So let me get this straight. The purpose of the Law (10 Commandments) was to show us we are sinners and need God. You sin, you die. "The wages of sin is death". Stoning wasn't used in EVERY circumstance for EVERY sin, study up on that. Read below because I haven't fully answered your question yet and this would be a huge paragraph

@WillShakespeare2007 Jesus came to do what we couldn't do (fulfill/obey the 10 Commandments, I repeat they are to show us we are sinners and need God to forgive us because we have disobeyed His perfect law, why is it perfect? The first 5 Commandments show us the relationship we are to have with God. The last 5 Commandments show us the relationship we are to have with people. If everyone obeyed them all, this world would be perfect. But we dont, we can't without God. Part 3 below I'm not done yet

People wanted a woman who was caught in the act of adultery to be stoned, as you imply the Bible wants us to do TODAY. Jesus told the people "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” One by one her accusers left. It's in John 8 read it. Hope that answers your question!

@pidner No, God will judge him I am merely knowing people by their fruit just as Jesus Christ commanded us to in Matthew 7:15-16 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits." It is not difficult to see that by this priests own admission he is willing to deny the word of God and elevate the words of men above Gods... hopefully this admonishment pushes the priest to repentance.

@sunnsu Dont get me wrong,I do not agree with the veiws of the preist nor do I the Catholic Church,It is my opinion that Praying to Saints and bowing before statues isnt right,but I also believe that a persons beliefs are between them and God,I think the UFOs are the falling ones personally.My point was no person is perfect,and all must ask to be forgiven if they hope to be delivered,as do I almost daily.

I hope that you see that correcting bad doctrine like praying to saints, or bowing before idols, or denying the word of God when you imply to the lost that you are representing the Bible is not being judgmental but your are contending for the faith. We that know the truth need to stand and speak boldly for what is the truth or the lost will never know. I pray that priest reads this and repents & turns to Christ in faith.
