Your videos sparked my interest in learning the Chinese language and culture. Never realized how easy it is to learn, and we never had an option to learn it in school. Thank you!
It doesn't really matter which way Lucky's hand is moving. All she needs to show is flat, falling or rising. Up and down movement is the key not left or right.
Lucky I really enjoy many Chinese foods. Chou Doufu and the Chinese kimchi that comes with it is one of my favorites.
wow, I like how you reinforce the words with vivid pictures. But most importantly, your pronunciation of words are clear and understandable. Oh, and thanks for showing the Chinese characters. What I find most appealing is your joyful and energetic personality; it makes me want learn more form you. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
your hands are going the wrong way for the tones. You have to take into account that although you are going from left to right, the viewer sees it as right to left.
We keep debating this issue actually when the videos are produced... not sure if this is a problem looking for a solution or a solution looking for a problem. We'll see!
@i3ds: do you have some kind of production team? Since I view it as a problem based on my interpretation of the video itself, I would agree with the former, not the latter. However, I think that if you want real feedback, you would have to ask the viewers what they think. Specifically, "Do they find the hand gestures confusing or not?"
Again, this is something we have been debating on/off since inception... we will keep doing hand gestures as Lucky thinks it's important, we are just evenly split on the issue... in the meantime, there are far bigger fires to tend to in the production line.
@i3ds: I think you are missing my point. If you get together in a group and debate the issue, you are not (seemingly) taking into account the experience of the VIEWER which logically should be the priority. Have a nice day.

Your lessons are so good. I was married to a chinese girl for 11 years and I didn't learn as much from her as I have from your videos.

consider that with your hand movements in indicating the tone, we see it opposite. So when you video tape, make sure you correct that.
