  • I'm in a wheelchair and disabled, should I also make the whole table myself, tablesaw, router and such or find a top and order this?

  • give your head a check you didnt make it you just put it togather

  • So basically an Ikea-style flat pack table.

  • Some of you guys have some really harsh words, why don't you read the description and take this for what it is. Its an instructional video for a table kit. He made the top himself which includes much woodworking. Its just a youtube video, not the moon landing or something like that. Go square a large piece of wood or sharpen your blades, you'll be fine.

  • youdidnt make it, you just put it together. any \body could put together something that is already made. what a pussy!

  • you call your self a wood worker im 17 and a do much better project then you and you work for a company lame.

  • Can we say over kill with the pocket holes?

  • so funny..i thought at first, this dude made this in a weekend so decided to watch it. but the whole thing is already made!! all you do it PUT IT TOGETHER! lol this isnt woodworking. it is assembeling.

  • John, you are ridiculous "you want to see how I made this coffee table"

    Buhahaha !

  • Video starts with "you want to see how I made this coffee table". I was excited and watched the video only to find ready made parts being unpacked and assembled. This is not "...i made...". Please change to "...I assembled...". I am a serious woodworker and take pride in making parts from scratch, sometimes from very rough wood. I don't even buy ready made table legs to make tables.

  • I'm sorry. The way I was raised and taught by my grandfather on woodworking was if he ever saw me pre-order anything like this while he was alive two things would have happened. 1. He would have kicked my ass for the amount of time assembly took. 2. He would have taken a sledgehammer to it and told me to make it myself. I just couldn't see the enjoyment of not designing it and milling all the parts myself. And I will never never use pocket screws on a project either. The slots are ugly to me.

  • @Sho81

Hard to believe you folks don't recognize this video for what it is - a paid endorsement of this companies product. I am woodworker, and this type of "kit" doesn't appeal to me (I'd rather make it myself), but there are people out there that would feel satisfaction out of assembling and finishing a table using these components. Osborne Wood offers an impressive array of all sorts of wood products to compliment a woodworker's work. I love the breadboard top that I made for this table.

  • @EagleLakeWoodworking Oh I understood that it was an advertisement video. I have watched other videos of yours and liked a number of them. I liked your touches on the pool table videos with the veneering work.

  • @EagleLakeWoodworking Sell out.

  • @Sho81 As opposed to products for people like me, who want to get started in wood working, yet don't possess a full shop of woodworking tools. In the end I end up with a mostly custom non-veneered piece of furniture for my home that I can reproduce fairly easily as I need additional tables etc.

Not everyone has the time, the tools, or the skill to build furniture from scratch. Maybe someday, in the meantime products such as this keep me from being angry at the cr*p furniture stores sell.

  • @Sho81 Yea don't use those pocket holes because we all know I'm going to look under your table. lol

  • @deleetmeeh The fact of the matter is that I don't care if no one ever looks under there. I know it is still there. And there would be no way I would ever use pocket screws for someone paying me to make it for them. If you are fine with using pocket screws on your projects or if that is all your skill level allows then by all means use them. I'm saying I never would.

  • It took you a weekend to assemble a coffee table.... lol

  • mate, go to ikea

  • Thanks. Clear and with an easy going style. Keep bringing your videos.

  • you didint build it you just assembled it dufus!

  • So wait... you really didn't make this table.. you bought it??? How is this wood working?

  • Part II of this series will show how I made the top. The breadboard ends are a decent woodworking challenge. Between showing the table top construction and my sanding and finishing methods, you'll see a decent amount of woodworking.
