He is one of only a select few who can do this and it is because of his strength. Have you ever seen Amare hold Dwight Howard out of the paint? Have you ever seen Amare even successfully check (guard) a real center? he not even strong enough to hold Gasol out of the paint. Amare is a great player but perkins is an animal.
