@simplewesomeness Only OS/2 ones - 16-bit Windows executables will also run in the Windows environment that OS/2 has but only a few 32-bit Windows ones can be run, using "Odin".
@Runescape2123 OS/2 is supported by MS Virtual PC so I don't remember it being too difficult in terms of needing drivers etc - Warpzilla is the browser shown, it's the OS/2 version of Firefox.
@serialkissersband That should be the full version, it means it has the Convenience Pack built in - there is another torrent with the client version of OS/2 4.52 (CP2) as well. I'm afraid it's the best (only?) source of this software that I am aware of, it is not easy to find - try letting it download to see if it's alive.
OS/2 is not particularly demanding, Warp Server 4.52 Convenience Pak 2 (the last IBM OS/2-branded version, before it continued as eComStation) is occupying less than 300 MB on my virtual hard drive, and while I have 256 MB allocated to the virtual machine it will run with much less eg 32 or 64 MB and it will still work.
The client and server versions of OS/2 Warp 4.52 (Convenience Pak 2) are both available on the Pirate Bay, search for "os2 warp 4.52" and you will get them.
It's Firefox 3, latest version - I know, I was amazed too that they still make it for OS/2! :-) (Google "Warpzilla" to get it) Then again, OS/2 is still updated in the form of eComStation so it's not actually a "dead" OS yet! Yeh, it's a shame it never caught on really, it's pretty cool, it could even run Windows applications through the Win-OS/2 that you see here, where Windows 3.1 can be opened up inside OS/2 almost instantly. It was also 32-bit and pretty stable long before Windows 95!
I'm surprised right now to hear that Mozilla still supports OS/2 in FireFox!
Is eComStation anything like OS/2 it originates from?
OS/2 was made right up into the Windows XP era, wasn't it? The last version was OS/2 4.51 in 2001, I think?
I was wondering at 2:52 why the programs you were opening looked like Windows 3.1...lol! So OS/2 basically has a Windows 3.1 virtual machine built-in? Cool!
So, does OS/2 have any support for hardware in PCs beside IBM's PS/2 series?
Yep, Win-OS/2 is basically a copy of Windows 3.1 that runs inside OS/2, a bit like Classic in OS X except that it starts up instantly. OS/2 was sold in two editions, one that included Win-OS/2 and a cheaper one that used an existing installation of Windows on your PC for it.
eComStation is similar, yes, but a bit more modern and without IBM or OS/2 branding, there are screenshots on their website I think. Sadly it is very difficult to run it in any virtual machine, whereas OS/2 works in VPC.
Warp 4 is the last version of OS/2 and was around for a fair few years, the last major update being Convenience Pak 2 (Warp 4.52). eComStation then continues this, with eCS version 2.0 soon to be released.
It should run on most PCs, not just IBM machines, though of course drivers might not be available for all of your hardware - I picked up a boxed copy of OS/2 Warp 3 from Freecycle recently and it just says 386 PC or higher with 4 MB Ram (Warp 4 is a little more demanding, but nothing like XP)

Not too many games were released onto OS/2.
OS/2 woulda been a stronger competitor to Windows, DOS and Macintosh if games got ported to it.

You can get the CD images from The Pirate Bay, details are in one of the comments below.

Where did you get this copy of OS/2? Also, how big do you need your virtual HD to be in VPC? And the RAM requirements would be nice too. Thanks

Cool! It's too bad you don't see OS/2 on nearly any computers anymore. The thing is, OS/2 wasn't nearly as versatile as Windows was.
I'm not familiar at all with OS/2, but i'm familiar with Virtual PC, and I know a website where I could grab OS/2.
What version of FireFox is that?
