I saw this tour and yes they were deafening. Far too loud. I walked out half way through. Foreigner were the best on the night.

Saw this concerttonight at the MGM Las Vegas. Night Ranger was so-so and, by default, Foreigner's act became the most enjoyable part of the show. Neal Schon sabotaged Journey by insisting on having everything at deafening maximum volume and extended guitar solos on every song. The solos were so irritating that and the volume so loud that Journey's music was reduced to simply NOISE.

Journey could have stopped touring all together, but instead they are going on tour for there fans, and all people do is bitch because Steve isn't there, Steve is Journey and everyone knows that he was great, but damn, he needed a break for himself, and they are trying to please you guys by continuing on and instead people bitch about it.

Steve Perry is Journey, Look at the song writing credits. How many hits did Journey have before or after SP. Nada! These guys are milking off Steve's songs and are merely a cover band. Schon is a great guitarist and that is his own claim to fame.

Two years of touring, really, Neal grow up! And what happened to your face? Stop with the Steve Perry bull. Why do you keep signing your old music, Just keep playing your new stuff. You are living in the past. If you think Neal is the band, it will never happen. When you think of journey, you think of Steve Perry. Steve Perry was a tremendeously great singer, he had a great gift. But, i've choosed to not compare Arnel and Perry, 'cause this is two different singers with different pasts. Arnel is indeed very talented and he seem's to have a really great personality and the new Journey record "Eclipse" kicks ass!

Seriously, all this Perry-talk is just embarrasing, at least if you ask me. I'm a big fan of Steve Perry, but he hasn't been a member of Journey since 1998 and he hasn't released a solo album since 1994, come on, that's 17 years ago, i mean wake up. I just start laughing, reading comments on Arnel like "man this guy is not even the beginning of a pimple on steve perry's ass". How old are you? 16? If you want people to take you seriously, you should not use comments like that one :)
