I hate standing on the Q because by making a steady sound it can "camoflauge" itself in music being played over a motorists radio. If you fluctuate it a little you can pick out the siren much easier. The township that borders us has their rigs set up where only the driver can control the Q while the electronic siren controls almost poke the officer in the eye. EVERY truck will respond with the electronic on wail for the entirety while the driver lays on the Q for every intersection. YEEECCH!

Yeah, the Q usually works better if you let it wind down a little when approaching the intersection...
