Congrats on the Bronze!

I remember doing my gold in Wales. I have found memories of the trip, but I think that's because I'm repressing a good portion of it. The rest consists of flashes of hills, freeze dried food, hills, fights with team mates, hills, exhaustive leg pain, and a weather system so foul we took turns praying to different storm gods for mercy. Also I think there were a few hills we had to hike over.

i did it at the weekend 22 miles :| never walked so much in me life an i lst me phone at the campsite an carried a hole tent on me bill an me rucksack weighd 4 an a half stone an im only 5 ft :( an a duck quacked all nite aan the horses neighed all time an if i see if i have walk through anothe r field in me life i mite die :( an the campin place was am mile from the toilet an me mate needed it in the middle of the nite :(:( so im lookin for a new phone now :D:D:D:D x

OMG Bronze is so easy. I've just done my Gold, and that was ok. You had it easy. Just got back after a 97km treck.

don't think of it as a whole journey. set yourself targets of smaller distances. that makes it way easier

what litre of rucksack should be used for DOFE expeidtions well one that will be fine for all stages e.g. bronze,silver and gold

mine was like 70litres....it kinda depends on whether your a light packer and what your gonna be carrying...some poor sucker gets the tent!!!!

LMFAO my silver practice was immense. Stuck up a 200m hill in a blizard, snow up to the knees, one hand frozen coz i lost my glove. Absoloute torture. And i loved every minute of it :D
