  • God, tv used to be sooooo good back when shows like this were on. Truly sad what tv has become.

  • Wonderful show. I miss shows that would uplift your spirit. Now most shows make you want to put your head in the oven.

  • I always thought Victor French was kind of hot when this was on, but I never told anybody that's why I watched it sometimes.

  • The opening for Highway To Heaven remained the same form start to finish;only the theme varied.

  • Now that's the STUFF!!

  • Now that I think of it, I thought it would have been awesome to perform this at a high school concert when I was in band! Love the brass section!

  • Am I the only one who thinks the last bar of that music sounds an awful lot like Little House?

  • That was the best show... A beautiful beginning... I love the music ... The sky ... The twinkle of the sun ... And then here comes our angel... Except I lost my angel (my husband 9/8/2009) he loved that show maybe he is up there talking to Michael Landon... If he is he better say hi for me... I miss my angel..... It is hard w/o him.... God must have needed him... But so did I.... I still do.... Lost without my angel.... ;-(

  • RIP Michael Landon(1936-1991) & Victor French(1934-1989), two of the greatest actors & directors of all-time!!!!!!

  • They both died too young.

  • My mom passed away almost 5 months ago at age 60, she's now in Heaven with these incredible actors and directors who left us way too soon.

  • This opening is pure magic!

  • RIP MIchael Landon, thank you for all your shows!

  • danke

eine tolle erinnerung an meine kinderzeit.

    ich hab die serie geliebt.

meine lieblingsfolge war die wo der geist eines hundes nach einem autounfall hilfe holte

  • my grandfather never smoked a day in his life and he died of pancreatic cancer just like Michael Landon. Show respect dont judge

  • I'm not being disrespectful. All I was doing was

stating a fact. Michael Landon did smoke a lot

and he also ate a lot of junk food.

Maybe that led to the pancreatic cancer and maybe it didn't.

  • Michael Landon fought to the very end. I wish he was still alive. The positivity from this man was phenomenol. I've often wondered why the good die young.

  • so innocent and uplifting, i remember thinking as a child that man always looks like he was going to cry!

  • I remember being 6yrs. old & crying after hearing this song one rainy evening. It just sounded so sad. *sigh* The 80's was one of the best eras of television ever. They'd never take the time to do an intro this elaborate & breath-takingly moving nowadays.

R.I.P Michael Landon. An angel in life & in death.

  • favorite intro ever.

  • Wow an original NBC recording of it...and for the record...THIS version of the theme was MUCH better than the one from 1984-1986.

  • sweet - hehheheeee

  • sad and beautiful

  • I used to love watching this show back in the day.

  • que buena serie, un clasico todas las eries de landon eran muy buena..tipu hindu para llorar

  • magnificent!
