I really believe that illuminati exist, to do not make a direct reference in Metal Gear Solid they call them "Patriots". I saw in tv 2 months ago, a documental about the illuminatis. They said that theres a posibility that most of the USA presidents they were controlled by them, 14 people are the important people of the gruop. In Metal Gear Solid the president said that they wear 14! Coincidence uh? documental 2 months ago and Metal Gear SOlid 2 is in 2004.

The 4 computer AI's of MGS2/4 are GW, TJ, TR and AL. Now this is the clever part. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Rosavelt, Abraham Lincoln. All of the AI's are the initial's of the first 4 presidents, and JD runs them all...John Doe, Big Bosses real name and also the leader of the patriots!!! It all fits ;)

All the members of the original Patriots are dead. The Patriots are run by AI's GW, TJ, TR and AL with JD (standing for John Doe) being the AI that controlled them all. If you saw the ending of MGS4, ZERO is the one who created the AI network.

All in all... the plot of the MGS franchise is quite complex and confusing, with so many plot twists that leave you more with unanswered questions. As a fan though, I love the MGS series. :D
