it doesn't seem to be working...is this glitch version specific? from the video, it looked to be the European version of the game, as it used the Secret of Evermore font, rather than the font used for the American version.
If you look on my video uploads, there's a video I made of a game where somehow I managed to get Phanna to vanish and enter the Pandora ruins before getting Undine or Gnome, and in the end I managed to make it all the way to the Wind Palace with no magic! But I can't remember exactly how it happened, other than that I clearly remember not getting captured by Goblins near the Water Palace.
you can use this glitch, to make the swort to the mana sword (that means without magic) BUT the germans put out that glitch. the translation into german is sometimes also pretty bad
German studios 'always' translate from the original japanese verions. So germany is using the 'real' lines. While the amerikans often have problems translating them correctly, or are just too pride to use what other countries use. Either way, it's the amerikans idiocy that is making their games lack something.
@kauyun@kauyun maybe you´re right, but that´s why i wrote "sometimes" you know xD final fantasy x has also the same problem, but i like the englisch dialog with Thanatos and the party on the mana fortress more in the english version xD
i´m german, so sry, if there stupid language mistakes xD
Hey, my apologies, I think I was drunk that night. My comment was uncalled for and I deleted it.
Sometimes I just get sick of everyone bashing on Americans, because other countries have screwed up too. We gave you Obama, what more do you want? But alas, me getting pissed just spurs them on as we all learned back in grade school.
I have to disappoint you. SoM German translation was not 1to1 with the japanese script.
Most of the NPCs were renamed and most of the dialoge was changed. Changed for the worse, with bad jokes and such.
The reason why the german version was this way, was because the japanese Square Employes said: "Make it funny."
I prefer to play the VWF version of FuSoYa, because it gave the game so much more text to read. And to boot the game became much darker with the additions.
@ThanatosZero yeah... tell me about it... Me, beeing all german, I played the game and it was kinda... well annoying at some points.
I guess they tryed making this funny so a younger audience could play the game as well. But alas, I'm not young anymore, so I just download an emulator for the PC.^^

@abomasnow4 Nope. I filmed this while playing a romhack of the game but it DOES work with the regular version of the game.
Also, I don't know what I was thinking, making such an obtuse video like this.

Wow, what version of the game is this, that has Chicago as its font?
