its common after long time of use the thermal glue kinda burns off of the cpu and the gpu so what u gotta do is disassemble the entire thing heat up the board for about 15-20 minutes and then reaply thermal glue on the cpu and gpu and smooth it out with a credit carc, then reassemble, but this is only the most common way it breaks and the way to fix it, also the only way 2 fix it is to remove the lable seal which voids your warenty, unless u know something about lables then u can get past that 2

Flip your switch on in the back like 6 to 10 times like on then of 6 to 7 times without turning the power button on in the front and then when your done with the switching then try to turn it back on from the front. If it works message me and if it dosent then sorry man.

Now that you can get Dualshock 3 controllers, if the PS3 was the same price as the 360, the PS3 is better for most things:

Built in WiFi, Bluetooth, mem card reader, Blu-ray player, rechargeable controllers, free online gameplay, web-browser and it looks better (opinion). Sixaxis sucks.

BUT the 360 is better for online play simply because more people have them, I think the controller is more comfortable and I kinda like the NXE.

It also depends if you like Halo or MGS4.
