The twist that he's the one who's dead or in a coma might make sense if this show was focused on the sci-fi aspect of it. I actually think it's a more of a focused character study about a man dealing with death in an extraordinary way. Final Prediction: he finds out someone caused the car wreck on purpose, seeks revenge/redemption, finds out his wife is the one that's actually dead, and comes to terms with it peacefully as he falls asleep for the final episode with a resolute smile on his face.

I just watched this on Hulu, and it is very good. This is a show that I can really get into, and that says a lot, considering I haven't gotten into any shows in quite some time. A few things I had to back up and play again (the perks of Hulu) to really understand them, but otherwise it was very emotional and compelling. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

i mean its great that this is a show, but the idea is definitely not original. The Circle novel series by Ted Dekker already encapsulated the idea of being in two different universes every time the main character fell asleep, and woke up in the other dimension. still think its good though.

The story is leading up to him being in some sort of coma while he dreams about this. Also, the car accident he had led up to these fantasies. So yeah, this is why i don't watch regular TV shows and stick to cable shows now.

seriously think this would make a great mini-series instead of a tv series. With tv series you don't know when it'll end, and the plot of the story has to come full circle in order for the whole thing to work. With the concept for awake, one I absolutely love, it feels better if it was a mini-series with carefully timed progression and a set ending. I feel that'll make a greater impact, and if it was me, the big reveal at the end is that he's in a coma, and his wife and son are alive next to him

I can't help but smile each time I'd hear about "Awake". I'm so happy to hear Jason Issac (from Harry Potter movies) is playing the lead in this show. Yet, the main reason for me smiling is that it reminds me of the BBC version of "Life on Mars" as far as the allure, the mysterious sense of being. I can still hear the intro from LOM, "...I'm Sam Tyler, I had an accident and I woke up in 1973. Am I made, in a coma or back in time..." I sure hope Awake become a Smash hit. Good Luck
