  • One of the best animes!

  • Did Paul Lynde sing the theme song?

  • is it just me or does the singer sound like an even gayer fred schneider?

  • Remember when cartoon intros weren't only 2-10 seconds.

  • wow this looks ridiculus

  • OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally fogot about this. lol

  • I used to watch these as a kid back in the middle 90s- in Mexico's Channel 5.

    Good ol' days!

  • They Usedto Pass This In Los angeles Inthe 90's Weekday Mornings

  • I'm calling these cats when I want some pizza from now on. :D

  • this was huge at my school while it lasted. but is that Roger the alien from American dad being lead vocal

  • You know something is amiss when the show claims its heroes are stronger than old cheese and dirt.

  • "WILL SOMEBODY PLES KIL THAT BURD?"

  • @ACRedsCreations "Will somebody please CUE that bird"

  • @trailersic oh ok. that's funny too.

  • @trailersic

damm i always thoguht it said would some one plase kill that bird

  • The only thing I remember from this show was that there was a road runner like creature that always had to stay in motion or else he exploded....

  • This show was crazy! I really wish that some monster station would buy up ALL the old favorites and cook them together again. Maybe when Youtube becomes like TV we'll create our own stations like that. Miss the old days!

  • ok how can todays tv suck so much yet i've been able to watch ONE 90's intro ten times and find i better then 99% of todays cartoons and i'm still not bored of the intro

  • This guy sounds like a drag queen.

  • Is it just me, or does the spoken voice sound like a parody of Fred Schneider from the B-52s?

  • loved this show as a kid. i gotta find it again!

  • Put more of a description in there besides just "Old School Cartoon Intro" tell what the show was about, and what years it was broadcast first.

  • Was this the 90s? How many seasons did it last? I was a channel flipper and don't recall this one. Or was it 2000s early on?

  • Wow those were the best days ever.

  • NOTHING like teenage mutant ninja turtles...

  • the little jokes all the way throughout it.... brilliant show! far better than "hannah montana" or any of the crap my neice watches :P

  • I remember reading somewhere that the singer and backup band showed up to record this theme totally drunk and hung over, which actually explains a lot.

  • @CristinaFernandez That's probably not true at all. Gossip stories like that are made up all the time to add humor or shock to things.

  • now that I think about it, what the hell happened to cartoons? I don't see many good ones these days

  • another cherished memory of my childhood

  • This is a YTP already, and we haven't even edited it yet!

  • THIS SHOW WAS AWAESOME

  • this is a pretty long intro song for a cartoon...

  • This sucks.

  • Their snivin' out criem and yew no that ain't BALONEY

  • Ah, anime that I didn't know was anime when I was little. Great show, it should be on DVD. "Stronger than old cheese!"

  • that announcer is mad jewish

  • the voices where awesome in this show anime dubs today suck

  • I remember this...but imagine being shot out of a giant gun...to deliver pizzas.

  • i miss that show, but it brings back memories :(

  • I don't know what I just saw :(

  • OMG I remember watching this @ 6 in the morning while I was getting ready for school

  • i want to see a remake of samurai pizza cats

  • @PabloRuizMega i wanna see them in tatsunoko versus capcom. this was a tatsunoko show if im not mistaken

  • Japans' take on Italy was hilarious.

I miss this show deeply. Especially all the name-puns and classical anime humor. The only thing that irked me was the girl's name. "Polly Esther" ok, Polyester... means what? LOL

  • @NapkinSaviour its a type of fabric

  • @Gileum Oh I know, I'm just saying it didn't quite match up to the Italian theme, but thanks anyway :D

  • What the HELL is this?!

  • Ahahaha that is pretty funny, ripping into the teenage mutant ninja turles.

  • HOLY FUCKING HELL I LOVED THIS SHOW!! Jebus christ the fucking sponge bob generation of today are missing out so much on my generations cartoons. They need another channel like Bomerang but that has all the cartoon shows like these not just Hanna-Barbara

  • Somebody's trying to be Fred Schneider a little bit.

  • Ok, so more like Paul Lynd. I was close.

  • >All boring -Pokemon Knockoff remakes, air nowdays,

    copying shows ^above "Cliche," now.

-This Show Pizza cats had an extremely original complex appeal to it.* - admit ...

  • @SkyRifter the only thing original about this show is that it copied a bunch of cartoons and threw them all together

  • -Should do some Auto- Digital Coloring like they did when the Americans Dubbed DBZ, where they Enhanced the colors

greatly, DBZ animation, it looked brand new around Buu, Cell Sagas.

They should with this Show, Pizza cats, Also they should Remake this show for the new age, It may stand a Much better chance now, than-those boring shows kids watch nowadays on

    'Cartoon-Network & Nicktoons.' <- they show boring cartoons now-days.

  • 0:39 recognition that they're similar to Ninja Turtles?

  • I never knew the exact time the show came on, it almost seemed random. I used to wake up ULTRA early (still dark outside) just to watch this show...at the time I didnt know what anime was but was extremely intrigued by it.

  • "Is this the end of the Pizza Cats? After only seven episodes?"

LOL still love the humor in this show

  • This was one of my all time favorite cartoons when i was a kid!

  • Polly Esther is such a good name!

    (^_^)

  • so... gundam meets megaman meets cats? sweet.

  • i miss hamtaro and sailor moon :( oh and archie goose bumps and i totaly miss tiny tunes and inuyasha

  • what do those shows have to do with this kinda cartoon. this was like the description says. OLD SCHHOL.

  • i remember specifically when it started to get the bad hours on tv waking up to watch the best 2 hours of tv at 3 am when i was 7(ish)

in that block was megaman, super mario super show, and this one which was my favorite.

  • i remember when i was five it had an afternoon block with megaman on UPN (pronounce OOOPPPIIINNN)

  • I remember that block. How was I supposed to watch those so early when I was like...well 5-6? Bad time slots lead to the end of some great shows. Like Sonic SatAM...if only it was an hour later so it didn't have to compete with the Power Rangers...We would have a 3rd and final season T_T

  • well i found out that from the start they were trying to kill sanford and son like right when it started putting it in the bad slots like when most people were sleeping or working, but that lasted 6 whole years in the murder slots lol

  • yeah, but wasn't that aimed towards an older audience? People who could see the bad slots with relitively little trouble. Not like 4-6 year olds.

  • every other show in those slots died after one season

  • This started the downfall of dubbed anime as we know it

  • Wow does this look awful. I thought it was a joke on Ninja Turtles, but these people are serious!

  • this show is WAAAAAY diffirent then tmnt

  • makes you think it was made by a couple of children in japan. silly.lol.

  • The trouble of ordering a X-Large Supreme Pizza in Japan by cats. Think twice before picking up the phone, kids.

  • Holy crap! It's a kids fantasy show. Sword action, kittens, and PIZZA!!

  • The first Anime Cartoon I ever watched...

  • OMFG I remember watching this at midnight... and then they announced it was over, and I cried... I was like 10...

  • I use to run home from school to watch this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ME TOO!!!!!! I LOVED IT. it jst stopped... i was so sad like wher the fuck is samuri pizza cats? WHAT? THEY STOPPED SAILOR MOON? WHAT? AND HAMTARIO!!! bastards... and goosebumps.... the scaryest part of tht was the into music tho...

  • actually they finished the show and i have the last episode (which was a 2-part) on tape. it pretty good yet a very cliche ending

  • The dude singing sounds like the B52s.

  • take this how you may.... but I wanted to become a Samurai Pizza Cat when I got older bu t ish didnt turn out da way i planned

  • Amazing! I would've totally watched this if it was on back then on my regular channels.

  • Fuckin' awesome.

I used to love watching this show, it was so quirky and original. It was kind of a knock off of Ninja Turtles except it was the Samurai counter-part.

The NES game is really awesome.

  • never heard of this show but it looks fantastic

  • these were the animated version of the power rangers except they were funny. this is when all the saban kid shows were out.. I remember they had a damn zord. lol

  • I used to love this programme. Wish someone would put some full episodes on here, they're really funny.

  • Cute but the Ninja Turtles would whip their behnds good!!

I'm not dissing the Pizza Cats mind you. I liked them too, but the Ninja Turtles are FAR better & FAR cooler!

Turtle Power forever dudes & dudettes!!

  • "somebody cue da burd" LOL

  • Nice intro, they just don't make them like this anymore. The show stars Speedy Cerviche, Polly Esther and Guido Anchovy who run a pizzeria and protect Little Tokyo from crime.

  • ?????????????? wow, 3 words I thought would never come together, Cats, Pizza and samurais. what a combination, is the series any good?

  • funny, cute and fun yes this series is worth it.

  • @foamyfan231 no

  • @foamyfan231 Oh, God, is it ever...It's FUNNY!!!

  • @foamyfan231

I barely remember the episodes. This could be a good, as my memory isn't so good sometimes, or bad since it could've been a show that was so bland, that there wasn't anything worth remembering about it. If it's like the Dragon Ball (the first one) cartoon it could be very entertaining.

  • @DaFuckyouat Well I recently just saw some episodes of this series...

good lord its comedic gold, its always breaking the Fourth wall...if only cartoons were this good nowadays

  • @foamyfan231

After seeing the first episode and half of the second one, I can say...ditto.

  • @foamyfan231 blasphemy yee unbeliever! Who does not like cats, pizza's and samurais...stupid question :)

  • @foamyfan231 this show was amazing this was one of those shows kids would wake up early in the morning and watch on the weekends

  • @Hartcore3x What year was this out? I never woke up early in the morning to watch it. So if it was in the 90s I was out skating most likely. Looks funny though.

  • @hootyhaha if i remember correctly we're talking early 90's like 91-92 era cuz i was a wee tyke when this was on and you're absolutely right this show was hilarious :D

  • @foamyfan231 It's a show that revels in it's cheesiness. So yes, it's funny and entertaining.

  • @foamyfan231 yes

  • @foamyfan231

    no. no it is not.

  • Classics!

  • ahh, good times.

  • I loved this show when i was a kid but it was always on at 1 pm when i was at school so i only saw it when i was home sick.

  • are they serious?

  • Wow this was one of my faves as a kid, I wish they'd put it back on. Miss it loads.....

  • I wish this was back on TV

this used to be on UPN in the late 90s around 7am everyday.

One of the few animes I saw back then

  • Wasn't the villain supposed to be gay or something?

  • Sounds like Rip Taylor did the voice for the intro or somethin lol

  • lmfao little polyester !!! lol

  • I love this show!!

  • All I remember about this show was that the main villian Big Cheese used to occasionally dress up as a cheerleader when things went well for him, they got fired out of a clock cannon when they had to go out on jobs and it was really, really mental!

I need to see if this is out on DVD somewhere. :D

  • when the fuck was this on?

  • made getting up for school bearable. great, great cartoon

  • LOL man i used watch this show all the time

  • Cool cartoon.

  • It sounds like Paul Lynde is singing the theme song after three martinis too many.

  • The Best....nice, old school days, saturdy mornings, samuray pizza cats....fantastic

  • Trivia: The dude that was singing this, the co-writer, was apparantly drunk in the recording studio. XD

  • OMG!!!! Thank you so much!! I'm nearly crying!!

  • I used to love this show! The song is still cool.

  • This show totally owns everything. I'd kill to find a copy of this series on dvd or VHS

  • I had forgotten just how much i loved this show in 5th grade. Thank you!

  • omg!I loved this cartoon!!!
