So do you object to the word "Christ" being used, since it's Anglicized Greek? What about Messiah, since it's Anglicized Semitic? In your version of the Bible, I can only assume Jesus is referred to as "Jesus, the Anointed One".
ofcourse, it's so clear the way Jesus speaks is so plain...lol...he spoke in parables, not literally...why?..to keep the truth HIDDEN....there is no hell, this guy is sincere but very very mistaken!
Shoel, and Hades means the same thing. the reason they dont translate as hell, is because 3 different words with 3 different meanings were all translated as hell in the older english version. And has created a lot of confusion, and astablished a silly mythology along with it.
I am a Christian, and I don't believe in Hell, anyone who does is either misled or demented. The word sheol means death. you [Daniels] are a liar to tell people that Hell makes more sense than eternal death. You're an evil, inhuman propagandist. The Lord Jesus rebukes you for making his Father out to be worse than Hitler. Understand reader, Hell isnt missing from our bibles, IT WAS NEVER THERE! Sheol is human death, Hades is also, and Gehenna is a metaphor for consumption by fire of the wicked!
I don't believe in hell because its a man made pagan believe that the catholic church borrowed and snuck into christianity as a fear tool in order to control people. An all loving mercyful god would not allowed any of his children to be in torment for all of eternity. That would make him a cruel evil hypocritical god.
Yeah you believe in man made religions. Hell is eternal and real and why does everyone talk about God is love he is merciful, he is more angry than loving. You know your bible?
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Psalm 5:5
What does it say? He hates all people exept christians. Where is your loving false God you made with your own mind? Just read your bible ye unbeliever of little faith. Repent, believe!
You ask if I believe in hell and the answer is no. The reason I don't is because I understand Gods word. The reason you do is because you don't understand, can't follow a story and don't understand 1st century greek or Hebrew of old. You speak for the god in your head that has you fearing a punishment in hell so you better believe. My God doesent use fear tactics and my Gods mercy is forever while his anger and wrath is for a moment. Get a clue or destroy yourself and others that gfollow you.
A question for Christians: I have heard countless times that if someone takes the mark of the beast, then they will not enter the kingdom of Heaven, yet this man is quoting what Jesus said, which is that if your hand offends you, cut it off and you can enter the kingdom of Heaven...what if the mark you receive happens to be on your hand? Just a thought.
The Bible does not teach eternal punishment. God's love and mercy endures forever. Does it really endure forever or only in this life? How can it be Good News if it doesn't translate to the afterlife? God will still judge but He will not punish forever. Join in at whatthehellbook . com
1 Timothy 4:10- This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.
This guy doesn't make sense. He has the bearing of a clear thinking person, but delivers gibberish. First he says the word "hell" isn't in the Bible (and it wouldn't have been originally, as an English word) but that the word "Sheol" (which by his admission does not mean the same thing as "hell") is in the Bible. Fine. But then he complains that some versions of the Bible don't have "hell" in them. But why would they? Question: where would they have gotten "hell" from to begin with?
great point, but sadly Hell in the christian religion is very much like Hades in greek mythology, and many other ancient religions, the inventors of jesus and the Christian religion just hijacked a bunch of myths from other cultures. How silly of us to believe in a bronze age story. Personally I like Odin, the vikings had no hell, purely evil beings were imprisoned or destroyed, the generally good were never punished regardless of what they believed. Much nice god. Of course they are all myths
No problem! If you have the time, you can check out a debate I had with...well, I'm not sure this guy is a typical NOI member, but nonetheless, you can view the debate under the video title: Mr.B vs Sudan20009 (Nation of Islam) 1of4
BTW, my channel is visible now, since you're so bothered by it. Now, are you going to answer my questions, or do you need my social security number first? ;-)
1.Are the "trees" in Eden metaphoric? If so, what do they represent?
2.Why did Jesus write on the ground?
HINT: Keep in mind, it specifically states He wrote with his finger!
@branwhitcomb RE: the trees, The tree of life & the forbidden tree are possible exceptions, but the rest are effectively still growing today growing today.
"If your bible doesn't have a lot of hell in it, get a new one!" Great! While we're at it, I noticed that Paul doesn't mention hell as a place of fire and burning souls not ONCE in any of the 14 NT books he authored, even after stating he had "proclaimed the WHOLE will of God" in Acts 20:27 If your Apostle doesn't have a lot of hell in him, get a new one!
@branwhitcomb "your Apostle"? Hebrews3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,
consider the *Apostle and High Priest* of our profession, *Christ Jesus*;.
John14:6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Paul's ref to hell= llThes1v8&9
Many like selected parts of Paul's message & present it as if it were somehow a different gospel, even Paul says 1 Lord, 1 faith, 1spirit,1body. False teachers present 2churches.
@zacqt . "8He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power" Here's the verse you cited. No hell (eternal torture chamber) just "everlasting destruction", which is the Lake of Fire, and can't be the "hell" this video means since "death and hell were cast into the lake of fire." KJV Rev. 20:14
@branwhitcomb Rev20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the **lake of fire** and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be **tormented day and night for ever and ever**. - - 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the **lake of fire**.
Many in this generation try to downplay hell,- (who benefits??), don't be found or counted amongst them that corrupt The Word . There's ultimately either heaven or hell for ever and ever.
1.Is the Bible consistent in it's usage of phrases and terms?
2.In your quoted verses above, does "day and night forever and ever" mean "never ending, no matter what" or something else?
I am not downplaying "hell", but I won't "upplay" it just to scare people either, especially if the image of "hell" with which we have been presented is a myth. NO ONE who becomes a Christian only due to fear of "hell", or for the reward of Heaven, is a true Christian!
@branwhitcomb re;Q1 I believe the kjv is consistent but easily mistaken regarding context in several places if just read as a text book rather than spiritual instruction from The Alpha-Omega.
Q2. The scripture clearly implies that God knew you & i before the world began, so we being less than 100years old are about 7K-years old. Its worth considering time(24hr) is really for mans benefit only, for God 1K-years =1day or vicsa versa-time has no relevancy. Hence eternal heaven or hell. No halfway.
@zacqt re: Q1 Then please discern how scriptures such as Isaiah 34:9-10, Jeremiah 17:27, and Ezekiel 20:47-48 refer to things like "unquenchable fire" and "smoke rising forever" regarding things being DESTROYED with a fire that ceases after the destruction, but the same verbiage in Matthew 3:12, Mark 9:43-45, and Revelation 20:10 are supposedly discussing a never-ending fire existing for the purposes of TORTURE! What changed in the consistency of meaning from the Old Testament to the New?
@zacqt Please read Isaiah 34:10, and Ezekiel 20:47 in context. See that they are prophecies about judgements that have already come to pass, and the fire isn't still burning! The PUNISHMENT could not be stopped, but the FIRE ceased when the DESTRUCTION was complete! Jer. 17:27 regards an "unquenchable fire" to be used as a punishment for disobeying God's instruction about the Sabbath which would "consume" Jerusalem's fortresses. How can fire "consume" anything without DESTROYING it?
@zacqt re: Q2 You are in error: 1st, if the time frame you are espousing is correct, than God created everything in 6 days = 6,000 years, and everything that takes place after Eden happens over several thousand more years, then according to your understanding of "God's time" we should actually be over 10,000 years old. 2nd, you have misinterpreted Psalm 90:4 and 2Peter 3:8 which: 1.have nothing to do with Genesis, and 2.simply mean God may not come when YOU call HIM, but He's always on time!
@branwhitcomb llPeter3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that *one day* is with the Lord as a *thousand years*, and a *thousand years* as *one day*.
HEBREWS13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Again the point was/is Time has zero relevance to God, time & seasons are only relevant creation not The Creator.
It is my view that the spirit never dies, the second death(hell) is the final separation from God. Deut18v11...necromancer.(=speaking with the dead)
@zacqt brother in Christ, your errors are not different from many others, and are easily remedied if you keep 3 levels of context in mind: 1.Immediate Context (How it relates to the verses around it, and the theme of the book its in). 2.Temporal Context (How it relates to the time in which it was written and the author and audience of the book at that time). 3.Total context (How it relates to the whole Bible). If you violate these rules, the context is lost, and thus the true meaning with it.
@zacqt Let's consider the Immediate Context of the verse you cited: 2Peter Ch. 3; 1This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets...(like Ps 90:4) 3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers... saying, Where is the promise of his coming?" Now read 2Peter 3:8 It becomes obvious that Peter warns of impatience with the Lord.
@zacqt Now, let's consider the Temporal Context: Peter is writing to whom? In the 1st Epistle, we read: Ch. 1
1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,..." In the 2nd Epistle, Peter tells us in Ch.3:1 "This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you..." Both books were for the same audience, namely Gentiles in a specific area and time, but of course we are to learn from these letters as well!
@zacqt Now then, when we read further, 2Peter 3:9-10 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night..." It is now very clear that the "day" to which Peter referred in verse 3:8 is NOT one of the "creation days", and as he is citing Psalms 90:4 that verse is also NOT about the "days" in Genesis Ch.1
@zacqt At this point, with all 3 levels of context in mind, we must see that a day being equated with 1000 years in the Bible is not a formula for deciphering Creation construction schedules, and thus there is no support for the Earth's age being based on "days" Furthermore, did God rest for 1000 years on the 7th day, and then "get back to work"? The truth is we are in the 7th day NOW, as the Bible does not tell us of an "8th day"!
@zacqt So far, the "7th DAY" has lasted for over at least 10,000 years, as that is how long God has "rested" from any further "Creation." He put everything in it's place, and it all works without any micro-management. God has devoted His time from then on to concerning Himself with us, guiding people toward salvation, away from the evil and the destruction of HELL. You are right, the spirit which is in Christ never dies, but those not with Christ are to be destroyed.
@zacqt However, I am quite puzzled how you could EVER consider Deut. 18 to be regarding the 2nd death of Revelation. BTW, how is an everlasting life of torment, horrible as it may be, a "death" of any sort? None of the patriarchs, beginning with Adam are EVER told that sin would result in anything other than DEATH, (Gen. 2:17 & Rom 6:23) and the concept of some fire-filled torturous underworld isn't Biblical, it's Greek mythology! It is important, brother, that we don't subscribe to pagan myths.
@branwhitcomb If you believe in everlasting life you must also believe in everlasting fire. The word everlasting(Aionios) is common to both. If you reject the words of Christ you aren't a believer at all. You can't have everlasting mean whatever you like. If you reject hell & all that the word of God speaks of it, you are pagan. Only Satan & his servants would try to make hell seem like a reasonably nice alternative. The devil sought to undermine the word of Truth from the beginning. Get a kjv.
@zacqt If you believe in such "unquenchable fire" then you believe that Edom is on fire, RIGHT NOW! Why should I get a KJV (which I've been quoting this whole time) if now you need me to know the original Greek? Christ said in Mt 10:28 "fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." He said DESTROY, equating it with KILLING the soul! Do you reject THOSE words? Do you make them mean what YOU want?
@zacqt Also, I need you to cite the verses that require "you must believe in everlasting fire" of the type you are espousing, for us to have eternal life in Christ. Christ commanded us to love God with everything we are (Mt 22:37) to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mt 22:38) and to demonstrate such love as Christ showed his love for us (John 13:34). I love God, my neighbor, and my brothers in Christ, not for fear of Hell, but for love of the Word of God, Christ our Lord!
@zacqt "have it both ways"? You haven't shown the Bible ever means the PUNISHMENT is anything other than DESTRUCTION which is obviously EVERLASTING! You keep citing "everlasting" as if that was the issue while ignoring that Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel mentioned FIRES that consumed or destroyed with smoke rising "day and night, forever" and the fire is now out, and the smoke is GONE! Are YOU trying to have it both ways? I AM a CHRISTIAN! Are you saying if I disagree with you I'm going to hell?
@branwhitcomb The eternal judgement which is coming to us all whether blessing or cursing, is eternal or everlasting and that is The Lords judgement not any mans. Jesus says "everlasting punishment" but you say its only temporary punishment. You maintain that total annihilation of mind, body, spirit,(consciousness) happens after a given time?, but Jesus says everlasting punishment. How can something be everlasting but temporary also? how is that logical.
@zacqt On eternal judgement, consider this: Jesus said "everlasting punishment", which you espouse is "never-ending", and you seem to be saying anything short of that would be "temporary". Now, if a murderer is sent to prison for 100 Billion years, and lives that long, and is set free after serving his time, his sentence, though long, was temporary. But, if he was executed for his crime, the punishment was permanent, everlasting, for he will be eternally dead! Do you see the difference?
@zacqt I've given plenty of evidence for my case that "hell" is a place of "everlasting destruction" not "never-ending torture". If you disagree, fair enough, but we are servants of the Lord not officers! Comments such as "Who is your Lord?" implies that YOUR Lord is somehow better than "mine" as if they are 2 different Christs! Do you think your "faith" outranks my "human logic", as if that were the issue here? I have faith AND I use logic! The 2 are not mutually exclusive! Peace be with you!
@branwhitcomb The parable of Lazarus & the rich man Matthew16v19~31, is this just a story? or does it like all other parables speak of reality-/ past, present or future?.
No-one knows the exact measure of punishment each individual may receive but i'm sure it will be like as equal in opposite like blessings in glory. - That is "according to every mans works"(Rev22v12). It's easy to think (as a man) if some one is a fairly good person but unbelieving, that surely only a temporary hell is fair?.
@zacqt Good question! A parable, like an Aesop's fable, has a "moral of the story", a climax that makes known the point of the story and sums up the insight it offers. But 1st, consider the Lazarus/Rich Man story does not say the Rich Man was burning forever, eternally, in a never-ending fire. Now, consider the ending. Jesus is telling us even if He "rose from the dead" there are those who would ignore Him just like they ignored Moses and the Prophets. Again, context is very important!
@branwhitcomb how long would it take before the rich man got burnt enough?, how long had the rich man been in hell?. Is there a single scripture you know of that suggests hell is only spiritually temporary?.-Remember Jesus says its everlasting.
Mark9v45...be cast into hell, into the **fire that never shall be quenched:**
9v46 Where their worm **dieth not**, and the** fire is not quenched**.
How can you make these words of Jesus say temporary not perpetual or everlasting?.
@zacqt Perfect! Mark 9:48 “their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched" Jesus referred to Isaiah 66:22-24, the same Isaiah who said in Isa. 34 that Edom would be destroyed with unquenchable fire, and Edom was destroyed, and the fire was not quenched UNTIL the destruction was over!
BTW how do you interpret Mk 9:49 "Everyone will be salted with fire." Will YOU be salted with fire?
My channel? I have no videos! You want to watch my favorites? Okay, start with Zeitgeist Refuted! ;-)
@branwhitcomb Mark9v49"For every one shall be salted with fire,..." salt & fire both speak of purifying
Fire makes gold pure but does not destroy the gold.. Rev3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, ... .
Matt5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: (salt preserves & cleans.)
Re Isaiah66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men ... for *their worm* shall *not die*, neither shall *their fire* be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all
@zacqt Wow! 1st, again, are YOU going into the fire? He said "everyone", so how are you excluded? 2nd, if the "unquenchable fire" is meant to "purify", and not "torment" or "destroy", then show me a verse where "hell" is meant for the "purification" of the wicked! 3rd, are maggot ridden "carcases" ALIVE or DEAD? 4th, is Edom still on fire? 5th, Did the "Rich Man" act like he was being "purified"? 6th, does "death and the grave" (Rev 20:14) need to be "purified?"
@branwhitcomb If you knew Jesus & His word you would know there is The Refiners fire(Malachi ch3 or The burning bush before Moses or Acts2v3-do/did this fire destroy?) & **everlasting fire** of torment.
Mark9v49"For every one shall be salted with fire,... = or is like Matt5:13
Read the previous comment before you write more trash
What part do you not understand: *their worm* shall *not die*, neither shall *their fire* be quenched;
**THEIR** as in **their** spirit, not just a place on a map.
@zacqt If I knew Jesus? Write trash? Is this how a Christian behaves? I asked you questions, your response was to ignore them and be insulting. 1st, Mal 3:2 says the Lord will be "like" a refiner's fire, not that there is A refiner's fire! Is there soap in hell too? 2nd, is Edom, and the burning bush for that matter, still on fire? 3rd, in Acts 2:3 it says "appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire", so again this isn't about A FIRE, but what "appeared" to be "like" fire!
@zacqt What part do YOU not understand? "Their worm", as in the "carcases' worms" (maggots) feeding on the corpses! Do maggots have eternal life, or does this mean that the dead bodies of the enemies of the Lord will see decay and cremation, and NOTHING will stop this from happening? Why do assume that I think "THEIR" means "THERE"? What made you think that? Why have you become so insulting?
@branwhitcomb Isaiah40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as **eagles**; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Do Christians grow **wings like eagles**? or is it used metaphorically ... so to is **Their worm**-this speaks of the part of man(consciousness) that never dies. Mark9v46 Where **their worm** dieth not, and the** fire is not quenched**.
Have some courage show your channel why are you hiding?
@zacqt You are making my point for me! Where does the Bible say "worm = mind/consciousness"? Also, what is your formula for what is and is not metaphoric in the Bible? Let's start at the beginning: Are the trees in Eden metaphoric? Why or why not? Next, let's really evaluate your Biblical understanding potential. In John 8:1-11, why did Jesus write on the ground? If you can't answer something this simple then we don't even need to bother with the more intricate "hell" of Revelation.
@branwhitcomb i see you pull this stunt of diversion on others also like "mike1973ohio" only last week.
The amazing part is the secrete sin of the Pharisees in John8v1~11 is a bit like you hiding your channel -Psalm90:8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. +Jeremiah17v13...all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth,... . Your childish nonsense of sand or rock floor is just pathetic.
@zacqt LOL! So, are the trees in Eden metaphoric or not? While you're pondering that, I'll inform you that "secret sins" was NOT the point of Jesus writing on the ground. It's okay, your buddy Mike1973 couldn't answer it either, So much for your "know the lord" attitude, because if YOU knew the Lord, and His word, as you claimed you do while I supposedly don't, you'd know the answer! I even gave you a hint by mentioning "know the lord!" Good luck, try again! :-)
@zacqt The funny thing is, my request for you to discern the meaning of such things as "Why Jesus wrote on the ground" isn't a diversion, it's to determine if this dialogue is worthy of my time or not. However, your request to see my channel IS a pointless diversion! Pot, meet kettle. If you can't answer the question, you won't find the "cheat sheet" on my channel, so focus on answering the questions I pose, or just concede! :-) Have a nice day!
@branwhitcomb So you slip up & sent a comment with your other secrete channel then removed it before any one would notice LOL , so i'm looking forward to you telling me who this person is "MyzterB" hmmm, got any ideas of just who this lying coward is. Do yourself a favor & just be honest for once in your life.
I'v met full-on atheist on YouTube with much more integrity than you. No wonder your trying to talk your self into a temporary hell. Swallow your pride & get yourself right before God
@zacqt MyzterB is simply a channel I created for my debates with the Nation of Islam. They, and you, both know my name. Go friend me on facebook if you want. I'm Bran Whitcomb. While we're discussing "cowards" not being "real", is your birth name "zacqt?"
Back to work: Are the trees in Eden metaphoric? Why did Jesus write on the ground?
@branwhitcomb zac is the name of my dog, but my name is on my channel & icon, i still don't know why you hide your channels. Well credit where it due, you put your hand up so this part is refreshing at least. My comment was out of order-forgive me 4 this.
Regarding Jesus writing on the ground: its possible He may have been writing names & errors of some of the pharisees present who sort to challenge Christ. Also in stooping down to write on the ground He got along side of the accused woman.
@zacqt Thank you for giving your answer! I have sent you my answer on why Jesus wrote on the ground in your inbox. Although it is lengthy, I believe it is the complete and absolute true reason for Christ's actions. Let me know if you agree! As for the Tree of Knowledge, and the Tree of Life, they are indeed metaphoric! But, what do they represent? HINT: As the Bible is consistent in it's metaphoric imagery and meanings, consider other "trees" and "fruit" in the Bible! Ezekiel 31:1-9 Mt 12:22-33
@branwhitcomb before you ask any more questions (that are unrelated to this video), seeing i have answered all of yours, how about answering the question i asked you:
When Jesus uses the same word (αἰώνιος **aionios**) in Matthew25v46 , how can it mean 2 different things. **everlasting punishment** & **eternal life**.
If you believe or except Jesus words of eternal life you can't deny everlasting(eternal {aionios})punishment.
Please, no more distractions just answer my question thanks.
@zacqt I have no reason to ask any more DISCERNMENT questions, as I have gauged your responses and determined that this dialogue is still worth my effort. Although, your responses lack the understanding I have of the answers to those questions, your answers at least display the ability to discern the truth.
So, now I will continue answering your "everlasting" query which I asked you about earlier by inquiring: Is Edom still on fire? However, I shall give a more in depth analysis...
@zacqt Okay, fine, no diversions...YOU FIRST! You skipped a bunch of my questions a while back, which is why I paused the debate to determine who I'm dealing with! You don't seem to want to answer questions you skipped, but I am supposed to answer yours...after I already posed answers to this question earlier? So, here you go, here's your answer, and then expect to answer all my questions that you ignored earlier, okay? As I said before, it's everlasting punishMENT, not everlasting punishING!
@branwhitcomb Got to give you points for originality lol.
You say " it's everlasting punishMENT, not everlasting punishING!". So if a man gets thrown in jail for life for killing half a dozen people... he being in jail, punishMENT is only the first day in jail not the next 40years?.
Trouble is hell is everlasting(αἰώνιος **aionios**)punishMENT( κόλασις kolasis) not just a life time for natural man.
Open the channel comments section on your page & we could discuss this issue further there.
@zacqt Now now, that's not right! lol! Your "analogy" is just a straw man argument of the one I gave sometime back! 100 Billion years in jail would be temporary (in comparison to eternity), but 1 day in the electric chair would be an "everlasting punishment", as the punishment is permanent! This really isn't semantics, as otherwise the times olam/aionios are used in the Bible to mean FOREVER, and then "forever" ENDS, would lead to huge contradictions! But yes, we can continue this on my channel!
@zacqt Final answer to your question: from Elliot’s Commentary on the Whole Bible (Matt. 25:46(. Everlasting punishment--life eternal. The two adjectives represent the same Greek word, aionios—it must be admitted that the Greek word which is rendered "eternal" does not, in itself, involve endlessness, but rather, duration, whether through an age or succession of ages, and that it is therefore applied in the N.T. to periods of time that have had both a beginning and ending (Rom. 16:25).
@zacqt You have continually focused on "eternal", but that is the adjective, not the subject! However, since you want to discuss this word in depth, you must understand we are not the first to have this debate!
@zacqt Please examine your words: You said "No-one knows the exact measure of punishment.." and "no-one" would include you also. However, then you say, " but i'm sure it will be like..." So, which is it? No one knows, or YOU know, and are "sure" about it? Also, you ask about the "fairness" of a temporary hell. It's not our place to deem acts of God "fair". Either a never-ending torturous fire is meant by the text or it's not! The concept of hell, as you are seeing it, is Hades, a Greek myth!
@zacqt The effect of punishment is eternal, they will be dead forever. explain revelation which calls the lake of fire the second death? You're not dead if you burn forever. Sodom and Gommorah were burned with eternal fire, yet I ask you if they are still burning now?
@BibleCreationist The problem with suggesting a *temporary or short term hell* is it requires that one must know if the spirit can actually die & if there is such a thing as time in the spirit world.
"Sodom and Gommorah were burned with eternal fire ... still burning now?" Do all they that are cremated become alive on judgement day?. & where have they been? Rev20:12 And I saw the *dead*, small and great, stand before God;... .
I'm not sure if there is an "electric spiritual chair?" Many hope?.
@zacqt I would like to know where this spirit world of yours came from, I don't think it's Biblical. Can a spirit die? Rather than musing about these things look to God's word
As to the dead small and great, I think it refers to them once being dead.
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
@zacqt and by definition, not dead. Yes, they do. The eternal destruction of Sodom and Gommorah wasn't of the people in it, it was of the cities. The place where they were burnt is still there today, never rebuilt. "Electric spiritual chair"?! look up what DEATH means. They suffer the second DEATH, the soul that sins shall will DIE, the wages of sin is DEATH. Go to Christ, Read his word with an open mind and pray for his guidence.
@BibleCreationist Gen2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in *the day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt *surely die*.
Adams lived hundreds of years on earth after eating the forbidden fruit. The spiritual death that occurred was more like our English word divorce,or separation from God. Sodom & Gomorrha the cities didn't not sin at all, the people there of did.
Jude1v17... are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
@zacqt they lived because of the promise of Jesus' coming, and the sacrifice system that was set up. That is true, though the people were in the cities. They didn't suffer eternal desturction, but they died, not to rise until judjement day. Yes they are an example, an example that eternal fire doesn't burn forever.
@BibleCreationist Not only are you contradicting the words of Christ with your "new-age" view of a "temporary hell"(Jesus said *everlasting punishment*, not a few minutes of punishment then total annihilation of all spiritual consciousness). Again i would encourage you to find a single verse anywhere in scripture that supports your view that the spirit can be totally destroyed.
Was just wondering if you dismiss the parable Christ taught in Luke16v19~31(v24...for I am tormented in this flame.)
@zacqt i would like to correct you on one thing here if its ok, When God told them they would die if they ate the fruit he ment die period.before we ate the fruit we where to live forever, and when adam did die 900 so years latter this was what God told them bolth to came true.I think we all miss the fact, just becouse God does not say it will be a death right there and then makes people belive God was lying, becouse they did not die or it was a spirit death, this is not so.
@mystic81006 I agree Adam and Eve did eventual die just as God had warned them. True it did not happen at an instant. for if it did the human race would not be here. There was a purpose God is to fulfil And that is to bring humankind back to its original state. Adam,Eve died because of their transgression. Had they not took the forbidden fruit they would have lived forever. And Gods purpose would not have been interupted. Now he has to bring us back to our original state in his due time
@ZeusHelios Im not shure where my comment is,I looked,But yes this is true, adam and eve did die,if they did not eat the fruit they would have lived forever. People mistake this with a instant death all the time thinking ,they did not die,but they did,in there old adge.It is even writen latter on in there deaths that they died as the lord said they would.I think this is due to people not reading the sotry for them selfs and just hearing bits and pieces if it.
@mystic81006 It was a comment made to mystic81006 two months ago that I made a comment on. And I agree with you on the spiritual separation from God And Gods purpose to get us back to our original state
@zacqt True It was also a seperation. Also Remember a day to God is a thousand years. And Adam and Eve died on that day. That is Gods day. As Gods day is a thousand years. Adam died before he was a thousand years old. So the verse is correct when Gods says for in *the day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt *surely die*. So God spoke the truth.
@ZeusHelios Was the earth created in 6x24hrs or 6,000years?. Adam & Eve died on the very day(24hrs) that they ate the forbidden fruit,-the death was not immediately physically but was spiritually.-The spiritual death means "a broken union or separation from God". It seems to me the spirit of man can't or doesn't ever die/extinguish. See Gen3v22...take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:~24. Both Adam & Eve became aware of their "fallen spiritual state" on the day(24hr)>Gen3v5&7
@zacqt Be carfull on how you try to interpet things,as it says in scripture, that they did die on there day of death just as the lord said becouse they ate of the fruit.this is why it is important to include all of the story, even up to there deaths. Its a sad thing to see people try to say it was one thing, like a spiritual death when in fact it was not, even scripture proves this. Please dont try to twist scripure around to better fit you idea of Yaway.
@zacqt In scripture it states, the world was created in 6 days, then the lord rested on the 7,th,saterday he rested, the saboth,And this I also belive as scripture states it,the same scripture that introduces our lord. The earth is about 6,000 years old or a little older give or take,But no one knows for shure,no one. Not you or me or the guy next door, unless The lord came down and told some one.
@zacqt If the lord did not create the world in 6 days then I say this,
The lord is not a big deal and we should not follow him,But he did, becouse he is a big deal,he has so much power we will never understand,if we did understand all of it,we would be abouve God and then, we still would not serve him,But we do,becouse he is all perfect, all knowing and knows things we will never know, and this is what makes him so big and powerfull and mighty, praise our lord.
@mystic81006 yes i agree God is all powerful. The 6 *day* creation is correct, the same Hebrew word for "day" is used in both days of creation & the warning in Gen2v(2&)17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not
eat of it: for in the *day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
@zacqt eat of it: for in the *day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
It seems something is amiss here but its not,I also dont belive there death was a spirtul death. But I Could be wrong, All I know is If they would have not ate of it, they would haved not ever died, and this is where the confustion comes in for most people.
never ate of the fruit=would have never died
did eat the friut= did die and now we all die,and after we die our death is payment for that sin.
@mystic81006 Yes, and that is what Jesus came to restore - LIFE - notice that Jesus would have had to have gone to Hell after his death. If the KJV is accurate. Yet put the proper name in there and it makes sense, Jesus died, he went to Hades [Sheol, i.e the realm of the dead] and then by resurrecting brought with him the keys to death and Hades. I.e restoring the dead to life, for age-abiding life for the righteous and judgement for the wicked, who will return to dust in the lake of fire.
@reallycoolman2003 So you belive in changing truth to lies? this is all this is,lies,But what the lord said, was not a lie.You follow men,, follow only the true God.
@mystic81006 Well the greeks loved the idea of a soul that survives death [contrary to the hebrew concept of the body being the soul] however, however upon conversion to christianity how could they reconcile the destruction of the wicked, and death, as christianity had no afterlive per se, its all physical, a new heavens and earth, kingdom coming from heaven to earth, resurrection etc, so they twisted the scriptures to fit. look at the works of augustine and tertullian, its insane.
@mystic81006 hey dude, if you want to listen to nutjobs like this, who want to make up divisive false controversies to sell books then fine. But remember something, God is a righteous God, he will not be made a fool of. You want to make him out to be an eternal torturer then great. Suffer the consequences. You make eternal punishment into eternal torment. Then deny the resurrection, as for you it proves nothing. just that Jesus is God, it ignores his promises however, to bring life.
@reallycoolman2003 I follow no man, none,But only my true living God,and I will not follow you also.Just because I am posting on there video does not make me follow them.I don't deny the resurrection one bit,not one,I also don't deny the true words of our lord.Yashua is not God the father, and this is what you miss,I see you believe in what Paul wrote you follow men,I follow the true God who said to follow all of the commandments.you don't love gods commandments.
@mystic81006 If one man sins against another, God will mediate for him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who can intercede for him?” But they would not listen to the voice of their father, for the LORD desired to put them to DEATH. 1 Samuel 2:25
“But he who sins against me injures himself; All those who hate me love death.” Proverbs 8:36
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
@mystic81006 What is its point? Its God's promise of a physical resurrection at the end of the age. Thats why Paul lived in the hope of the resurrection. By your hell doctrine, Paul is in Heaven supping it up with Moses. Nope, they're dead, and they will be until the day of the resurrection. Tell me why Paul and Moses would want to leave Heaven to be resurrected on Earth? wouldn't the hope be in living in Heaven? but no he lives in hope of the resurrection, and a glorified body.
@reallycoolman2003 Yes,we all will be resurrected for judgment, its funny how you believe in some of scripture, but not the same book that scripture is in.Its not my hell doctrine,I only report what Yashua said and what Ya said. And this is all I need, nothing more.Paul was a lie,big time, like I said, you follow men,I don't,nothing you say here, none of it will get me saved,But only Yashua saves,he is the only one, good buy,you cant save me.
@zacqt This is what I do belive, that is the day they start the dying process,As in there bodys would start to die, it takes our bodys a long time to die, this is fact, did you know that as soon as we are born we start to die,it just takes a long time.
Is this waht the lord ment as eat of it: for in the *day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die? Could be,but I am not going to say I know 100 percent becouse no man does, not even you, nore me,only the lord knows.
@zacqt And this is what I ment by twisting scripture into things we just dont know,I can make 100 things and say this is what it means, I can add 100 diffrent scriptures to back up the 100 things also to prove them, this is what we call twisting scripture. Now, I read the scriptures to 100 percent literal, not one scipture backs another unless there is mention to it,like jesus referse to other scriptures. That one scripture can mean many many things, and this is why what you do is dangerouse
@zacqt It does not matter if you see DESTRUCTION as a "nice alternative" to being TORTURED FOREVER. The punishment for sin (turning from God's way) is what God sees fit to make it, not what we wish it should be! Either the "unquenchable fire" and "smoke rising forever" used against Edom is still burning and the smoke is still rising in Petra today, or it isn't' Since it isn't, we must recognize such "fire" and "smoke" as a punishment that can't be stopped, and not one that doesn't end!
Thanks for having the courage to share this. Many don't want to believe in hell, but if they truly read how Jesus described the place, and asked God to reveal His truth, they would see and understand. God will use your video to help some to turn to Jesus and escape from eternal destruction.

Jesus didn't die to save us from hell he literally coaxed man to kill him until they did , forcing man through coercion to commit the ultimate sin against him . Man has been struck down by Gods hatred and wrath long before Jesus and still long after Jesus... even by floods . Hell is alive and well in Bibles the word hell is irrelevant .
THANKYOU VERY MUCH,YOU GATTA SEE THE PEOPLE ON HERE THAT DONT BELIVE MY BIBLE SAYS HELL IS A REAL PLACE HERE IS SOME VERSES THAT SAY IT IS,MATH 13:42,25:41,LUKE:22-28,ISA14:9,REV9:2,EVEN THE LOCATION OF HELL,NUMBERS16:32-33 THE BIBLE IS CLEAR,EPH4:9,REV12:3 ISAIAH66:22-24 IVE GOT A WHOLE BUNCH MORE,LIKE HOW BLIND ARE YOU PEOPLE?OR YOU JUST AINT GUNNA BITE?WELL ETERNITY BELIVES AND WILL BITE YOU,WHAT DO YOU NEED???
Actually I don't believe in hell because 1) it doesn't exist and 2) if I follow your silly narrative about why hell exists and why an all loving, omnipotent, omnipresent god would put us in this place of contradictory idiocy it sickens me. You have to ask yourself, what is hell? Would you ever put someone there?" What crime could be committed against you that would justify making someone suffer forever? And all the while you could pardon them on a whim. Think about it!
LOL, And "HELL" isnt an English word you choose to believe in? Sheol and Hades came long before the Norse/Germanic origin word of hell. So youre choosing to believe in this... and I dont see you cutting your limbs off...
You can try and take hell out of the Bible but Jesus talked more about hell than heaven for a very good reason. It seems like most are taking the broad road when you take an honest look around the world.
jesus or yashua did not talk about hell more than heaven that is non sense. and no one is saying it isn't real. what i am saying is that it is not what modern people perceive it to be, because they don't understand the original languages the bible was written in!
there is so much we don't know. we do know that Christ talked about Father God and Love more than anything...there for he spoke of heaven more. to speak of The Father is to speak of heaven. and we don't know most of what he said or did, or told his closest followers in private! remember he lived a real life and talked everyday. we only have what is written in a book, which isn't even one third of what he said or did!
Yes okay, this is one of those situations that we are both "right", right? Wrong. I know exactly what you are talking about. Sheol is hell and " קבורה / qĕbuwrah / keb-oo-raw' " is the grave. but this all depends on if u want to hear the truth.U C, there are certain "Rabbis" that dont want to accept that there is a hell, some, even deny that God(or Ha' Shem)created the earth but believe in evolution and the big bang theory. However I also have Jewish friends&
family members how have converted to Judaism, studied and speak w/Messianic Jewish Rabbis/Doctors that know that Sheol is hell, I could tell you some Jewish Rabbis and teachers that tell the Truth if you'd like, or if you want to believe a lie and are comfortable w/that, then just simply do not research and remain ignorant.
No offense though, I dont want to sound like im insulting you or anyone, but they are great Jewish scholars that are prolific writers, such as Alfred Edersheim, Dr. Mitch Glaser, Joel C. Rosenberg, Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer, Dr. Michael Rydelnik, Dr. Charles Dyer, Darrell L. Bock etc. Shalom, &God Bless while you search for the Truth daily to see if these things are so, (acts 17:11).
Do think it's okay for translators to intentionally change the proper noun Gehenna into hell? Isn't that deception? The name of a literal place like Jerusalem, New York, the Jordan River should be transliterated, NOT translated, in fact,"hell" is not a translation, it's a REPLACEMENT. Gehenna is real, hell is not and no, Gehenna is not your mythical hell.
sheol literally means "the grave" you should study hebrew more! hell was actually a valley outside jerusalem where they would bury all the trash and refuse and gentile corpses and dowse the entire valley floor with oil and set it on fire which is where we get the lake of fire imagery! the valley was also called gehenna! hades is a greco-roman understanding of the land of the dead! having said all that i still believe there is a hell and no human understands it yet! you need education sir!
the Hebrew word for grave is" קבורה = qĕbuwrah= keb-oo-raw'" and this is the actual word that means burial spot, tomb, grave site etc.
When speaking of the "grave" meaning the afterlife (hence the term afterLIFE), AND SPEAKING OF A DIFFERENT REALM other than this earthly physical one inwhich we live in now, the word " שאול = shĕ'owl= sheh-ole = or sheol" is used. The word always entails the underworld Sheol - the OT designation for the abode of the
not according to the rabbais that i have spoken with. most of them still won't say there is an after life for that very reason. sheol is not in the jewish mind an after life place. it is literally the grave or the state of death. now you can argue with the rabbais if you wish, but i won't. it is their language, culture, and religion so we will just have to disagree about your linguistic translations!
@reverendloush the underworld Sheol - the OT designation for the abode of the dead place of no return without praise of God wicked sent there for punishment righteous not abandoned to it of the place of exile (fig) of extreme degradation in sin
they are two different meanings for these HEB words but just could be translated to mean the same, however they do not have the same meaning all the time. Its like to word love; in HEB there are
many HEBREW (and Greek as well) words that all translate into love in english but dont have the exact same meaning the would if you were to say them in HEB.
@MrFundieKiller Even if Anthony Weldon wasn't the man who wrote the claims about King James, there was papers claiming that "King James was a homosexual". FYI, King James as married to a woman named "Anne of Denmark" which indeed bore 3 children which one of them became future King of England (Charles I of England).
@MrFundieKiller King James was never a homosexual. A man named "Anthony Weldon" who hated King James, claim that King James was a homosexual by writing papers (This is started 25 years after The death of King James).
{4:3} For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; {4:4} And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
yup this has happened long ago first with the roman church than with the modern fundamentalist evangelicals who rewrite scripture and history to fit their own ideas and prejudices!
Did Adam and eve go to hell ? They sold us into sin, and intentionally defied God, yet God told them that they would return "to the dust" NOT burn in HELL .
"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
Clearly the manuscripts that caused this hellish division are to be questioned.
... and what of those who died preaching the KJV? If it be wrong?
Sheol or "hades" is the abode of the dead, it is where all dead go, it is inside the earth, the lower part is where the unsaved go, the upper part is paradise where Jesus took the thief and spent 3 days, he then was resurrected ,and took some saints with him, they were resurrected as well, all that are saved go to paradise or the upper part of hades also known as Abraham's bosom when they die,
@whittle4u they are side by side with a giant gulf in between them.READ the rich man & Lazarus in the Gospel.and the sinners nd righteous can speak nd talk to one another by hollering across it.STUDY THE APOCRYPHA (means "hidden things" in Greek) in The Book of JOSEPHUS fills in the holes.Sheol is hebrew/Hades is Greek/Hell is English-different terms for the same place.shalom
when Christ comes again we will be resurrected and meet him in the air, reign with him 1000 years, and then all unsaved, death & hades will be thrown into the lake of fire which is hell where Satan, the beast, & the false prophet will already be.
Wrong..KJV is wrong here. That is why they tried to fix it
Sheol was the place that Jesus went to preach to sinners. It was never Hell. It will go into Hell though.
Hades is what this world will become. It is what this universe will become. It will go into Hell though.
Hell does not exist today. It comes after the final judgement. Sheol and Hades will go into Hell. Sorry guys it is true this earth/universe and sheol will fall into hell after the judgement. even after 1000 years of peace.
or r NOT found in the book of life and thrown into hell ALONG with hades. Revelations 20: 11-15. READ! or even better read from the beggining of chapter 20, breaks down everything. now the old hebrew word for hell is`gehenna. gehenna basically means``valley of fire`` etc. when translated into english is hell. the confusion STARTED with king james and the protestant movement because the translators did not know how to differentiate between sheol and gehenna so they translated BOTH as hell.
Wow, the logic here is incredible, why don't you be fair and tell the truth? Other Bible's do talk about hell.
BrianSDare 3 days ago
So do you object to the word "Christ" being used, since it's Anglicized Greek? What about Messiah, since it's Anglicized Semitic? In your version of the Bible, I can only assume Jesus is referred to as "Jesus, the Anointed One".
trilobright 1 week ago
ofcourse, it's so clear the way Jesus speaks is so plain...lol...he spoke in parables, not literally...why?..to keep the truth HIDDEN....there is no hell, this guy is sincere but very very mistaken!

1matsg 2 months ago
@1matsg '' I don't believe in hell ''
Repent, believe!
coolboysoldier1 2 months ago

Join in at whatthehellbook . com

Question: even IF the Bible did say that God will torture some people for ever and ever, why can we not say the Bible is wrong in that respect?
roxykattx 6 months ago
This guy doesn't make sense. He has the bearing of a clear thinking person, but delivers gibberish. First he says the word "hell" isn't in the Bible (and it wouldn't have been originally, as an English word) but that the word "Sheol" (which by his admission does not mean the same thing as "hell") is in the Bible. Fine. But then he complains that some versions of the Bible don't have "hell" in them. But why would they? Question: where would they have gotten "hell" from to begin with?
roxykattx 6 months ago
great point, but sadly Hell in the christian religion is very much like Hades in greek mythology, and many other ancient religions, the inventors of jesus and the Christian religion just hijacked a bunch of myths from other cultures. How silly of us to believe in a bronze age story. Personally I like Odin, the vikings had no hell, purely evil beings were imprisoned or destroyed, the generally good were never punished regardless of what they believed. Much nice god. Of course they are all myths

1.Are the "trees" in Eden metaphoric? If so, what do they represent?
2.Why did Jesus write on the ground?
HINT: Keep in mind, it specifically states He wrote with his finger!

"If your bible doesn't have a lot of hell in it, get a new one!" Great! While we're at it, I noticed that Paul doesn't mention hell as a place of fire and burning souls not ONCE in any of the 14 NT books he authored, even after stating he had "proclaimed the WHOLE will of God" in Acts 20:27 If your Apostle doesn't have a lot of hell in him, get a new one!
branwhitcomb 7 months ago
False teachers present 2churches.
zacqt 6 months ago
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb Rev20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the **lake of fire** and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be **tormented day and night for ever and ever**. - - 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the **lake of fire**.
Many in this generation try to downplay hell,- (who benefits??), don't be found or counted amongst them that corrupt The Word . There's ultimately either heaven or hell for ever and ever.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt Okay, let me ask some questions:
1.Is the Bible consistent in it's usage of phrases and terms?
2.In your quoted verses above, does "day and night forever and ever" mean "never ending, no matter what" or something else?
I am not downplaying "hell", but I won't "upplay" it just to scare people either, especially if the image of "hell" with which we have been presented is a myth. NO ONE who becomes a Christian only due to fear of "hell", or for the reward of Heaven, is a true Christian!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb re;Q1 I believe the kjv is consistent but easily mistaken regarding context in several places if just read as a text book rather than spiritual instruction from The Alpha-Omega.
Q2. The scripture clearly implies that God knew you & i before the world began, so we being less than 100years old are about 7K-years old. Its worth considering time(24hr) is really for mans benefit only, for God 1K-years =1day or vicsa versa-time has no relevancy. Hence eternal heaven or hell. No halfway.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt re: Q1 Then please discern how scriptures such as Isaiah 34:9-10, Jeremiah 17:27, and Ezekiel 20:47-48 refer to things like "unquenchable fire" and "smoke rising forever" regarding things being DESTROYED with a fire that ceases after the destruction, but the same verbiage in Matthew 3:12, Mark 9:43-45, and Revelation 20:10 are supposedly discussing a never-ending fire existing for the purposes of TORTURE! What changed in the consistency of meaning from the Old Testament to the New?
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@branwhitcomb Isaiah34:10 It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever:...
Jeremiah 17:27...and it shall not be quenched. Ezekiel 20:47...the flaming flame shall not be quenched,...-48 ...it shall not be quenched.
These OT scriptures all say the same & point to the same fate = eternal judgement.
I'm not sure what bible version you read from, but always good to check what ever your reading with a kjv, i have found the kjv to be very consistent.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt Please read Isaiah 34:10, and Ezekiel 20:47 in context. See that they are prophecies about judgements that have already come to pass, and the fire isn't still burning! The PUNISHMENT could not be stopped, but the FIRE ceased when the DESTRUCTION was complete! Jer. 17:27 regards an "unquenchable fire" to be used as a punishment for disobeying God's instruction about the Sabbath which would "consume" Jerusalem's fortresses. How can fire "consume" anything without DESTROYING it?
branwhitcomb 6 months ago

Deut18v11...necromancer.(=speaking with the dead)
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt brother in Christ, your errors are not different from many others, and are easily remedied if you keep 3 levels of context in mind: 1.Immediate Context (How it relates to the verses around it, and the theme of the book its in). 2.Temporal Context (How it relates to the time in which it was written and the author and audience of the book at that time). 3.Total context (How it relates to the whole Bible). If you violate these rules, the context is lost, and thus the true meaning with it.
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt Let's consider the Immediate Context of the verse you cited: 2Peter Ch. 3; 1This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets...(like Ps 90:4) 3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers... saying, Where is the promise of his coming?" Now read 2Peter 3:8 It becomes obvious that Peter warns of impatience with the Lord.
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt Now, let's consider the Temporal Context: Peter is writing to whom? In the 1st Epistle, we read: Ch. 1
1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,..." In the 2nd Epistle, Peter tells us in Ch.3:1 "This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you..." Both books were for the same audience, namely Gentiles in a specific area and time, but of course we are to learn from these letters as well!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@zacqt Now then, when we read further, 2Peter 3:9-10 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night..." It is now very clear that the "day" to which Peter referred in verse 3:8 is NOT one of the "creation days", and as he is citing Psalms 90:4 that verse is also NOT about the "days" in Genesis Ch.1
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt At this point, with all 3 levels of context in mind, we must see that a day being equated with 1000 years in the Bible is not a formula for deciphering Creation construction schedules, and thus there is no support for the Earth's age being based on "days" Furthermore, did God rest for 1000 years on the 7th day, and then "get back to work"? The truth is we are in the 7th day NOW, as the Bible does not tell us of an "8th day"!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt So far, the "7th DAY" has lasted for over at least 10,000 years, as that is how long God has "rested" from any further "Creation." He put everything in it's place, and it all works without any micro-management. God has devoted His time from then on to concerning Himself with us, guiding people toward salvation, away from the evil and the destruction of HELL. You are right, the spirit which is in Christ never dies, but those not with Christ are to be destroyed.
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt However, I am quite puzzled how you could EVER consider Deut. 18 to be regarding the 2nd death of Revelation. BTW, how is an everlasting life of torment, horrible as it may be, a "death" of any sort? None of the patriarchs, beginning with Adam are EVER told that sin would result in anything other than DEATH, (Gen. 2:17 & Rom 6:23) and the concept of some fire-filled torturous underworld isn't Biblical, it's Greek mythology! It is important, brother, that we don't subscribe to pagan myths.
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb If you believe in everlasting life you must also believe in everlasting fire. The word everlasting(Aionios) is common to both. If you reject the words of Christ you aren't a believer at all. You can't have everlasting mean whatever you like. If you reject hell & all that the word of God speaks of it, you are pagan. Only Satan & his servants would try to make hell seem like a reasonably nice alternative. The devil sought to undermine the word of Truth from the beginning. Get a kjv.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt If you believe in such "unquenchable fire" then you believe that Edom is on fire, RIGHT NOW! Why should I get a KJV (which I've been quoting this whole time) if now you need me to know the original Greek? Christ said in Mt 10:28 "fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." He said DESTROY, equating it with KILLING the soul! Do you reject THOSE words? Do you make them mean what YOU want?
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt Also, I need you to cite the verses that require "you must believe in everlasting fire" of the type you are espousing, for us to have eternal life in Christ. Christ commanded us to love God with everything we are (Mt 22:37) to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mt 22:38) and to demonstrate such love as Christ showed his love for us (John 13:34). I love God, my neighbor, and my brothers in Christ, not for fear of Hell, but for love of the Word of God, Christ our Lord!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into **everlasting** punishment: but the righteous into life **eternal.**
Both these words marked above are the same Greek word: αἰώνιος **aionios** /ahee·o·nee·os/
You cant have it both ways, if you except Christ's word of eternal life you must also except Christ's word of everlasting punishment.
Up to you, hear the warning from Jesus Christ(His own words) or reject it & embrace the doctrines of human logic. Who is your Lord, Christ or man?.
zacqt 6 months ago 8
@zacqt "have it both ways"? You haven't shown the Bible ever means the PUNISHMENT is anything other than DESTRUCTION which is obviously EVERLASTING! You keep citing "everlasting" as if that was the issue while ignoring that Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel mentioned FIRES that consumed or destroyed with smoke rising "day and night, forever" and the fire is now out, and the smoke is GONE! Are YOU trying to have it both ways? I AM a CHRISTIAN! Are you saying if I disagree with you I'm going to hell?
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb The eternal judgement which is coming to us all whether blessing or cursing, is eternal or everlasting and that is The Lords judgement not any mans. Jesus says "everlasting punishment" but you say its only temporary punishment. You maintain that total annihilation of mind, body, spirit,(consciousness) happens after a given time?, but Jesus says everlasting punishment. How can something be everlasting but temporary also? how is that logical.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt On eternal judgement, consider this: Jesus said "everlasting punishment", which you espouse is "never-ending", and you seem to be saying anything short of that would be "temporary". Now, if a murderer is sent to prison for 100 Billion years, and lives that long, and is set free after serving his time, his sentence, though long, was temporary. But, if he was executed for his crime, the punishment was permanent, everlasting, for he will be eternally dead! Do you see the difference?
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb A word play does not change the facts, what does Mark9v46 mean to you?
Mark9v45...be cast into hell, into the **fire that never shall be quenched:**
9v46 Where their worm **dieth not**, and the** fire is not quenched**.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt I've given plenty of evidence for my case that "hell" is a place of "everlasting destruction" not "never-ending torture". If you disagree, fair enough, but we are servants of the Lord not officers! Comments such as "Who is your Lord?" implies that YOUR Lord is somehow better than "mine" as if they are 2 different Christs! Do you think your "faith" outranks my "human logic", as if that were the issue here? I have faith AND I use logic! The 2 are not mutually exclusive! Peace be with you!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb The parable of Lazarus & the rich man Matthew16v19~31, is this just a story? or does it like all other parables speak of reality-/ past, present or future?.
No-one knows the exact measure of punishment each individual may receive but i'm sure it will be like as equal in opposite like blessings in glory. - That is "according to every mans works"(Rev22v12). It's easy to think (as a man) if some one is a fairly good person but unbelieving, that surely only a temporary hell is fair?.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt Good question! A parable, like an Aesop's fable, has a "moral of the story", a climax that makes known the point of the story and sums up the insight it offers. But 1st, consider the Lazarus/Rich Man story does not say the Rich Man was burning forever, eternally, in a never-ending fire. Now, consider the ending. Jesus is telling us even if He "rose from the dead" there are those who would ignore Him just like they ignored Moses and the Prophets. Again, context is very important!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb how long would it take before the rich man got burnt enough?, how long had the rich man been in hell?. Is there a single scripture you know of that suggests hell is only spiritually temporary?.-Remember Jesus says its everlasting.
Mark9v45...be cast into hell, into the **fire that never shall be quenched:**
9v46 Where their worm **dieth not**, and the** fire is not quenched**.
How can you make these words of Jesus say temporary not perpetual or everlasting?.
u hide your channel?
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt Perfect! Mark 9:48 “their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched" Jesus referred to Isaiah 66:22-24, the same Isaiah who said in Isa. 34 that Edom would be destroyed with unquenchable fire, and Edom was destroyed, and the fire was not quenched UNTIL the destruction was over!
BTW how do you interpret Mk 9:49 "Everyone will be salted with fire." Will YOU be salted with fire?
My channel? I have no videos! You want to watch my favorites? Okay, start with Zeitgeist Refuted! ;-)
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb Mark9v49"For every one shall be salted with fire,..." salt & fire both speak of purifying
Fire makes gold pure but does not destroy the gold.. Rev3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, ... .
Matt5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: (salt preserves & cleans.)
Re Isaiah66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men ... for *their worm* shall *not die*, neither shall *their fire* be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all
flesh.
zacqt 6 months ago
6th, does "death and the grave" (Rev 20:14) need to be "purified?"
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb If you knew Jesus & His word you would know there is The Refiners fire(Malachi ch3 or The burning bush before Moses or Acts2v3-do/did this fire destroy?) & **everlasting fire** of torment.
Mark9v49"For every one shall be salted with fire,... = or is like Matt5:13
Read the previous comment before you write more trash
What part do you not understand: *their worm* shall *not die*, neither shall *their fire* be quenched;
**THEIR** as in **their** spirit, not just a place on a map.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt If I knew Jesus? Write trash? Is this how a Christian behaves? I asked you questions, your response was to ignore them and be insulting. 1st, Mal 3:2 says the Lord will be "like" a refiner's fire, not that there is A refiner's fire! Is there soap in hell too? 2nd, is Edom, and the burning bush for that matter, still on fire? 3rd, in Acts 2:3 it says "appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire", so again this isn't about A FIRE, but what "appeared" to be "like" fire!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt What part do YOU not understand? "Their worm", as in the "carcases' worms" (maggots) feeding on the corpses! Do maggots have eternal life, or does this mean that the dead bodies of the enemies of the Lord will see decay and cremation, and NOTHING will stop this from happening? Why do assume that I think "THEIR" means "THERE"? What made you think that? Why have you become so insulting?
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb Isaiah40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as **eagles**; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Do Christians grow **wings like eagles**? or is it used metaphorically ... so to is **Their worm**-this speaks of the part of man(consciousness) that never dies. Mark9v46 Where **their worm** dieth not, and the** fire is not quenched**.
Have some courage show your channel why are you hiding?
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt You are making my point for me! Where does the Bible say "worm = mind/consciousness"? Also, what is your formula for what is and is not metaphoric in the Bible? Let's start at the beginning: Are the trees in Eden metaphoric? Why or why not? Next, let's really evaluate your Biblical understanding potential. In John 8:1-11, why did Jesus write on the ground? If you can't answer something this simple then we don't even need to bother with the more intricate "hell" of Revelation.
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb i see you pull this stunt of diversion on others also like "mike1973ohio" only last week.
The amazing part is the secrete sin of the Pharisees in John8v1~11 is a bit like you hiding your channel -Psalm90:8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. +Jeremiah17v13...all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth,... . :-)
branwhitcomb 6 months ago

Why did Jesus write on the ground?
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb zac is the name of my dog, but my name is on my channel & icon, i still don't know why you hide your channels. Well credit where it due, you put your hand up so this part is refreshing at least. My comment was out of order-forgive me 4 this.
Regarding Jesus writing on the ground: its possible He may have been writing names & errors of some of the pharisees present who sort to challenge Christ. Also in stooping down to write on the ground He got along side of the accused woman.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt Thank you for giving your answer! I have sent you my answer on why Jesus wrote on the ground in your inbox. Although it is lengthy, I believe it is the complete and absolute true reason for Christ's actions. Let me know if you agree! As for the Tree of Knowledge, and the Tree of Life, they are indeed metaphoric! But, what do they represent? HINT: As the Bible is consistent in it's metaphoric imagery and meanings, consider other "trees" and "fruit" in the Bible! Ezekiel 31:1-9 Mt 12:22-33
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb before you ask any more questions (that are unrelated to this video), seeing i have answered all of yours, how about answering the question i asked you:
When Jesus uses the same word (αἰώνιος **aionios**) in Matthew25v46 , how can it mean 2 different things. **everlasting punishment** & **eternal life**.
If you believe or except Jesus words of eternal life you can't deny everlasting(eternal {aionios})punishment.
Please, no more distractions just answer my question thanks.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt I have no reason to ask any more DISCERNMENT questions, as I have gauged your responses and determined that this dialogue is still worth my effort. Although, your responses lack the understanding I have of the answers to those questions, your answers at least display the ability to discern the truth.
So, now I will continue answering your "everlasting" query which I asked you about earlier by inquiring: Is Edom still on fire? However, I shall give a more in depth analysis...
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb NO, No, no, don't go side ways again, just answer the question thanks. Diversion is your specialty.
Please just tell me why Jesus uses the same word in Matthew25v46(αἰώνιος **aionios**) for both
Everlasting punishment for unbelievers or eternal life for believers. I have noticed you go sideways when ever your asked this question.
***Stick to this 1 verse*** Matthew25:46 And these shall go away into *everlasting* punishment: but the
righteous into life *eternal*.
No diversions.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt Okay, fine, no diversions...YOU FIRST! You skipped a bunch of my questions a while back, which is why I paused the debate to determine who I'm dealing with! You don't seem to want to answer questions you skipped, but I am supposed to answer yours...after I already posed answers to this question earlier? So, here you go, here's your answer, and then expect to answer all my questions that you ignored earlier, okay? As I said before, it's everlasting punishMENT, not everlasting punishING!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@branwhitcomb Got to give you points for originality lol.
You say " it's everlasting punishMENT, not everlasting punishING!". So if a man gets thrown in jail for life for killing half a dozen people... he being in jail, punishMENT is only the first day in jail not the next 40years?.
Trouble is hell is everlasting(αἰώνιος **aionios**)punishMENT( κόλασις kolasis) not just a life time for natural man.
Open the channel comments section on your page & we could discuss this issue further there.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt Now now, that's not right! lol! Your "analogy" is just a straw man argument of the one I gave sometime back! 100 Billion years in jail would be temporary (in comparison to eternity), but 1 day in the electric chair would be an "everlasting punishment", as the punishment is permanent! This really isn't semantics, as otherwise the times olam/aionios are used in the Bible to mean FOREVER, and then "forever" ENDS, would lead to huge contradictions! But yes, we can continue this on my channel!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt Final answer to your question: from Elliot’s Commentary on the Whole Bible (Matt. 25:46(. Everlasting punishment--life eternal. The two adjectives represent the same Greek word, aionios—it must be admitted that the Greek word which is rendered "eternal" does not, in itself, involve endlessness, but rather, duration, whether through an age or succession of ages, and that it is therefore applied in the N.T. to periods of time that have had both a beginning and ending (Rom. 16:25).
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt You have continually focused on "eternal", but that is the adjective, not the subject! However, since you want to discuss this word in depth, you must understand we are not the first to have this debate!
Consider the following:
bible-truths-dot-com/aeonion
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@zacqt Please examine your words: You said "No-one knows the exact measure of punishment.." and "no-one" would include you also. The concept of hell, as you are seeing it, is Hades, a Greek myth!
branwhitcomb 6 months ago
@zacqt The effect of punishment is eternal, they will be dead forever. explain revelation which calls the lake of fire the second death? You're not dead if you burn forever. Sodom and Gommorah were burned with eternal fire, yet I ask you if they are still burning now?
BibleCreationist 6 months ago
@BibleCreationist The problem with suggesting a *temporary or short term hell* is it requires that one must know if the spirit can actually die & if there is such a thing as time in the spirit world.
"Sodom and Gommorah were burned with eternal fire ... still burning now?" Do all they that are cremated become alive on judgement day?. & where have they been? Rev20:12 And I saw the *dead*, small and great, stand before God;... .
I'm not sure if there is an "electric spiritual chair?" Many hope?.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt I would like to know where this spirit world of yours came from, I don't think it's Biblical. Can a spirit die? Rather than musing about these things look to God's word
Eze 18:20 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die."
As to the dead small and great, I think it refers to them once being dead.
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
this shows that they are ressurected,
BibleCreationist 6 months ago
@zacqt and by definition, not dead. Yes, they do. The eternal destruction of Sodom and Gommorah wasn't of the people in it, it was of the cities. The place where they were burnt is still there today, never rebuilt. "Electric spiritual chair"?! look up what DEATH means. They suffer the second DEATH, the soul that sins shall will DIE, the wages of sin is DEATH. Go to Christ, Read his word with an open mind and pray for his guidence.
BibleCreationist 6 months ago
@BibleCreationist Gen2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in *the day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt *surely die*.
Adams lived hundreds of years on earth after eating the forbidden fruit. The spiritual death that occurred was more like our English word divorce,or separation from God. Sodom & Gomorrha the cities didn't not sin at all, the people there of did.
Jude1v17... are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
zacqt 6 months ago
@zacqt they lived because of the promise of Jesus' coming, and the sacrifice system that was set up. That is true, though the people were in the cities. They didn't suffer eternal desturction, but they died, not to rise until judjement day. Yes they are an example, an example that eternal fire doesn't burn forever.
BibleCreationist 6 months ago
@BibleCreationist Not only are you contradicting the words of Christ with your "new-age" view of a "temporary hell"(Jesus said *everlasting punishment*, not a few minutes of punishment then total annihilation of all spiritual consciousness). Again i would encourage you to find a single verse anywhere in scripture that supports your view that the spirit can be totally destroyed.
Was just wondering if you dismiss the parable Christ taught in Luke16v19~31(v24...for I am tormented in this flame.)
zacqt 6 months ago

Now he has to bring us back to our original state in his due time
ZeusHelios 3 months ago
@ZeusHelios Im not shure where my comment is,I looked,But yes this is true, adam and eve did die,if they did not eat the fruit they would have lived forever. People mistake this with a instant death all the time thinking ,they did not die,but they did,in there old adge.It is even writen latter on in there deaths that they died as the lord said they would.I think this is due to people not reading the sotry for them selfs and just hearing bits and pieces if it.
mystic81006 3 months ago
@mystic81006 It was a comment made to mystic81006 two months ago that I made a comment on. And I agree with you on the spiritual separation from God And Gods purpose to get us back to our original state
ZeusHelios 3 months ago
@zacqt True It was also a seperation. Also Remember a day to God is a thousand years. And Adam and Eve died on that day. That is Gods day. As Gods day is a thousand years. Adam died before he was a thousand years old. So the verse is correct when Gods says for in *the day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt *surely die*. So God spoke the truth.
ZeusHelios 3 months ago
@ZeusHelios Was the earth created in 6x24hrs or 6,000years?. Adam & Eve died on the very day(24hrs) that they ate the forbidden fruit,-the death was not immediately physically but was spiritually.-The spiritual death means "a broken union or separation from God". It seems to me the spirit of man can't or doesn't ever die/extinguish. See Gen3v22...take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:~24. Both Adam & Eve became aware of their "fallen spiritual state" on the day(24hr)>Gen3v5&7
zacqt 3 months ago
@zacqt Be carfull on how you try to interpet things,as it says in scripture, that they did die on there day of death just as the lord said becouse they ate of the fruit.this is why it is important to include all of the story, even up to there deaths. Its a sad thing to see people try to say it was one thing, like a spiritual death when in fact it was not, even scripture proves this. Please dont try to twist scripure around to better fit you idea of Yaway.
mystic81006 3 months ago
@mystic81006 Was the earth created in 6x24hrs or 6,000years?
zacqt 3 months ago
@zacqt In scripture it states, the world was created in 6 days, then the lord rested on the 7,th,saterday he rested, the saboth,And this I also belive as scripture states it,the same scripture that introduces our lord. The earth is about 6,000 years old or a little older give or take,But no one knows for shure,no one. Not you or me or the guy next door, unless The lord came down and told some one.
mystic81006 3 months ago
@zacqt If the lord did not create the world in 6 days then I say this,
The lord is not a big deal and we should not follow him,But he did, becouse he is a big deal,he has so much power we will never understand,if we did understand all of it,we would be abouve God and then, we still would not serve him,But we do,becouse he is all perfect, all knowing and knows things we will never know, and this is what makes him so big and powerfull and mighty, praise our lord.
mystic81006 3 months ago
@mystic81006 yes i agree God is all powerful. The 6 *day* creation is correct, the same Hebrew word for "day" is used in both days of creation & the warning in Gen2v(2&)17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not
eat of it: for in the *day* that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

I.e restoring the dead to life, for age-abiding life for the righteous and judgement for the wicked, who will return to dust in the lake of fire.

mystic81006 1 month ago
@mystic81006 Well the greeks loved the idea of a soul that survives death [contrary to the hebrew concept of the body being the soul] however, however upon conversion to christianity how could they reconcile the destruction of the wicked, and death, as christianity had no afterlive per se, its all physical, a new heavens and earth, kingdom coming from heaven to earth, resurrection etc, so they twisted the scriptures to fit. look at the works of augustine and tertullian, its insane.
reallycoolman2003 1 month ago
@reallycoolman2003 There is no twisting scripture when Yashua says they will go to the place of torment that is created for the fallen angels.
mystic81006 1 month ago
@mystic81006 hey dude, if you want to listen to nutjobs like this, who want to make up divisive false controversies to sell books then fine. But remember something, God is a righteous God, he will not be made a fool of. You want to make him out to be an eternal torturer then great. Suffer the consequences. You make eternal punishment into eternal torment. Then deny the resurrection, as for you it proves nothing. just that Jesus is God, it ignores his promises however, to bring life.
reallycoolman2003 1 month ago

Tell me why Paul and Moses would want to leave Heaven to be resurrected on Earth? wouldn't the hope be in living in Heaven? but no he lives in hope of the resurrection, and a glorified body.
reallycoolman2003 1 month ago

Could be,but I am not going to say I know 100 percent becouse no man does, not even you, nore me,only the lord knows.
mystic81006 3 months ago

You can try and take hell out of the Bible but Jesus talked more about hell than heaven for a very good reason. It seems like most are taking the broad road when you take an honest look around the world.
habfan24 11 months ago
@habfan24
jesus or yashua did not talk about hell more than heaven that is non sense. and no one is saying it isn't real. what i am saying is that it is not what modern people perceive it to be, because they don't understand the original languages the bible was written in!
reverendloush 6 months ago
there is so much we don't know. we do know that Christ talked about Father God and Love more than anything...there for he spoke of heaven more. to speak of The Father is to speak of heaven. and we don't know most of what he said or did, or told his closest followers in private! remember he lived a real life and talked everyday. we only have what is written in a book, which isn't even one third of what he said or did!

Here are the correct translations in plain English:
Sheol = the grave, the state of the dead or being dead
Gehenna = the Valley of Gehenna located 8 miles south west of Jerusalem
Tartaroo = demon prison, from Greek mythology
There is no hell in the bible, in fact the word hell didn't appear in the bible until 1395
averagebear1 11 months ago 2

@reverendloush
the Hebrew word for grave is" קבורה = qĕbuwrah= keb-oo-raw'" and this is the actual word that means burial spot, tomb, grave site etc.

@MrFundieKiller Where does that say he claimed "divine right of kings".
TheCardPastor 1 year ago
@MrFundieKiller Even if Anthony Weldon wasn't the man who wrote the claims about King James, there was papers claiming that "King James was a homosexual". FYI, King James as married to a woman named "Anne of Denmark" which indeed bore 3 children which one of them became future King of England (Charles I of England).

@MrFundieKiller King James was never a homosexual. A man named "Anthony Weldon" who hated King James, claim that King James was a homosexual by writing papers (This is started 25 years after The death of King James).

There is this big debate that divides the Church (and this is exactly what Satan wants).
Paul said, in 1 Cor 1:10
"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
Clearly the manuscripts that caused this hellish division are to be questioned.

Sheol or "hades" is the abode of the dead, it is where all dead go, it is inside the earth, the lower part is where the unsaved go, the upper part is paradise where Jesus took the thief and spent 3 days, he then was resurrected ,and took some saints with him, they were resurrected as well, all that are saved go to paradise or the upper part of hades also known as Abraham's bosom when they die,

when Christ comes again we will be resurrected and meet him in the air, reign with him 1000 years, and then all unsaved, death & hades will be thrown into the lake of fire which is hell where Satan, the beast, & the false prophet will already be.
