Hungarian version is really interesting, but I still prefer French one, there is the true spirit, in my opinion, and I like that the trio is mainly engaged with women, while in Hungarian version they danse more in ensemble. Anyway, I love this song, and it is always great!!

I think the Hugarian is not funny but full of life and very cheerful. The singers are great, the best ones in Hungary. This is my favourite and the French version - I'm Hungarian but the French R&J was the reason for I started to learn French. :)

Well, let me write some words...

1. You don't understand the lyrics in Hungarian, so how do you know what is it about?

2. Too less emotion? Why? In the French version, "Les rois du monde", you see more emotion? This song is not about emotions. It is about three guys who think themselves the "kings of the world". The Hungarian is about friends, party, and enjoying life until you can do it.

3. Did you hear or see any other videos from the Hungarian version? If not and you want emotions, just see L'amour heureux, Le balcon, La mort de Juliette, La mort de Roméo, Aimer in Hungarian.

Romeo and Juliet's songs DO have emotions.

4. You don't feel joy??? What??? Have you ever heard the whole song? lol You cannot judge a song by a some seconds long extrait.

5. I hope you don't feel I want kick your ass just because you wrote what you wrote.

I adore French Romeo and Juliet. I was in love with Damien. I saw it like a million times. But I do love our version - well we can say, because I'm Hungarian. But it's not true. And it's not just the music or the coreography why I love it. I adore the actors. They are real artists. I saw them in many other musicals (e.g. Mozart!, Rebecca, The beauty and the beast) and I can say that they are our stars.

So, all in all, I hope you didn't take it as an offense. I just wrote my whole opinion. :)

All italian versions u can find on the web from this musical are all fan made...'cause there isn't an official "romeo e giulietta" from the french version "roméo et juliette". In Italy we have "giulietta e romeo" by cocciante is the only one!

The French original is by far the best version, all the others can't be mentioned in the same book. The English and the Hungarian are not bad though, but in Hungarian the theater version is a bit weird but the CD version is better.

I like russian for Benvolio(Postolenko), voices and because it's my native, hungarian - for dances, Mercutio(Bereczki Zoltan) and alternative view and french for Damien Sargue, Cecilia and language and cause it's original.And i disagree that only in Austria and Hungary R&J really loved each other - i think french one has much chemistry

Mais c'est dommage que tous les extraits n'aient pas la même qualité de son.

The Austrian, partly because it's the one version I've seen live partly because I think the cast is really great. My second favourite is the French version. The Hungarian is good but it's so different. They changed it too much for me. What about you?
