There are many issues that don't categorize this as a very professional performance (the most prevalent being intonation and phrasing), but i love this kid anyway xD
guys, he's freaking 10. give him a break. im sure you couldnt play this on clarinet when you were 10. even though i play the cello and don't know much about the clarinet, this is pretty damn good
I hope he's learning not only "performance" but wind band method, not being the star the whole time. I highly doubt that at the age of ten he has the reed expertise needed to be the genius most of him claim to be. If he practices, he could be great, but let's hope he doesn't get child star syndrome.
Nice work for your age at the time. I hope you're now learning not to prioritize speed and flashiness over note accuracy and tone. You should want to be known as an artist who creates beauty and clarity in your interpretations, not as only a loud, rapid-fire technique machine. I don't believe that you have to grow up first to understand that; you can learn it now. Faster and louder are not necessarily better. Judicious restraint is also an important part of musical artistry. Best wishes to you.
Can you give me some tips on how to tongue as fast? XD My tongue is already close to the reed.:p

the tone was bad in the beginning. it sounded flat. tonguing needs work. accompanist made some minor mistakes.
but amazing, coming from a 10 year old

I admire his technical skills soo much.
BUT he needs to put more emotion in it.
Overall though, it was good even though it was fast... like his sound didn't get smudged even though it was pretty fast.

I played no worse at 11. It's not that hard if you practice 3 -4 hours a day... Everything else is hype.
