first finer 1 is this second finger 2 is the middle finger.. and so on he makes us sound dumb! we no our fingers.... oh and he was like put ur middle finger on this string. well now i have a poem for u retard man tutor!
I like this guy he's the only one who seems to show the guitar and fingers up close so you can see what the hell is being played.Other people go to fast and began showing off playing songs.
growing up in the back woods of oklahoma in the 70s after a hard days work and weekends we would sit on the porch and learn how to play. most kids today want to start squilling a guitar like eddie van halen does but its best to learn them chords first then move on to what ever. what ever works best for ya. good luck and god bless.
Perfect just learned my first chord! BTW I have an Ovation electric acoustic guitar for my first guitar. Is it any good or at least good to start with?
I used to work for a company called Jamplay, they charged so much and they don't even make it simple for beginners to learn! i am now teaching by myself and my price is the cheapest you will find, and you will actually understand the way i teach!
do u press hard on the trings so they dont make a weird vibrating noise. or is it that ur finger cant touch the silver part.(my 2nd day playing) cuz i have to press sorda hard so it makes good noise..is that okay? :S
I really like this one because he actually shows u what string your finger is going on, and what it is "suppose" to sound like. Its very clear instructions.
There isn't much difference between using the 1st and 2nd fingers as opposed to the 2nd and 3rd. I find it easier to use 2nd and 3rd, however it is just as easy using 1st and 2nd, except if you try changing from Eminor to Emajor. It all depends on what you were taught when you first start playing. But bad habits are hard to break with guitar, just do whatever is easiest and gets the best results and you can't go wrong.

if you watched all the way through he does state you can use 1 and 2 or 2 and 3 depending on what you are doing or where you are going at the time. so nice work there columbo.
like it matters you can vary depending on whats best for you. personally i rarely use 2nd and 3rd fingers unless im going to a difficult chord that needs my 1st finger, dont criticise if ur not prepared to teach it yourself
How can you say 1st and 2nd is better for that chord? Using 2nd and 3rd is far easier because it makes for an easier transition to G, E, A, C...etc....using 1st and 2nd is just complicated and will make transitions to those chords much harder for a beginner. I love your lessons but I disagree with this one.

E minor is supposed to be played with 2 and 3
becase E Major uses 1 on the first fret of the G string.

because it's not a positive contribution when you teach a way to do something that isnt a good way to do it
whatwoulditmatter 4 years ago 7
No no no. Use the second and third finger for Em. It makes it MUCH MUCH easier to change to many other chords. Search the web and see diagrams.
