I just discovered Charlotte (shame on me) and I was reading about her. The articles all said that Dancing on Needles was a difficult album to record because she was suffering from a debilitating illness for the past year, in so much pain she couldn't even get out of bed. It's said the album chronicles her struggle with intercostal neuralgia. That being the case, I think the video is a vivid illustration of it. I love her other videos, but I respect this as well. She's an incredible performer!

this is really disappointing. charlotte is a very talented artist and musician and you'd never know that from this godawful, cheap, trite, and uninspired video. I knew we were in for it when the simple "charlotte martin volcano" text appeared in the beginning and whoever directed this couldn't help but add 2 cent effects to EACH WORD. this video does her and the song absolutely no justice.

@manco82 but she is worthy of million dollar videos is my point. this couldn't have cost more than a dollar. more than that, though, it's so uninspired and tacky. Unworthy, cheap, and embarrassing. As for her pregnancy somehow being at fault here: what? Charlotte toured while VERY pregnant (more so than in this video) so I'm sure she's also capable of making a decent music video while pregnant.
