don't know if you have shown it in a previous video but you might want to mention the use of this stance in sharing vertical cover ( trees ,poles, corners, etc.)
It makes sense to do it this way, its plain safer, you just need to know when to do it. I personally wouldn't do it in a large open exposed space, but, its perfect for a narrow, linear, enclosed spaces with little to no cover, for example a hall way engagement.
Never be close take my word brothers / it makes it a hole lot easyer to kill two of you with one clip bro. allways keep apart at least 5 feet and if under fire spilt one left one right , i hope i dont spoil this upload . i just had to say something sorry , my god be with you all
@kissmyarse666 Are you saying that current law enforcement training, conventional infantry urban warfare training and special operation training is all wrong? There are situation and lots of them where control of your team and the ability to respond dictates being in close proximity to your team members. I give up........
@southernprepper1 im not here to pick & poek buddy beleave me , im telling you that this is no special operations tactics 110%on that , are you saying that you have served in special forces ? so you was a green berets brother
@southernprepper1 Don't feed the trolls man !! I love your videos, very informative. Makes me think about situations I may not have considered. Thank you.
@southernprepper1 Believe me your fans love these videos, real preppers, real patriots, people you care about, this illiterate punk is obviously an idiot, he will never ever even touch a M4/Ar15 being a brit so who gives a crap about what he thinks. I have seen this technique before, its used in cqb a lot. Thanks for showing us the safe way to do it. Pay no mind to the idiot brit, thanks for the video.
@73Corbin For the record, we do have M4's and other AR type rifles here in the UK. But they are not semi automatic and have to be converted to be straight pull versions which run like bolt guns. You shoot the rifle and then operate the bolt manually. Also, we have no concept of using firearms for self defence here in the UK. Our guns are for hunting, vermin control and other sporting activities, not for shooting people. However, ignorance is ignorance wherever it's from. Great technique.
@TacticoolGear You need the facts before you act so smug, typical of a brit. Violent crime is higher in england per capita than in the US. Youve got football hooligans, unemployed idle youth doing all kinds of home invasions, robberies, aggravated assaults. You forget Northern Ireland? Thats pretty violent. Oh i cant stand the brits with their smug heads in the sand, forgetting that their empire has fallen and they are just as bad as everyone else. You and your whole country are a big joke.
@73Corbin oh yeah, I forgot about all the london riots, train bombings, skinhead gangs. Unemployment rate higher than its been in 20 years causing the highest rate of robbery in the WORLD (because the thugs know you dont have a gun). You can think yourself superior all you want. I think i will go clean a few of my guns, maybe order a silencer and machine gun, can you do that in your merry ol england? I think not! Good luck with your financial collapse, cheerio
@73Corbin Hey mate, no need to go off on one. I wasn't implying we don't have a crime problem over here. I meant we are not allowed to defend ourselves with firearms. Some over here think that's a real shame. Hope that clears things up. You guys over there have many more freedoms than we do over here. Long may they continue.
@kissmyarse666...you lost me at "clip". Anyway, kind of hard to split 5 feet apart when (as mentioned in the video) you are in an active shooter scenario in a narrow hallway or confined space. Or what if the only cover available is juuuust big enough for you and your partner to squeeze behind? This is valuable information and a great training video. Thanks!
@southernprepper1 What people don't realize is that every Infantry Unit in the Army has a slightly different SOP. Some are better some are worse, but like shooting no one can tell you the best way for YOU to do it. You have to figure what is best for you and the people you work with and then decide how to do it.
@kissmyarse666 I'm pretty sure you get your experience from sitting behind a TV screen playing video games. Criticizing in a constructive manner needs to come from a reliable source. I am not saying that I myself am an expert, but from what I have observed from your terrible spelling and childish comments, you have the cognitive process of a fifteen year old teenager. When rounds start cracking over your head, you need to DO, not think. "Repetitive task-specific training". God Bless
@southernprepper1 You are correct in your video I was in L.E. for 10 years and when trained on tactical entry with what is known as the diamond formation or four man the point man has a man on either side WITH A GUN also : o . Good video ignore the rest of the troll comments and keep up the good work
looks like you knows what youre doing, but what are you going to do when military goon squads in helicopters repel ontoyour property to seize food for redistribution and haul them off to FEMA camps?
They will spot his property with drones, then send the goons in. They will probably say lay down your weapons, we are seizing this property under authorization from the dictatorship any resistance will be met with deadly force. The goons will have grenades etc
@southernprepper1 you always talk about gun and tactice in weapons what knifes, sword, slingshot, and blowguns. If you can please do a video on these thing.
@kissmyarse666 this is exactly how law enforcement trains to handle active shooters, and very similar to how we were taught to do room entry/clearing, and very similar to some urban warfare training in the Army. whil its not perfect for EVERY situation, it is appropriate for some. Bottom line folks is that having the sense to choose what tractics to use in any given situation is as important as knowing the tactics themselves.
@kissmyarse666 in a real situation they won't be wearing jeans and a tshirt. Most are wearing full body armor and the bullet won't penetrate two bodies. Most never leave the first one. body armor with trauma plate or kevlar helmet protects everyone. These positions he is showing you wouldnt be used in every situation but are good for close combat quarters, room clearing and more. Use your brain shoot safe.
@kissmyarse666 Frankly, what SP1 is showing is sound tactical practice. A gunfight in real life ISN'T like in the movies, where Captain Bad-guy and Commander Badguy's Sidekick stand there and hose the area down with an entire magazine of automatic weapons fire. Using consistent fire coordination as a result of real tactical training like SP1 shows here is going to ensure the good guys go home every time, while the bad guys get shipped out in a bag.
@stormsigma To clarify my statement: a coordinated team of people who have trained in working together in the way shown in the video above are always going to be more effective than a bunch of ragtag unorganized "every man for himself" folks. That's why SWAT teams and special forces groups all train in small fireteams and not "You fifty guys storm those stairs!". Small teams with excellent CQC training are going to win.
well done. a lot of non-LE people are probably not familiar with the importance of physical contact with your team. when moving as a team, contact is the steering wheel and brakes
This was a great video, I learned several new things about team tactics I did not previously, granted my knowledge is pretty low. I would like to humbly request more videos of this nature.
This is why it's a good idea to have plates in the back as well as the front lol.
Also, I was trained to 2 do things when getting up, one, do a scan, for both bad and good guys, and to ask permission to go to kneeling/standing. It was always "Standing." with "Stand." being the response that it's safe to stand.
Sp1, do our boys not at least wear hearing protection on the side they are firing on? & if not, how can they NOT go deaf? I squeezed off just 2 rounds with the AR 1 time with 0 hearing protection; it was downright painful & my ear rang for at least day afterwards.
Howdy from SC, just wanted to say thanks for the video. When I was a young slodier I just couldn't see the benifit of training over and over but when the time comes and you need the training, well you see it then. Watching this video is not enough. Take what you just learned and put it into action. Practice it over and over again. You'll be glad you did.
Special Ops Mission! good show to watch on mil channel its about a 1 man sf guy against seals, frogs, force recon u name it, in multiple situations, i highly recommend it has a lot of great tactics!
We used this type of technique when I was in the Army it is very effective especially in close quarters such as buildings and hall ways. Also the kneeling man can tap the leg of the standing man to get his attention to comunicate or the standing man can tap the kneeling man on the back to iniate comunication. The Army is very protective of fratricide and train extesibly to prevent it.
I agree with SP1 that it depends on the situation, it depends on location and enemy's weapons if the bad guys are carrying shotguns or using 3-round burst then this would be a sitting target.
If anything you make a great point to think and practice these things through in advance, so that safety is second nature, rather than an afterthought. Thanks for sharing.
I know this is just a little of subject but just want some feed back from any and all readers.. Which of the following rifles are the better choice... Stag Arms Model 3, Bushmaster M4A3 XM15 E2S Patrol Carbine, or the Sig Sauer M400 Tactical? All chambered in 5.56 NATO / .223...
@america2revolt Stag, for the value. It's going to be cheaper than the others, but at the same or higher quality. I went with a Del-ton flattop AR chambered in 5.56 with a chrome lined bore. I paid $718 total. I couldn't ask for a better rifle.
hey bro thanks for caring enough to correct some of the nonsense thats going on out there. I fear that when SHTF too many people that do not have CORRECT tactical training are going to become casualties...I think its a great idea to run some courses to help prepare the civilians to survive.
This situation happened a few years ago in my area, State Troopers, one kneeling, got up quick took round to chest from bad guy fell back(Bulletproof jacket took round) other trooper behind him muzzle went under the back of his helmet, trooper had his finger on trigger, round went off trooper dead..and these troopers were supposed to be an elite troop team...Too bad you weren't their trainer SP1,..that trooper would be alive today
have you thought of adding tannerite to your arsenal.. tanerite is a explosive that has to be shot with a high power rifle to be set off and causes zero flames. it takes about 5 pounds to cut down a tree....also how do you feel about molotov cocktails for urban preppers and other "hand grenade" related weaponary
have you thought of adding tannerite to your arsenal.. tanerite is a explosive that has to be shot with a high power rifle to be set off and causes zero flames. it takes about 5 pounds to cut down a tree
Good job. Been in that situation (long hallway with bad guys ahead) and it sucks royally. It sucks even worse not knowing where your buddy is exactly. That little divided mindset can get you in real trouble real quick. Knowing exactly where he is while throwing down some overwhelming fire power is the best way out of a bad situation. Appreciate your post.
In my training we took the Right of the kneeler touching right leg pulling up with the weak hand of partner who's stand (to keep clear of the legs and/or feet ) but on top looks good but There was some reason for the directly behind was wrong But I do not remenber WE trained with 38/357 pistols not AR's back in the 1980s
I got hit the back of the head with a rock as a kid in this exact situation. I stood up just as my buddy was throwing a rock at some plastic army men.. I can laugh about it now but it wasn't funny at the time. My T-Shirt was coverd in blood and it scared the shit out my mother.
Good stuff SP. I was taught to get even closer, hence the name it earned in our circle, the "teabag". So close that it doesnt allow the kneeler to even get up. But you do gotta watch out for affecting the kneelers shot when that tight. Great info.
@plalelal Every situation and environment calls for different tactics and approach. This is a acceptable means if you dont like being bunched up then spread out. But there will be LOTS of situation where this method will work better than being spread out.
@southernprepper1 About being bunched up, you are correct. Sometimes you need to be close because of urban or close quarter combat. Also maybe night ops where there is a chance of losing contact with your group. It is a lot harder to call out tactics when you are spread out. There are intances where you need to be spread out also. It is left up to the platoon leader or whoever is in charge.
@southernprepper1 It also can be to the advantage becase when one man must reload the other person can expend his rounds as well at the tarets for constant fire. Though the only real problem I see is if the guy in front gets shot and falls backwards or grabs his partner in a panic. That can harm the partner as well and compromise a situation.
one man stacked atop another creates a silhouette that is almost exactly the same size as a single individual (assuming the bottom guy isn't grossly obese). The only difference that an individual shooter has a hole between his legs,Where as a Fire-team occupies this space with a kneeling man.
Excellent video, buddy! Safety first! One concern is for a CWP who joins the engagement and the first shooter doesn't know the guy is coming from behind him! Verbal comms aren't always effective, so it's paramount to signal to the first shooter that you are indeed friendly, because he might think you a threat if he can hear you coming from the rear, but not see you. This could happen in close quarters, with sound bouncing off walls. Thank you for making this video!
@WizardKing78 I have watched it 20 times this section to see if he sweeped him but the back shooter is closer to the camera and when he raised his weapon you do see some movement of the weapon to the camera going around the bottom guy but the only way to tell is to have a camera behind him.
@southernprepper1 Everyone is a 2nd day monday quarterbacker. Until I see you guys guys in action doing a video showing better results in the same scenario give it a rest. Southern pepper doesnt portray he is the end all be all of advice but he sure does a great job of giving "Sound" advice.. Also this shooting placement gives a good place to tap out when falling back..
@WizardKing78 honestly it happens more than you think in combat situations anyways..although you try to avoid as much as possible it will EVENTUALLY happen. Relax and enjoy the video
"church Security team" thats crossed my mind once or twice, no one seem s to care enough at my Church to discus it, even the police that go there will discus any scenarios to impart any wisdom as to protocols or what have you, sad.
Thank you so much for the info, this is the kind of things most civilians like me would love to know more about. The problem was obvious but the solution was not. Greetings from Spain.
pretty new to your channel , I just want to say thanks for trying to help people prep. me being a red blooded american i'v always focused on the firepower aspect of wrol. You have helped to get me to realize thats not near good enough. So thanks for the inspiration and the leadership you give to help focus the community. god bless
My only suggestion would be to link to the video that inspired this one, or submit this one as a video response to it. You said they did a fantastic job with the exception of that one thing, which means it's a video worth watching! Plus we could compare and contrast your advice with the actual source material so to speak.
years ago my cousin killed his hunting partner due to this very situation, they were phesant hunting on a dirt road and my cousins hunting buddy knelt down to take a shot,,, he an issue with his 410.....my cousin said he would take the shot, his buddy stood up just as he shot and he hit his hunting buddy in the back of the head,.an avoidable accident ...but it did happen and caused my cousin many problems over the years growing up...Thanks for showing others SP1 ....keep up the good work
Thanks. It helps appreciated the training I wish I had! Are standard metal detectors good enough for mine sweeping. How deep in the ground must it detect? I just got a email to find metal detectors for clearing mines from a new mission school site. I'd hate to buy the wrong metal detectors..... thanks, any thought appreciated.
@southernprepper1, @jnpiel, tjenn71 Thanks guys for this very important information. I am headed to a war zone where there are mines. As far as equipment, I was headed down the middle of the road, but now will go back and find the best that I can for the price. I need several detectors not just one. I know nothing. If you have any suggestions please give me a PM. Given the mistake I almost made, I really need the help.
@InTheSticks0001 if all the mines are metalic a metal detector would work but if they have a plastic or wooden case and very little metal in the firing chain it would be hard to detect them, even with mine dectors that can dectect metalic and non-metalic mines it takes combat engineers a lot of training to do it right. you only get to be wrong once
@tjenn71@jnpiel Thanks guys for this very important information. I am headed to a war zone where there are mines. @InTheSticks0001 I was a combat enginerr in the marines and swept for many mines and removed many mines. If you are just wanting to train and keep sharp for incase our goverment goes south than a stander good quality mine dector will be fine. If your a contractor or sombody who is going to wear there prob are mines then consult the companies and get the best rig you can. The ones we had in the marines so so sesitive we calbraited them with a 5cm peice of meatle in a plastic caseing.
@jnpiel Thanks guys for this very important information. I am headed to a war zone where there are mines. I do see this as being a good technique for CQC, hallways, etc., But doing this in the open would unnecessarily give the enemy a juicy "bunched up" target.
Yeah we did that in the military always when we took over corners in urban areas, just ram your knee/legs to the guys back so he knows you are there. Thanks for the vid!
Tip - To reduce exposure to enemy fire, avoid open areas, avoid silhouetting yourself, and select a covered position before movement. Tracers help with the command of fire from multiple shooters - night vision being the advanced class
Excellent combat safety tip, I always love to see your modern tactical maneuver techniques. Quite a bit more refined than I received shortly after the End of Vietnam, when I switched from Air Force to Army. Back Then a lot of our training involved team firing positions and such, or bounding over watch assault, but very little very close team movement like that. I guess back then, we had more worry about Charlie and his grenades and mortars than concentration of firepower.
Great points. Even for those of us with some training ,having not been in a real life situation involving an exchange of bullets, there is much to learn from people like yourself with real firsthand experience.
A VERY good point made here! Excellent video! A LOT of guys probably never even thought about this aspect of team fighting. Safety is what keeps your guys alive and the other guys not. God bless, SP1!!
Regardless of the right or wrong of the video (Yes, there are 1,000 ways to do something), the one part you really need to change, and maybe repost, is 1. Not showing weapons clear and 2. I have seen this technique before, its used in cqb a lot. Thanks for showing us the safe way to do it. Pay no mind to the idiot brit, thanks for the video.
73Corbin 1 month ago
@73Corbin For the record, we do have M4's and other AR type rifles here in the UK. But they are not semi automatic and have to be converted to be straight pull versions which run like bolt guns. You shoot the rifle and then operate the bolt manually. Also, we have no concept of using firearms for self defence here in the UK. Our guns are for hunting, vermin control and other sporting activities, not for shooting people. However, ignorance is ignorance wherever it's from. Great technique.
TacticoolGear 1 month ago
@TacticoolGear You need the facts before you act so smug, typical of a brit. Violent crime is higher in england per capita than in the US. Youve got football hooligans, unemployed idle youth doing all kinds of home invasions, robberies, aggravated assaults. You forget Northern Ireland? Thats pretty violent. Oh i cant stand the brits with their smug heads in the sand, forgetting that their empire has fallen and they are just as bad as everyone else. You and your whole country are a big joke.
73Corbin 1 month ago
@73Corbin oh yeah, I forgot about all the london riots, train bombings, skinhead gangs. Unemployment rate higher than its been in 20 years causing the highest rate of robbery in the WORLD (because the thugs know you dont have a gun). You can think yourself superior all you want. I think i will go clean a few of my guns, maybe order a silencer and machine gun, can you do that in your merry ol england? I think not! Good luck with your financial collapse, cheerio
73Corbin 1 month ago

You have to figure what is best for you and the people you work with and then decide how to do it.

livinginbushprepper 1 month ago
@kissmyarse666 this is exactly how law enforcement trains to handle active shooters, and very similar to how we were taught to do room entry/clearing, and very similar to some urban warfare training in the Army. whil its not perfect for EVERY situation, it is appropriate for some. Bottom line folks is that having the sense to choose what tractics to use in any given situation is as important as knowing the tactics themselves.
jerobinson30 1 month ago 2
@kissmyarse666 in a real situation they won't be wearing jeans and a tshirt. Most are wearing full body armor and the bullet won't penetrate two bodies. Most never leave the first one. body armor with trauma plate or kevlar helmet protects everyone. These positions he is showing you wouldnt be used in every situation but are good for close combat quarters, room clearing and more. Use your brain shoot safe.

@kissmyarse666 You sir need to watch the entire video and listen bro. Given certain situations!
thegbpackers284 1 month ago
@kissmyarse666 Frankly, what SP1 is showing is sound tactical practice. A gunfight in real life ISN'T like in the movies, where Captain Bad-guy and Commander Badguy's Sidekick stand there and hose the area down with an entire magazine of automatic weapons fire. Using consistent fire coordination as a result of real tactical training like SP1 shows here is going to ensure the good guys go home every time, while the bad guys get shipped out in a bag.
stormsigma 1 month ago
@stormsigma To clarify my statement: a coordinated team of people who have trained in working together in the way shown in the video above are always going to be more effective than a bunch of ragtag unorganized "every man for himself" folks. That's why SWAT teams and special forces groups all train in small fireteams and not "You fifty guys storm those stairs!". Small teams with excellent CQC training are going to win.

@america2revolt Stag, for the value. It's going to be cheaper than the others, but at the same or higher quality. I went with a Del-ton flattop AR chambered in 5.56 with a chrome lined bore. I paid $718 total. I couldn't ask for a better rifle.

SouthBayRick 1 month ago
Good stuff SP. I was taught to get even closer, hence the name it earned in our circle, the "teabag". So close that it doesnt allow the kneeler to even get up. But you do gotta watch out for affecting the kneelers shot when that tight. Great info.

plalelal 1 month ago 3
@plalelal Every situation and environment calls for different tactics and approach. This is a acceptable means if you dont like being bunched up then spread out. But there will be LOTS of situation where this method will work better than being spread out.
southernprepper1 1 month ago 10
@southernprepper1 About being bunched up, you are correct. Sometimes you need to be close because of urban or close quarter combat. Also maybe night ops where there is a chance of losing contact with your group. It is a lot harder to call out tactics when you are spread out. There are intances where you need to be spread out also. It is left up to the platoon leader or whoever is in charge.
tomcoc66 1 month ago
@southernprepper1 It also can be to the advantage becase when one man must reload the other person can expend his rounds as well at the tarets for constant fire. Though the only real problem I see is if the guy in front gets shot and falls backwards or grabs his partner in a panic. That can harm the partner as well and compromise a situation.

blccleaning 1 month ago
@plalelal stacking people horizontally is just as big a target.
Timisso1337 1 month ago
@plalelal
one man stacked atop another creates a silhouette that is almost exactly the same size as a single individual (assuming the bottom guy isn't grossly obese). The only difference that an individual shooter has a hole between his legs,Where as a Fire-team occupies this space with a kneeling man.
Blondiesel 1 month ago
Excellent video, buddy! Safety first! One concern is for a CWP who joins the engagement and the first shooter doesn't know the guy is coming from behind him! Verbal comms aren't always effective, so it's paramount to signal to the first shooter that you are indeed friendly, because he might think you a threat if he can hear you coming from the rear, but not see you. This could happen in close quarters, with sound bouncing off walls. Thank you for making this video!
