Thank you for your comment. The YMCAs Across Southwestern Ontario are audited by a third party on an annual basis. We are happy to share these audited statements with any potential or current donor. The funds raised by Strong Kids go directly to helping individuals in our community access programs and services they could otherwise not afford. We are proud of the impact we are making in building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
Those that choose to donate to the local Strong Kids Campaign might want to see if their donation actually went to where they thought their donations were going the last few years. Employees have left the Y due to fraudulent practices regarding misappropriation of donations and core funder donations. I'm not saying to not donate to the Strong Kids Campaign, but ask to see where the funds go prior to signing a cheque. The United Way funds a large part of what the Y claims they do. Be wise please
