The Lennon Sisters could never have imagined what a profound impact that their singing would have on millions around the world. Fifty years on and I have only heard of them for the first time. I'm gobsmacked!
You're kidding, right? If not, you've got a wealth of heavenly music to discover. And I'm sure the sisters would be thrilled to know they're still gaining new fans!
No, I'm not kidding. I live on the West Coast of Australia and we had never heard of the Lennon's here. TV here started at 6:00pm and finished at 10:00pm... and that was in the 60's. My old music is special to me and finding the Lennon Sisters on YouTube has just been the greatest. I truly feel like a prospector finding a vein of gold.
I too have only recently discovered the talent and beauty of the Lennon Sisters. I happened to have stumbled upon their version of Melodie D'Amour and I have been hooked ever since. I wish I was old enough to have seen all 4 of them perform live.
Yeah, I was born and raised in New York. If it wasn't for Youtube, I probably would never have known about them. How unfortunate would that have been?
This is such a gorgeous song and they, as usual, develop all its potential to the maximum. They gave every song they ever sang everything it needed. Even at this tender age they bestowed on the lyrics heartfelt interpretation, not just singing the song but feeling the song.
@1stCornet u know..its not that any of them were homely...they are all extremely enchanting to behold...but since you declared Peggy, i must say my vote has and forever will be for Kathy...she is stunning.

Even our oldies radio stations don't play the Lennon Sisters. We've been robbed! Did you grow-up in the States?
