Even had the ghosts of Jim , Jimi, and Stevie play one nite.
I am a UNT grad, spent 10 wonderful years of my life in Denton, Fry Street was a magical beautiful historic place, now that it is gone, I have no reason to ever come back to Denton. Denton killed it's soul and Buster Freeman of United Equities was the Dr Kevorkian, the city council were thoughtless greedy facilitators. Denton is dead.
I assure you Denton is not dead. The original Mr. Chopsticks may be gone, but Chai(?) already had another restaurant set up. Voyagers Dream and Recycled Books are still here along with the mini malls with their windows full of shiny weapons and odd novelty things. Denton's not dead even if Fry Street got knocked down. You're an idiot for saying Denton killed its soul because it isn't the City Council that is the soul of Denton. It's the nutjobs who go crazy for Brave Combo at Jazz Fest and the-

there will continue to be something organic developing in fry street free from the structure but its going to take some time.

Fry st. is a place where we were coming of age. We experienced art, music, history, and heritage. I will remember Fry and Hickory fondly.

Being from Austin, Fry Street really was a taste of home for me when I visited UNT this past November. I can't wait to attend the University.
