it`s not meant for reaching high speeds it's meant to accelerate brutally. the wheels are too small and would heat up quite fast, what causes climbing pressure in the wheel and making it go boom. just like the veyron wheels do after driving top speed for 15 minutes, which isn't possible cos you would run out of gas after 10 minutes
well the yamaha 125cc shifter karts rev to 16:000 rpm, im sryy im only 13 but im into this, i may get a tony kart chassis and build an all custom haybus but govern it for slower accel and larger tires and a timed gas tank so i dnt blow tires and die:p lol

Eighty MPH? Man, I had a kart with a 6HP Kohler four-stroke engine on it with no transmission. That would hit eighty mph.
Those Rotax engines put out 20+ HP. You should be hitting 120 mph easy with the right gearing. Don't be so humble. Go ahead and brag. ;)
