Mimmox and ImJordan were both very famous EU players during first years of AOC. But they can't beat the Asian, especially Korean players. Oh how I miss this period :)

Mimmox used to have a very good game, in team, in Yucatan Cup if I don't misremember. He played Persian and defended both Koven and Vile (again if I don't misremember) - finally Vile said that Mongols was nothing comparing with Persian :))

Age of Empires 2 has ALL of those features you mentioned. Starcraft 1, which came out a year after AoE 1, didn't have an idle worker button either.

@Pandoora Problem is they have a slow and in a rush situation - harsh and difficult start, which i have seen - can be fatal... meaning the game finished after 17 minutes :P

But if you manage to play defensively for the rush phase, get to the castle age and boom... HAHA well the other guys -> F*****

I tend to make exaggarated examples but still I have seen better ones trust me. you don´t have to go to TV to prove you´re good do you? but hey me and my friend once fought side by side. he was defending against two while I was trying to take offensive. My opponent was teuton and I was goth. Teuton was in the imperial age. after some 30 minutes I defeated teuton and told my pal: guess I should go to castle age... he said WTF?!

@TAZMANY11 that way you learn to use all civs well. huns are easy to use ´cause they don´t need houses and have strong and awfully quickly created cavalry. goths are rather difficult since you need to use more troops than normally to defend your base. goths have wicked creation speed for barrackses though... but its no use once you run out of food and elite samurai and elite war elephant hordes are pouring in my base...
