@SoulrapeR100 You know Opeth has been around since probably before you were born? They have been progressing for over 20 years. Of course they are not going to sound the same. MC indeed has some attributes associated with Opeth such as the progressive melodies. Agalloch is also definitely a good comparison considering lyrical content and atmosphere.

@briank06261973 Very true, im trying to find the monad of creation album. It's a bit of a stretch but if you like Evoken you should check out disEMBOWLEMENT since they're their main influence. And they're another good doom band from australia.

@prodigy45 "Exhumed of the Earth" and "Within the Ancient Forest" are two of my favorite albums by Paramaecium. Both albums are great doom death with some flutes and female operatic voice thrown into the mix. A prime example of this is the song "The Birth/Massacre of the Innocents" from "Exhumed" that has some operatic vocals in it, and a good song with flutes in the mix is "The Killing" off of the same album. Most awesome mix indeed.
