Why not have an RS-NOR latch that sends power only to the redstone torch for each individual question? Then the player can look back and see which they got right or wrong.

The scoreboard can be automatically reset with a clock and an and gate.

If the trivia is over, and the reset is triggered, it checks if there is power in any of the score torches.

Run a wire on a row of blocks on top of them. If that wire is powered the board is not reset. As long as it is not reset the clock will keep triggering the pistons and looping the score "belt" of conductive and non conductive blocks, when none of them are on clock stops, score is reset.

You could make it so that once the game is over, a player could press a button that would activate a rapid pulser enough times to get the final torch deactivated, which will stop the rapid pulser, completely resetting the scoring system. Idk if this helps but u iz awesum

You can make an RSNOR latch in 2x2, you don't need 3x3.

For the scoring mechanism, it'd be better (although more expensive in pistons) instead of a loop to have positional indicators, so that if question 5 is correct it pushes a block up/down in spot 5 and powers the torch. So it'll tell you which questions you got right as well as how many. Plus, since you'll have to have an RSNOR behind each one anyway it makes it trivial to reset the score, although you will need redstone question# wires.

Etho for the scoring, under the redstone touches (hidden) have them connected so if you win they flash along using repeaters for a small amount of time then it resets it stuff by going in a loop untill the last one is off, then you can play again, i got a small idea on how to do it but i cant explain :P

for the score reset could you put power to the glass block next to the piston, leading to a not gate which would then activate the pistons. This would then reset the score until there was a dirt block. You have the problem of an odd number of questions, and that making the which-question-am-I-on indicator difficult to manage. ...you can use a different system (have redstone trigger a sticky piston to push a glowstone down into view above the question.) ...or, maybe push something other than glowstone (glass?) so that, at the end of a quiz, it can run a subprocess that keeps going until the glass is above the first question. ...I can't figure out how to do the latter.

Have it to where you have a no spider spawning option (slabs) but also have a spider only option: on each of you pads you have a two high space with glass as the roof, when you hit the lever to retract the slabs, sticky pistons above the roof will push the glass blocks down creating a one-high space for spiders to spawn, you can also hook it up so it lets both spawn at once, not sure how that will work :/

There should be a "hardcore mode" In which you would step inside a point and be stuck there until the end of the game. If you loose, pistons or lava crushes you. If you win, then there would be some prize like cake from a dispenser. That would be really neat!

Maybe Etho to reset your point counter you could have a lever hooked up to a five or four clock and have that repeatedly send power to the pistons to quickly reset the counter, so when you win you just flip the lever untill all the toches are off again and then flip it off. You can push the block behind the sign without it popping off. Instead of glowstone above the current question, you could have glowstone *behind* the current question. I'm also working on a more "spam-proof" anti-cheat design which involves using power transmitting blocks for the wrong answers and glass for the correct answer. This has the side effect of reducing the amount of glass required. I tried half slabs, but on their way down they form double half slabs.
