Vince Neil sings pretty good, Paul Stanley sings pretty good Aerosmith singer, but Don Dokken should jog or hit the gym and quit smoking and drinking. I agree with you mostly, but would say their peak was late 80s around the Back for the Attack time period. Have you seen the Phildelphia concert from '87? I think some people have it posted here on YT. Check it out. George's tone isn't right (imo), but he is insanely tight and REALLY energetic. His playing was awesome that night. I DL'd a torrent of that show, but again, I think there are clips of it on here somewhere.. :-)
I agree, I saw Dokken when they opened for Poison in 2008 and they we're horrible. Their new guitarist Jon Levin is amazing but Don is disappointing. I wish I could go back in time and see them on the Back for the Attack tour.
