M*A*S*H is my all time fav TV show! I think all of the episodes with Hawkeye/Trapper/Blake/Burns/Ra­dar were the best ones! All of the characters were great to don't get me wrong they just hapen to be my faves! :-)

Awe, I love Alan Alda, without him the show wouldn't have been the same, he made sure to keep the show good, and had morals and things he ensured were in every episode, like a scene in surgery, and he wanted it to be funny but have the theme of war still in it and the bad part as well as the good of humans. I love this show!

I would have blindly disagreed with you, but I recently saw the movie for the 1st time. I loved it! I don't think Alan Alda ruined it, but I think Donald Sutherland could have easily beaten him for the part (in my eyes). As much as I hate to admit (because Wayne Rogers is one of my all time fav. actors) Elliot Gould was outstanding as Trapper John in the movie. You have to admit; however, McLean Stevenson was a MUCH BETTER Henry Blake, and Robert Duvall was a disgraceful Frank Burns.

You cant forget that the movie had much less restrictions than the tv show so they could say some things that might be funnier.. i dont know if that will change your mind but im just saying... and i agree mclean is a much better henry

yeah i kinda did. he had his moments.

-when hawks dad goes in for surgery, they wait for a phone call and he shows that he cares.

-when he be-friends the boy who stutters, then later we find out his sister does the same

and in the Final episode i think when he is teaching the Koreans to play opera, and almost looses it when they get killed. Winchester was funny sometimes but he didn't do it out of stupidity like Frank..

In the beginning, I was a strict BJ fan, but once I began watching the early episodes with Trap, I became more fond of him than of BJ. And I totally agree with stealthy2, the show went all to hell once Trapper left.

LOL! It's funny because I'm in the exact opposite camp. I don't even watch seasons 1-3 *because* BJ (and later, Charles) aren't in them. Then again, BJ Hunnicutt is my favorite character in the history of TV so, I guess you could say I'm *very* biased ;)

lol I think the episodes with Charles and BJ are good too, just not as many of them. Of course there are stupid ones with Trapper in them too. But me, the character I love most is Frank. I guess it's becasue I've always been one to root for the underdog. Plus Frank has those GORGEOUS blue eyes (I'm a sucker for blue eyes)
