@MyAhsun thanks for your comment )) yep everyone knows of henry the 8th..I am fascinated by British/English history but I think it would be cool if we expanded everyone's horizons in terms of history :D There are so many intriguing stories and lives that haven't been touched upon in popular media. You notice that Ivan IV actually respect the wives that treated him well, but reacted terribly at their deaths. Yet he dispensed the wives who cheated on him or could not bear children for him.
I'm not saying what Ivan IV did was right, but inside he valued the same things any good man would in a wife.
@carefulcarpenter I'm guessing because he was King (Tsar). Also, in those times women basically had to do what their families told them to do and ambitious families were always trying to use their daughters for further advancement.
