  • Dam looks like fun. I wonder if they have these in the UK.

Its pretty tight though, do you use your handbake or is that better left to the rally cars?

  • @DonJuanDeMarco2: You're right, it is very fun. No handbrake needed. This was a particularly tight course and we're limited on how we can set it up at this location due to the light poles. Our other location, Marina, is more open and flexible, but we tend to have more technical rather than high speed courses.

  • @jvr826 Sounds great. I have a stock 330ci M-Sport 2001, which comes with the sport suspension,1" larger disc brakes and wider rears, but thats all.

I was wondering, what would i need to prep the car for something like autocross ?

Also, what kind of wear and tear (other than tyres) should i expect ? Its quite old, just over 100k mileage but it pretty much flawless. Would i be pushing the car to an early grave even with regular servicing ?

Sorry about the 100 questions !

  • @DonJuanDeMarco2 Bring what you got, no need to customize anything. Our club has plenty of bone stock cars that run quite successfully. Some tires are better than others for this sort of fun, I like the Dunlop Star Spec's personally. Normal wear and tear items apply plus control arms and bushings, wheel bearings. Abrupt changes in direction will stress these components, we all keep an eye on them. If you hit a lot of cones, then your front bumper may take a little abuse.

  • Jvr, a big hand to you mate, thanks for your time.

  • your courses are way to easy especially with the cones pretty much forcing you to go one way.

  • Good run
