I hardly ever use polish to paint with any more, I use acrylic paints instead cause they NEVER smudge with top coat, and they're cheaper and easier. If I do use polish I use Essie Good To Go Topcoat, cause it hardly ever smudges, and some people use Posche topcoat and say its amazing too :)

@mereldsilva Some are non-toxic, they have a symbol on the side of the bottle. FolkArt and DecoArt are safe :)

@liefrinkje1 I get my brushes from vivalanails.co.uk, they don't cost too much, and the tiny brush I used to outline the bow is the smallest brush I could find in the art store :)

@16angel161 Start out by doing other peoples designs and keep practising till you get good at them, then hopefully you'll start thinking of ideas for your own. I bought a bag of fake nails of ebay and they are great for practising and making up designs, I'd definitely recommend getting some.

Try mixing 2 tutorials together to make a new look, or copying a pattern you see on a dress, or on some fabric, that's where I get a lot of my ideas.

@princesse3210 Have you seen those pots of nail polish remover wipes in the drugstore? I just wipe my brush over the top wipe to clean it. Eventually I remove the top one and just keep going :)
