  • @YuNgMuN04 52% of organic farmers use no pesticides at all, and the rest generally use much less than conventional. A 2009 French Agency for Food Safety study suggests 94%-100% of organic foods contain no pesticide residue at all. h t t p : / / w w w . agronomy-journal . org/index.php?option=com_article&access=doi&doi=10.1051/agro/2009019&Itemid=129

  • This guy is 100% correct in every sense of the mother fucking word. Those who listen shall prevail, those who differ shall fall to there deaths.

  • I am a certified nutritionist, and I have watched almost all Sean's videos and like what I see. I have yet to make a negative comment, however, your argument about pesticides is misleading to the lay person. Everyone uses pesticides to grow crops, even organic farmers, yes they are different than commercial chemicals, but still chemicals. I agree they are more nutritious for us, but sometimes the price is far too high for me to suggest to the middle class person.

  • @YuNgMuN04 Nonsense. I work part-time and can afford organic. In fact I spend LESS now that I'm off processed foods. I don't like to insult ppl I'll never meet behind my computer, as a rule, but quite frankly you are a lousy 'nutritionist,' as you are doing your middle class 'clients' a major disservice

  • well, i hear what you are saying and i'm very much all for it. i'm vegan/rawfood and only buy organic except when i have a pay crunch than i'd rather eat conventional veggies than to eat meat. to someone who can't afford to pay the organic price temporarily, conventional is better than meat i would think....until organic is financially feasible.

  • Any good books out there on the science of SOIL?

  • is he asking us to eat soil? xD

  • If we didn't actually grow the fruit or vegetables who's to say that it is honestly organic?

  • thats mad money tho man :-/

  • I work with scientist from one of the largest agricultural companies in the world. I can tell you that the things that are sprayed on food are to eliminate very specific pests. They do not hurt the soil as much as you claim. If what you say is true, then how could you use a field more than once to grow something if the first time you used chemicals it killed the soil? Plus....Im sure you have heard of fertilizer? That helps keep the soil nutrient rich. Think about it please.

  • @jedimastereric

is that Monsanto you mean lol, yeah spray that agent orange (aka round-up)...zap those nasty weeds, eat those genetically modified crops that have zero nutritional value, there are no nutrients in the soil hence the need for fertilizer, no more fallow fields, the earth is like a conveyor belt now it never stops producing "food",we are scorching the earth.

  • Bacteria are micro-organisms first off, so that madge you sound uninformed. Second, for a plant to develop properly it has to pull nutrients out of the soil. If there are no nutrients such as you claim then the plant would be unhealthy and not pruduce fruit or the fruit would be small. If you go up and see a big red "commercial" apple you have to understand that the tree that made it spent a large amount of nutrients to produce it. Organic foods are a gimmik.

  • "theres things called micro organisms, and some other stuff like bacteria".

Its almost as dumb as asking for a town halfway between USA and Texas?

  • You took that completely out of context

  • Not quite...

  • I always get a feeling I'm listening to some religious nut when organic food people start their ramblings. The majority of scientific studies, some lasting for decades, confirm NO connection with nutrients in your food and whether or not it's organic. In the modern world farmers use fertilizer, introducing nutrients to the soil. Organic farmers don't? If the world went organic about 3 Billion people would die from starvation like what happened in the dark ages. Organic=hoax/religion.

  • Dude, I'm sure you're a good person and all, but you don't know what the hell you're talking about. There is an army of microbiologists who would disagree with you. Google this: Dr. Bruce Ames.

So you're telling me that the fungicide we spray on our apple trees penetrates 10 feet down into the soil and kills all the nutrients the tree is uptaking? That's preposterous. You can't see that?

BTW, literally dozens of studies done by actual scientists reject your phony theory.

  • I'm still Sceptical about this... Here's why.

" The nutrient content of plants is determined primarily by heredity. Mineral content may be affected by the mineral content of the soil, but this has no significance in the overall diet. If essential nutrients are missing from the soil, the plant will not grow. If plants grow, that means the essential nutrients are present. ."

I got this from QuackWatch and anyone care to elaborate? Also, Where does Paul gets his info from?

  • correct I only eat organic.

  • thanks man, you really have spread the truth about food and nutrition. I always second guess conventional nutrition, and as a nutrition major ill keep an open mind. thankjs agian

  • pay now or pay later when it comes to organic!!!

  • LOL - this is true about it as a direct affect sean but your playing with the data. Don't get me wrong I dont like my food tampered with. However, the displacement of these chemicals is very fast and well felt. A small percent is aborbed into the plant. Still, your fighting the good fight. Production should be a agenda when these foods are made but it shouldnt be a primary agenda when health is concerned. You should make a video about stagnation and bacterial contamination in foods i think :D tc

  • If you want more info about what Sean was talking about...

Check out "Paul Chek Dirt Facts of Nutrition"

You can find it on my play-list on my YouTube page.

  • I did some investigation into who was funding the Nutrition department at the University I attended. Major food conglomerates like skippy peanut butter, kraft, pepsi and coke are huge investors. So any education you receive in a formal academic setting is suspect to bias for sure.

These pesticides and chemicals they put on these plants work by killing these insects in two ways. They are nervous system and endocrine system disrupter's. Ingested enough, they can do the same to us.
