  • you are all a bunch of pathetic low life filled with envy little fkrs. respect the team that build that cuz they make theyr own money and spend it on something productive, not snow to snort like u mfrz!

  • @bondaru81 I think you should spend your money on a grammar class or two...

  • now make it run on H2O

  • that looks like an allison 250engine roughly 700-800hp

  • reminds me of being a kid and strapping fire cracker on my toy car...this however i think is a grown man undergoing middle age crisis...

  • sooooo gay it didnt even level up with those cars in the highway!!!! my 2003 cavalier can smoke that thing

  • I bet it gets "fairly" decent MPG.

  • extreme douch-a-thon

  • 1 mile per gallon ftw.

  • блеать- и чО? а скорость то какая? разгон? самое главно то Б Л Я Т Ь где????????

  • is it street legal

  • all of that to just take the power frum 200 to 400 horses

u might at well just buy a Dodge Challenger SRT8 that already has that kind of power stock

  • could have at least put it in an original mini...

  • I don't mean to be a jackass, I mean this is cool, but it's so stupid at the same time... who the hell in their right mind would sit inches from an engine like that without some sort of a firewall?

  • What part of Florida do you test this in or run it at? I'm in the Central Florida (Orlando) area and would LOVE to see this thing run or be tested if you ever take it out in public.

  • Stop giving negative comments! Yeah they spend a lot of money... but they make their dreams do come true... no matter how hilarious it is (& keep us entertained on YouTube:-)... I just dream of having a 2nd hand Toyota Previa.... now that's hilarious!

I ALWAYS LOVE THE SOUND OF A TURBINE ENGINE :-)

  • Not much else you can do in the back of a Mini.

  • whats the MPG??

  • @gaivoron for some engines the question isn't MPG...its GPM...is this such an engine?

  • perfect for everyday driving !!!!....nice and quiet!!!

  • wwwwwwwzzzzzzzzz 30 mph...40 mph...50 mph!!!!!! dddddeeeeeaaammmmm 53 mph!!!!! agggggrrrhhhhh uuufffffffff !!! 54,5!!!! ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!! // yes...it's so faster! uh! diablo car!

I'm running faster, quieter and cheaper. Greetings from Russia

  • @nitroglicirin hilarious !

  • @veskopolo yep)

  • awesome..

  • alot of pretty jealous people here

  • question... so do you bring the rpm's up to 2k then use a clutch system to move? or does it increase rpms as you accelerate like any other vehicle? the y2k bike stays at a constant rpm while it is on then uses a clutch with just one gear

  • this is insane

  • can you at least get away from cops in this thing ??

  • this would probably be illegal in the uk

  • @nick199009 I'm sure it's illegal here too.

  • It makes a lot of noise i guess. I respect the amount of work, and it looks quite call..........But........

A stock Works Cooper S can hit 0-60mph in less than 7 secs, top speed 130+ mph and return 25 ish mpg. And you can insure it anywhere.

  • Probably the driver couldn't hear a thing. LOL

  • 10 yards per gallon anyone? but heck its still cool

  • my tiburon goes faster then that

  • Comment removed

  • @bmwfan4lyfe please read up on how a turbine work, better than the M5 engine would be a 600hp electric motor now that pure torque once it's on

  • y ?????

  • That can't be street legal..

  • how much do you spend on gas?!

  • What did it run on the drag?

  • where is acceleration????

  • Looks quite slow.

  • How many miles to the gallon does that thing get??? Zero?

  • Road legal? Serious?

  • Good job !

  • The future V-tol Mini-Craft!

  • enemy bmp, 500.

  • I applaude the guy for constructing such a creature. But it doesnt look like instant power.

Looks like a lot of power and a lot of lag.

I want to see it at the strip.

  • The bit I really don't get is the use of an automatic gearbox in a Cooper S

  • so its like a closed system turbine engine and the power goes to the wheels?

  • Neighbors must be PISSED at you when if you come home at 1 in the morning

  • haha must be a Vietnam Vet engineer with Agent Orange in his brain. LOL

  • Good bye ear drums. ;3

  • eu mein got

  • so after all this ....all i ll have is a buzzing mini cooper.... but appreciate ur efforts. u have talent

  • how loud and hot is it in cab?

  • This is my dream build. Not specifically in a mini, but a jet engine in a car. Im a 3rd year Mech Engineer at FIU. I one day hope to successfully accomplish such a feat.

  • i love it, it's brilliant...that would get me to work in 5mins!

    what about fuel economy?

  • this, kids, is what you call "throwing money out of the window"!

  • think of the potential! 10ft per-gallon!!

  • Very impressive build! I'm surprised I didn't see this earlier.

  • I would see you not getting the point of this if your a PUSSY because this is great

  • Oh you got a jet engine huh? yea thats pretty cool....i got the warp drive engine from Enterprise bitch! wanna race? lol

  • 400+ bhp damn man..

  • Bet that's the first Mini with a decent heater....

  • @dpenz actually all german cars have kick ass heaters.... think about it... they are from germany

  • but will it blend?

  • das gibt schonmal 20 punkte in flensburg und führerschein entzug auf dauer in germany

  • What would be the fuel economy with this? MPG Jet fuel cost?

  • immagine what the police would look like if they stop you lol

  • but...will it blend?

  • @MonsterEnergySurf lololololol hopefully i wasnt the only one that got that...

  • hahahaha no fucking way

  • Did you think of porting the intakes to the rear side-windows rather than the roof so it wouldn't be as tall?

  • where do you buy jet-a in a mini cooper?

  • yea.... I don't see the point..... very stupid, just crumphy money...!!!!

  • I just don't see the point.

  • @Mr808Late You obviously have no love for gas turbine's... There is no 'point'. Its a mini with what basically equates to a jet-engine in it. If you don't see the point in that, you never will.

  • @Mr808Late because they can.

  • F*ck Fuel Economy

  • this is really cool stuff man... but in a mini its totally contradicting LMAO.

Someone do this to like an NSX or something stable and aerodynamic.

  • very cool but very stupid that the throttle requires you to only have one hand on the wheel... major flaw in my opinion

  • one massive trubo haha

  • ..........................................LMFAO.

  • I'll run him with my van if he's up for it search turbine van

  • Ok, this is officially INSANE :-D

    Greetz,

    Joseph

  • All show no gi

  • All you need is wings to complete the project for it to fly! Sounds awesome.

  • won't that catch the car behind you on fire in a traffic jam, and is it street legal?

  • drive full speed

  • Um, any torque-steer?

  • airplain mini lol i think you over exaggerated with the engine it must be loud as fuck when your in tht thing.

  • Typical american, a mini with an automatic transmission...

    x'D

  • the car has an automatic aisin 6-speed transmission. anyone knows if all the HP and torque pass through the transmission? thanks

  • ONLY IN DETROIT M-O-T-O-R CITY BABE

  • *driving on freeway and hear jet engine noise next to my car*

    WTF?

  • You got all the technical stuff in your video that I didn't have access to, and even some of my video. Cool. My vid has the Mini-Jet racing the GTR at the Homestead Miami Speedway. And winning(technically anyway). Nice job.

  • LOL it's even got a cup holder

  • No, it's 317HP not 640.

  • song ?????

  • somebody knows the name of song pls ? :)

  • (start inside joke)So...where did you out the oscillation overthruster?(end inside joke)

  • @MrUnidyne

    He's not Buckaroo Banzai.

  • There seems to be a growing popularity of jet powered cars.

  • What about noise level? I think the noise won't be too good for your ears.

  • cool.

  • Having shared the track with it at Homestead Miami Speedway in my 2002 Cooper S it was outrageously fast in a staight line but seeming dangerous trying to turn. Are there plans to try to make it turn a corner or will this be a drag machine? Since the Mini is a throttle by wire any thoughts of syncronizing the two engines to the single throttle pedal?

My hats off to you for your engineering feat.

  • @yachtcomputing As for the handling, you are right the Mini-jet is best suited for the drag strip. We spent several weeks designing shocks, with helper springs, and a custom sway bar. Unfortunately we are dealing with about 300 pounds of extra stuff in the back seat. The car does very well on the drag strip. I'm interested to see what it could do on top speed. Correctly geared I believe it could do over 160mph My fear is that at that speed it could over wind the front engine. (see next post)

  • @yachtcomputing we talked about doing a sycronized drive by wire system, using the another electronic throttle body as an actuator for the turbines accelerator cable. However since the two engines have totally different power, ans acceleration curves I think it would be a challenge to make it work correctly. Remember the turbine engine is relatively slow on the spool up. but once moving its also slow on the deceleration.

  • @pr0mini Why a mini?

  • @pr0mini vectored thrust is the answer.
