Hilarious! I love this video. I get the sense that these people really get how tough some health circumstances can be and a little laughter is always appropriate.
I imagine some people will always want to live as "OMG woe is me" - that's their prerogative: who am I to tell another how to deal with a threat? But when I faced imminent death, I chose to get it in gear, get engaged, do everything in my power to help my cause. That included every kind of online resources I could find. I had a lot to learn & a lot of logistical challenges to handle; a website like this can be great!
Empowering tools like this really help. This stuff works.
As someone who used a similar service during a near-fatal cancer three years ago, I STRONGLY disagree with the people who think this video is inappropriate. It's BRILLIANT!
On many occasions I've wanted to convey to people why a "web 2.0" service like this is valuable. This video does a terrific job of telling the story in 2:21. That's a big achievement. (I work in marketing myself so I have some idea what this takes.)
Leatherman really rocks Careflash! Every time our little Jeffie goes in for dialysis he insists the nurses play it at least 5 times! Beyond how well the coloring and drawing takes their mind off their worries, its always leatherman that evokes giggles and gets them talking as though their with best friends! This is more of a relief than we can tell you. So much of our lives are filled with the somberness of having a child with an amazing spirit-yet up against tough odds. We love you careflash!
We loved seeing the Leatherman video! It is very well thought-out. If there is one thing we have seen in supporting our son (leukemia) it is that laughter is too hard to come by but undoubtedly the best medicine for us all! Where we consistently live with mountains of worry and concern, it made us ecstatic seeing his giggles and radiance as he watched the video. His best days are those we can see a smile brought to his innocent face. Keep-up the great work Careflash-You make a huge difference!
This is distasteful, kind of like a parody or a Weird Al Jankovic music video - I see where it's supposed to be very hip but when you're in a crisis - the last thing you want to see is weird guy rapping about a "care related" service.
I get what the company is trying to do, however in the marketing aspect of it, it's just very distasteful. I agree with eschipul - very creepy video, kind of makes me think - who is your audience or do you know?
This is a great video in every respect, and in fact especially from a marketing standpoint. It delivers a vitally important message within a humorous context - one far more likely to be remembered by the watcher than if delivered in the typical "gloom and doom" format so often employed by backers of the care provider community.

I strongly disagree. Making light of care-giving, potentially people in hospice, seems an unwise marketing strategy.
Benny Hill this is not. Sorry, but this video completely creeps me out.
