Back in the 50's-70's they use to do fire burnouts with top fuel, funny, stock and other drag cars at events. They would put gasoline instead of water in the water box, they where very exciting for the fans and even though no one is known to have been injured or hurt for the 20+ years this was sanctioned they banned it by the NHRA for being to dangerous.
