  • something in me wishes David would do that to me.

  • See how much happier it is now?

  • Got to love the pronunciation "payela, no it's payeya!" LOL

  • I can't believe I've never seen this before! I couldn't stop laughing!

  • Liquid Spanish fags. Just, liquid Spanish fags.

  • @yerk3 Gay Castillian Aquaman is extremely offended though.

  • what a wonderful actor !

  • "... free-ranged, organic, home-schooled chicken..."

    :D

  • @ihatecaptchas lol! That stove does look suspicious, I didn't notice that before!

  • Making David Tennant look sleezy. Now THAT'S well done!

  • i love the opening and closing song.

  • David Tennant. <3

  • es de risa esto, ¿no?

  • es de risa esto, no?

  • @vmacana Claro! jajaja. es muy bueno

  • I caught this on BBC and I didn't know that it was silly... then I started listing. Goodness!! This is hilarious!! I knew Tennant from Doctor Who... it was exciting to see him here. Oh I love him. A lot. A lot a lot. (He'll always be The Doctor to me, though;)

  • I love when she goes to test it and starts stuffing her face. Hilarious.

  • is that david tennant????

  • @tylernicholas sure is David Tennant.

  • Hi. Enjoyed the video. Really great!

  • 18 people don't like paella...or David Tennant...or both...or even just the show in general...

  • wow, is that a long ponytail on David...mmm

  • Thank you, Simon, for pronoucing paella right!

OOH, risotto, risotto, risotto! - Abosolutly perfect for the David Tennant episode!

    "Thrilling times may vary" haha!

How can these people keep from laughing?!?

Happy homeschooled chickens! I need to get those!

David Tennant is so much yummier than the paella...

  • HE IS THE UK'S CHRISTOPHER WALKIN !!!

  • 'as firm and moist as Tom Cruise after a hot bath.' I laughed tea up my nose.

  • like liquid spanish fags... got to be good:)

  • Fcuk!, these guys got no idea!

  • I saw this one before and before I was a Doctor Whovian but I just saw this 2 minutes ago after Masterpiece Theatre and I was like OMGGG is that David Tennant? That's him omg heheh He looked so cool ^_^ I love him <3

  • david tennant with a ponytail?! :o

  • Raymond Blanc IS meat!

  • "Actually", is PAELLA PA-EH-YA not payeya

  • as brilliant as this episode is the one after it (comfort food) makes it a million times better :)

  • Funny, funny, funny !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Que asco de cosa, esto no es paella. ¿Esto es la BBC? Puaff.

  • @lolotapones

This is british comedy. It is a parody show making fun of chefs in the uk. They are acting.

  • @Jaidali lo se.

  • @lolotapones

Hola, por supuesto, ¡es muy asco! Se trata de una comedia Inglés, ¡no un programa de cocina! jaja. No toda el mundo en Inglaterra es tan malo en cocinar comida española ;)

  • I expect an American version (with the same script) based on this.

Sanford and Son,All in The Family. The Weakest Link, The Cosby Show and many many more were all taken from British Shows.

  • @000266617 loz i know!! I'm American, so I'd expect a new version, too.. Thank GOD they didnt go through with an Are U Being Served American version-- The british one is better xD

  • Anyone else maddeningly jealous of Simon at 7:53-8:08?

  • Anyone else maddeningly jealous of Simon at 7:53-8:08?

  • Intimate tennis lesson...0.0;;

  • Oh, you don't have to say Olé, only Andalusian people says, not us (from Valencia or another place, just Andalucía) I don't wanted to be rude or gross. Thanks!

And if some spanish one see this, Hola!!!!

  • I can do it too, I'm from Valencia and my mother taught to me how to cook it. And actually, the double L pronunciates as Y of YOU, so it's like PAEYA. And it's not a valencian paella, these are the real ingredients: chicken, rabbit, valencian rice, valencian water (because lime gives an special flavour), beans, white beans, salt, tomato sauce, paprika, and if you want, peas and snails. If you want to know how it really makes, tell me, I can help.

  • I'm not eating at her house.

  • Pretentious 'Sime' ?? He's a sweetie hahahaha

  • rice is an English word hahaha

  • I love all their euphemisms for actions to perform on the food- hilarious!

  • we watch it on tele. Imaginge 51 yo and 16 yo daughter both getting the same jokes and loving the show.

Me daughter fell off the couch laughing at the "wind blown water" ingredient in another episode.

I am not sure if they are taking a stab at the organic movement at times or just the pretentious cooking shows. Its probably both.

  • This is toooooo funny !!!! Love it .

  • The music is the acclaimed counter tenor Alfred Deller.

  • whats the music? anyone know?

  • "Cooking really upsets food."

I love this show. I love Richard E Grant. I love David Tennant. I love David Tennant.

Whoops, did I say that twice? ;)

  • OH MY GOD, DAVID TENNANT, HAHAHHAHA. I'm slightly scarred and morbidly amused simultaneously xD

  • David LOL!

  • LMFAO! what the fuck is david tennant doing there?! hahahaha!

  • I knew I'd heard his voice before - and after looking him up, I found out he voiced Lord Barkis Bittern in Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Ha!

  • well... I'm from Spain, and the paella's recipe isn't like that... But the episode is really funny!

  • OMG! Loved this, especially if u know the background of the actors. All 3 actors have voiced 'The Doctor' on "Doctor Who" audios. David Tennant even lived with Arabella Weir for 5 years when he first moved to London (not romantically). They met on the set of "Takin' Over the Asylum". He's even godfather to her son. He shows up again in episode 8 "Comfort Food" as Jose-Luis & Piers.

  • he is the godfather to her son and daughter i met arabella and her kids on holiday!!!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT its the vampire dad from that "little vampire" movie!!! i love his voice haha

  • I always "interrogate" my mussels with a Dewalt ® 18v Variable Speed cordless Hammerdrill, using a genuine Bosch® brass-alloy denuding brush wheel. Wonderful!!

  • The terrifying thing about this programme was that the recipes actually worked if you swapped the BS for "proper" words.

plus methinks Simon needs help with his repressed sexuality - aah the English public school system, doncha love it!

  • i remember watching this when it was on t.v. - so damn funny :)

  • I love the poeple who comment about the faults with pronunciation or cooking methods etc. You have been played like a well tuned fiddle and are clearly too dim to understand subtle humour.

  • Haw! So true!

  • ...That's part of the joke.

  • Wonderful stuff. Thanks for posting. I never heard of Minty and Redferne before. My loss. Hope there's lots more on youtube.. I'm off to check...

  • It is a skit. It's just the lack of a laugh track that throws off people (esp north americans) and they don't know where the funny bits are anymore.

  • You obviously dont get it, go watch Jackass instead.

  • LMAO

  • 'Cooking really upsets food'. I wonder what it was like for her to live with DT for 5 years......

  • HUH??!! its fake dude.

  • I was only going to watch this for David Tennant, but it's so good I'll have to watch them all!

  • @montypython203 Exactly what I was doing as well! And now I'm starting to like this series. A lot. Shockingly a lot.

  • DT looks really creepy in this video hahaha

  • If you haven't already seen him in Rab C.Nesbitt,I'd suggest seeing him in that.He plays a woman!

  • Awesome. I quote this all the time.

  • The only thing I'm not certain of is what they mean by her stuffing her face at the end there. As the whole programme is so carefully put together, it can't just be for fun, is the implication she never gets to eat what she spends so long slaving over?

  • No, implication is, following theme of program, is she doesn't get love and food is the substitute.

  • Oh. Well that makes sense actually.

  • I also think it is something to do with her being in denial about her working class nature, and never getting to eat normal food. You can see this with the biscuits and the chips in other episodes, which she eats after he insults them.

  • the last point you made is very good but i just hink because she thought screw out. and i think she was comfort eating

  • this is fantastic. i came across it by accident 2day. i thought i t was a real cookin program so i thought id hav it on in the background. anyway it was on and i heard the woman say smethin like "where would u b without me" directed 2 the audience and the guy said smethin like "magaluf" XD. i thought this cnt b right lol.

  • haha his reply is 'mykonos'.. as in the greek island

  • Not one, but three Doctors! And one being Spanish! If you think I'm off my rocker I do mean all 3 actors-

Richard E Grant - Scream Of The Shalka - Alternate!Ninth Doctor

Arabella Weir - Doctor Who Unbound - AlternateFemale!Doctor

David Tennant - Tenth Doctor (needs no introduction)

  • *muttley laughter*

  • LOL!!!! Both Minty and Redferne are too funny in this one. ROFLMAO!!!!

  • That woman stuffing her face at 7:13 for half a minute...hilarious!

  • "You can tell when meat's been happy?!" rofl, i discovered this show last night on PBS and I'm hooked! Never laughed so hard in my life

  • lmfaooo! i laughed so hard

    they are too funny

  • This is hilarious! "The embarrassed mussels" lol. David Tennant pretending to be Spanish Lmao! Yeeeess

  • AHAHAHAHAHA! He's so BRILL! This is just one of the Posh Nosh episodes he is in, there is another, but he doesn't pretend to be spanish

  • Thanks CandyWarhol! I would have never found that ep if it wasn't for you. I didn't know he was in more than one.

  • Do you know which one?

  • Did he say the wine should "pee in your mouth"? LOL!

  • Ping! Wine should ping in your mouth.

  • I can't believe that was David Tennant at the end haha.

  • poor Minty! lol. She's such a gem!

  • Rice. Rice is an English word.

  • The embarressed musscles ! LMAO

  • paella

  • LOL! my shaved fennel... genius!

  • wonderful! hahaha loved David Tennant at the very end as the dodgy Tennis Coach!

  • I was watching this a few minutes ago on the telly and totally did not recognize David! XD

  • haha great

  • This IS the best - WHY not more? I saw it at 2:15am on PBS. Criminal. MORE!!!

  • La paella (pron.: pa-e-ya) debe estar de pena, pero son unos cachondos.

  • I had to go out and eat Paella after watching this so many times lol.

  • No matter how many times I see these...I laugh everytime. Brilliant! Wish I could see Arabella Wier in some other things. Any ideas?

  • Have you tried The Fast Show?...gently humiliated over a futon of hypoallergenic goose fat.

  • "Rice, rice is an English word..." XD

  • Oh, why can't they get a DVD out, they did for Look Around You, and this is so similar in sensibility.

  • I LOVED this when it was on air.

  • I want some home-schooled chicken.

  • lmao i love the terminology she is using

  • OMG lol!!! This has to be one of the sharpest funniest shows ever..."We make our own stock, but by all means buy stock cubes, if you have low self esteem (gestures towards the screen) lol!! "Firm and moist as Tom Cruise after a hot bath"...just full of classics this one is!

  • he is gay... secretly... SO FUNNY!

  • or not so secrectly!

  • Thanks for posting. I saw some eps on TV and I loved them but I never saw the ones with David Tennant in them until I saw your uploads!

  • It's so funny that some people writing on here, thought this was serious

  • It's a satire, idiot.

  • Its called a spoof you fucking simpleton, in case you dont know what spoof means it is a tv show created for the means of drawing humour from something so dont jump to conclusions about something when you are obviously too fucking stupid to understand it in the first place.

  • What are they doing? Making comedy, not paella.

  • The song is a bit from Raggle Taggle Gypsy. You'll notice they kind of mumble "gypsy" so not to offend anyone.

  • I thought they said Raggle Taggle Gypsy whore, which is funny in itself

  • "awful Cliff Richard necks"...LOL, I had to watch a few Cliff Richard vids here on youtube to see what Simon meant.

  • Let's order Simon from his official website, I think he is awfully hot!

  • Love how he gets more and more upset as she doesn't stop saying paella..

  • She wouldn't stop "checking"! HAHAHA! That was so funny!

  • The only thing worse than being Minty would be actually having to sleep with that guy!

  • Pie-Ezh-uh, usually.

  • Uh, yes, her mispronouncing it is one of the jokes, if you bother watching it to the one-minute mark.

  • exactly!lol i wish people would stop calling it "pie-ell-er"

  • at 7:27 she really gets into it ROFL!!!! song fitts this show so good, awesome!

  • he is so mean to her and why doesnt she know that he is gay i love this show its hilarious!!!!

  • She knows that he's gay, she's just in a state of denial in order to keep her status.

  • Oh Minty. Poor, poor Minty.

  • interogate!

    Thrilling times may vary

The cheap ones are the best.... ahh classic

  • hello sarah :P

  • By all means buy stock cubes, if you have low self-esteem.

  • "Smell the happiness on THAT!"

These people are ridiculous, I am PMP every time

  • i agree.

    PMP?

  • Pissing my pants (sorry)

  • real funny. i don't think i get all the jokes, but nevertheless.

  • i really wish this would be released on dvd already!

  • Ok, now THAT one was a bit funnier... hahaha

  • I check my seasoning the same way.

  • did she just say pah-yella!!? wow

  • Thanks for posting

  • The right pronunciation is something like pah-eh-ja (the j sounds like in "jam")

  • Does she say "home-schooled" chicken? "we use organic freerange homeschooled chicken" that is about the funniest thing I have heard, and I WILL steal it.

  • "You'll need to interrogate them, several times over."

I love the words they use for preparation methods! (L)

  • I can't wait till they strip-search the broccoli.

  • "Thrilling times may vary." Yes, they certainly may!

Okay, that ending was a tad disturbing.

  • God. Damn. It.

That's funny. Makes me really rethink myself in the kitchen.

  • That oven-glove joke was genius. I love Posh Nosh.

  • "rice...rice is an english word". lol! one of the funniest shows i've seen. wish they were all on dvd

  • "Pie-yella" - ROLMAO!!!!
