So once i tryed be a badass and Keeping my seatbelt off during takeoff Bad idea RT Rejected/Takeoff Smashed head into 7" LCD Tv in frontt of me not fun
Another great video!! You have some absolute awesome uploads, and I enjoy them all! By the way, you are correct. The aircraft is a 777-200 ER model, evidenced by the non-raked wing tips.
Isn't Los Angeles way different than the South? I am a California native, but recently moved to Atlanta. The landscape of Los Angeles is covered in grey and white because of the urban sprawl, but in Georgia there are green natural land.
I always find it funny how whenever you are at the back of a large aircraft, the pitch seems to look totally differet to when your just behind the wing. Great video, well done
777-200LR's are flown once a day roundtrip between Los Angeles International Airport and Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. It has to be an LR, and it was not a swap if you departed LAX at around 7 AM.
This flight departed at 1:15 PM and was supposed to be a 767-300 according to our reservation so I call that an aircraft swap. Perhaps it was not !!! Again, other sites show N861DA as an ER but if you guys think it is an LR then it is !!!! Not going to argue !!!!!
@SDMullis If it departed at 1:15 from Los Angeles it was an aircraft swap. It is interesting that that would occur, because to my knowledge the 777-200LR's come in from Asia. I cannot figure out why an ER would be at LAX. The flight looked lightly booked is that the case?
I remember that there was not a single empty seat on the entire plane. I guess it is difficult to see that all the seats were full by looking at the video.
As mentioned the reg number was N861DA. All the airliner websites show that aircraft is an ER. That's the only way I can know for sure. I do not remember the seats in business.
I miss the MD-80 series, 747s and 727s too, but models like the 777 and 747-8 incorporate 40+ years of improvements and the "oldies" live on through the relative newcomers. Great video, SD! Thanks for posting it (and yes, the seats look comfy, which can't always be said for some of those older widebodies ;)
It is sad to me that the 747 is being replaced by the 777, I first got an interest in airplanes after seeing my first 747. Oh well, I hope Boeing comes up with a new version of the 747.

This is a 777-200ER. The 777-200LRs fly out of LAX to SYD and there occasional LRs that do the ATL LAX turn arounds
1DLflyer 1 year ago
@1DLflyer Sorry, but 777-200LR's are regularly scheduled once daily from LAX to ATL and ATL to LAX.
JohnRhysMusician 1 year ago
@JohnRhysMusician
Actually, flight 17 arrives from ATL and continues to SYD. Returning as Flight 16 and continuing to ATL, therefore, only one 777-200LR.

@JohnRhysMusician I am aware. I made it plural because the plane is not the same plane everyday.
