Now thats an instant favourite my friend. Damn those 37s sound good, way better to have them both crewed rather than in multiple as theres more thrash to enjoy! 5*.
The chat on wnxx forum from those on board indicates that they were both crewed to Weymouth and then after a replacement jumper cable was fitted, they were in multi for the journey back. The thrash you got at Bath sounds like both had drivers.
All stations betwen BTM and Bath we had a fault on 401 which relayed to 670 through the multiple workig cable which was we changed over at Weymouth as each loco has it's own cable and receiving recepticle. We sorted out the problem after Bath hence why they worked so much better from Bradford on Avon forward.Both locos were single manned on both journeys.

They were in multiple. Guy in 401 was a travelling fitter there for insurance.
