he uses different hi-hats because one is a china and splash stacked. its his signature trashhat. it creates a sweet washy sound. wicked cymbal by meinl. it can be used in so many differen styles.

why would a jazz drummer use 2 to 3 rides ...because they have different sounds..you can apply different patterns with 2 rides....same with two set of high hats....pretty easy to understand.

yeah i got to aggree with you there i dont get why he uses 2 hi hats its not exactly at such a tempo that he couldnt move his hand accross to the normal hats in time i see why some drummers use them like metal drumers and some fast funk players but from what i have seen benny greb is more about the groove than speed so i dont get it
