the reason we don't like soccer is because its not a high scoring game. simple as that. We love basketball, american football, hockey, constant end to end action. Where as soccer you can sit for 90 mins and get a 0-0 or a 1-0. Now i personally don't mind soccer (I love champions league), but Its just not as exciting.

Its cos you've got no interest in subtle tactics, patience and watching the long game. big and bold and fast doesnt mean better. slower paced games can be, and in my opinion are, much better spectators sports. Top quality Snooker and Cricket matches are much more thrilling then superbowl games ive seen. simples.

american football is well overrated. thats why its only really big in america. hockey and basketball are alot quicker if you take into account how quickly the game goes from one side to another, but it doesnt mean more action or more excitement, it just means that americans have a short attention span from all that sugar and chemicals you eat. football is watched by billions of people every week, but its not as exciting as american sports right? how many people watch american football each week?

what about rugby? 80 minutes - with clock stopping, so always actual more than 80 mins - with one break for half time and their bodies go through far more demand than a football/soccer player's.
though i read in the paper recently a study that said that football/soccer is far better exercise than running, because of the range of movements your body goes through, as opposed to moving in a straight line.
i play an hour of five-a-side every week and that's pretty good exercise!

stop generalizing! you don't know me. I know loads about soccer. Football is obviously your entire world so when you hear someone say its not that great you bite back really easily lol. Its just not that big here and never will be. Its more popular with girls. Boys play it in school until about age 11-12 then (by choice) they tend to move onto more manly action packed sports instead like Gridiron, wrestling or basketball. Nobody from my school ever found soccer fun, last thing people chose.
