and more carries for the Broncos and eventually take over from whoever ends up the permanent RB starters postition.
He has a style more similar to Terrell Davis. I'm not saying he is half as good as TD, just similar in style. Portis was more of a speed RB in Denver.
torain will be solid. he was touted as a 2nd round pick till he had a foot injury his senior year, and the broncos got him for a steal in the 5th round. with all the broncos rb's not producing look for this guy to get a legitimate change to do some damage, and possible take the starting spot.
he is a good player, he does not have good speed, but he has good footwork and hands, and with Denver he will thrive in the zone scheme. He will be the workhorse if he gets the starting job, Selvin Young will be the scat back, Anthony Alridge will be the speed, who can come in and break long runs, Micheal Pittman will be the powerback, and Andre Hall also will be a combination of speed and agility
yeah, but i think of scat back being more agile and quick. When i think of a change of pace back, i think of a guy that is quick enough to change pace but he only makes a certain amount of necessary cuts to get the ball pounded in the middle
Looks like a great pick for Denver and their zone scheme. I really liked the way he caught the ball in that workout. He double-clutched one of them, but looked like a natural hands catcher there. Good footwork, burst, speed. Would have gone much higher if not for injury.
played with him in highschool... he was my running back. Amazing soft spoken guy that's gonna help out the broncos. First game of our senior year he scored five touchdowns in the first half of the game.
Torain is an outstanding player - only reason he isn't better known is because he was injured for more than half of his senior year with a serious foot injury that required surgery. Played in only 5 games as a senior. Still had 7 TDs though.
legs move so fast like watchin "the road runner" meep meep

Mark my words, this kid is going to be special.
Especially in Shanny's offense.

ok just wait that's all i have to say

don't get me wrong, i think torain is a great football player who might be as good statistically to portis, but I really don't see many similarities.

he looks freakin slow without the pads on.

Hie legs look kinda skinny for a RB. I hope the Broncos made the right choice. I gotta check out his game film.

5th round picks dont usually "flop"
raider7687 3 years ago
especially for the Denver Broncos, they never fail with a RB

Torain smokes that dust. He will flop and everybody will laugh at him for being a dust-smoking pole rider.

aren't scat backs and change of pace backs the same thing?

selvins a 15 carry back, not a workhorse. torain is, he's got a good opportunity in denver.
