every time i watch this video, for the first minutes, i get a little nervous. like i'm about to go down the first drop of a huge fuckin rollercoaster thats about to blow my face off.
Am I really the only one who thinks that Cedric sings like shit live? I mean I fucking love his voice on the records but every live performance Ive watched of TMV, Cedric just seems inable to hit all those notes he supposedly hit in the studio. Just makes me sad to know that that epic upon epicness voice I hear through my speakers is amped to shit with effects.
TMV are like musically programed robots. The drummer arm's must be replaced after every show. @XxMaLcLmPwNsxX you can make a strong batch yourself at home for less than a 4th that price. 750 ml everclear $16 + 1/8th of good weed $60 = Green Dragon. lol
@blitzkrieg187 ik, thats exactly how i do it, but a celebrity like cedric probly wouldnt have time to make it and risk himself getting busted and since he has lots of money, im assuming he would just purchase it off someone, but ya its WAY EASIER to just get a high proof alcohol and mix it with "X" amount of weed lol :D
you people must understand that 80 percent of this song on the studio version is harminized chords, it sounds way different becuase of that, and no he doesnt sound out of tune, he just doing the one harmony fellas :D

just throwin this out there...the cygnus jam...jon totally inspired that. they took it down and he just ran with it, Omar looked over like "holy shit good call", juan comes in with the bass, and there you have it folks...real jammin music.
i love how influenced jon is by bonham. TMV lost that salsa soul bombast when they got rid of jon. 08:40 can you really get any more musically orgasmic than that? money. it's like zeppelin on steroids and speed. unreal musicianship.
5:08 + is kewl. What is the name of that song? Or is it just a jam? It's the best material. U should separate it into a separate uploads so we don't have 2 wade through the bombastic BS noise 1'st =)
i honestly don't understand why people called them sellouts. if they were sellouts, they'd completely give up their own style of music and writing in order to make more money off of someone else's material. they did no such thing. they stuck to their own style and so what if more than 5 hipsters know about them? they deserve to be recognized for their talent.
@pornomime33 I guess it's because they signed with a major label, and "real" pawnks don't approve of that. I agree with you, they're about as unfiltered as it gets, the only thing their label does is funding their records and tours, and once in a while making trailers and buying the occational grammy. But i don't care, as long as they make the bombshells they call records i'm happy.
the cygnus jam gets me everytime. it blows me away how simple yet affective jons drumming was, and still is. he has influenced me in the most possitive way. thanks jon
Love how this vid captures the dance moves. Thanks for posting this show.

i honestly don't understand why people called them sellouts. if they were sellouts, they'd completely give up their own style of music and writing in order to make more money off of someone else's material. they did no such thing. they stuck to their own style and so what if more than 5 hipsters know about them? they deserve to be recognized for their talent.

@pornomime33 I guess it's because they signed with a major label, and "real" pawnks don't approve of that. I agree with you, they're about as unfiltered as it gets, the only thing their label does is funding their records and tours, and once in a while making trailers and buying the occational grammy. But i don't care, as long as they make the bombshells they call records i'm happy.

the cygnus jam gets me everytime. it blows me away how simple yet affective jons drumming was, and still is. he has influenced me in the most possitive way. thanks jon

Interesting idea: The Mars Volta should write and compose a zombie movie/soundtrack and act in it and have that be there next album
