  • It's a damn shame this colt isn't going to be heading for Churchill Downs. His run in this race, IMO, far and away supersedes any other Derby prep winner that I've seen this year. Much more impressive than any win Dialed In, Soldat, or any other Derby hopeful has had. I would've been all over Premier Pegasus at the betting window if he had made it to Churchill Downs? JMO.

  • Sad news, Premier Pegasus was found to have a hairline fracture injury this morning, and has been scratched from the SA Derby on Saturday, and is likely off the Triple Crown trail. I personally ranked him above Uncle Mo. Let's all hope he makes a fast recovery and we're able to see him again real soon.

  • Wouldn't really compare it to blame/zenyatta HOWEVER most people will simply turn to dialed in as the main closer in the derby this year and people will forget about this one. Can't wait for this weekend and im just glad the derby is not Uncle Mo's race to lose this year because as long as The Factor does well next week with this one and dialed in etc etc etc. Were going to have a hell of a derby to handicap this year. More or less a triple crown winner if all run to there best.

  • Looks like we have the possibility of a Blame/Zenyatta situation with Premier Pegasus playing the role of Blame...mid pack, steady but strong closer VS Last to first phenom Dialed in starring as Zenyatta. Uncle Mo and The Factor get mangled in a speed duel and only one of them makes the Superfecta. Right now? Dialed In, Premier Pegasus, ALL, (Uncle Mo & The Factor) my Superfecta pick...flip the ALL to fourth for a backup plan.

  • Oh my....

  • wow! How versatile! able to run from any spot. My pick for the triple crown :D

  • Liked him from day one...gonna be my pick!

  • WOW that was very impressive!!!

  • Premier Pegasus is my favourite 3 year old colt of 2011 :)

  • He stays healthy and makes it to the derby, this year's Derby is looking like it could set up for a closer to possibly upset, with a kick like that he's a very legit contender. He's definitely one to keep an eye out for the Derby in the coming weeks

  • Nice to see him rate and explode like that.

  • this is my derby horse

  • I was so glad that Mr. Cho decided to take the blinkers off. PP showed me in the San Vicente that he can stalk. I was a little worried about jock Quinonez as he was 0 for 65 going into Saturdays card. But what a run. And most importantly Mr. Cho has not asked this horse for his best: if you check his work out lines, Mr. Cho is being very Charlie Whittinghamesque with the works, only having 1- 5 furlong work instead of this steady diet of drills that other trainers usually do

  • Quinonez didn't need to use the whip at the eighth pole, this horse was much the best today. Truth be told, forget about who you think the best 3yo truly is...I'm looking at all these different running styles with regards to pace and wondering how the Derby will set up. Some preps have blistering fractions like this one did, while others are at an absolute snails pace. Many solid horses for this year's 3yo crop IMO.

  • The most impressive performance I saw by any Kentucky Derby hopeful on the day. By far!!

  • @GBeret83 With out Doubt this is one to watch! Well he just exploded didn't he? That could be even more impressive then it looked, those he beat there where quite good horses in there own right, but Premier Pegasus just made them look ordinary the way he left them in his tracks, they had no answer there he litterally ran them off there feet

  • @MrNativeDancer, pretty sure he's going to stay in California and run in the Santa Anita Derby next. If he wins the SA Derby this impressively? Likely that Uncle Mo will have some company at the windows come Kentucky Derby day.

  • @GBeret83 Jaycito came out of this race with a bruised foot and also missed the triple crown races.Good news though, Jaycito has been working out very well and is in great shape. Look for him to run @ Saratoga
