Honestly, they dropped the ball with the tourney finish. While I think that it was fair to put Adam Pearce in Danielson's spot and AmDrag got injured, I don't think that Pearce should have won the belt. Since Pearce lost to Danielson in the semi-finals, it diminished his credibility, while if Albright won, AmDrag could have turned that into the basis for a feud.

NWA drops the ball again. One of their most popular territories, NWA Midwest running out of Streamwood has ceased to run. Before they ceased running, they almost put IWA: MS out of buisness. NWA only cares about their new precious TV show and not about live territories like it always has been.

There's no disputing that all of these guys will definately put on great tournament matches for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, but sadly there's a reason why most of those guys are simply regional superstars. TNA kept the NWA fresh in the memories of current wrestling fans. If these guys are so good (with Danielson, Albright, and Castignoli, and Pearce as the exceptions) they would be making big money elsewhere and winning championships on bigger stages than just regionals.

That tournament list OK but by no means the best. Danielson, Castagnoli, Pearce are the only guys I think worthy of World Champ. I can't say anything for the others except, if they are meant to be the world's best, then how come no-one knows them?

What part of AU do you live in? Explosive Pro Wrestling (website epwperth DOT com) has been around for over 5 years (been sanctioned by the NWA for close to 2 years now) and they have a great company and draw fantastic crowds. For the life of me I don't understand why people make comments without any research. I believe EPW also runs shows in Adelaide too. Might want to check them out!

The NWA has a huge history but it's not a mainsteam promotion like WWE and TNA. This will be like the 64 team NCAA men's basketball tournament without the high gambling payoff. These matchups look good and could change careers. I hope this helps out the NWA and the future NWA World Heavyweight Champion whoever he maybe at the end of this tournament.

I would definately watch it. The NWA is the most illustrious and crucial wrestling organisation in the world. There would be no WWF/E, no WCW, no ECW and no TNA if they didn't have the NWA to build them up.
