  • Idiot

  • Where was your boat? Across the river. That strike was no where close to you or your boat.

  • this is bullshit

  • Disliked...flagged...commented negatively...

    I gave it the works.

  • Dude, seriously, if you want to get a close strike, ot must be 50 to 200 yards away, I made the same mistake when my strike was half-mile from me. Thumbs down for this

  • I like the part where there was a lightning strike ?

  • flagged ........BYE

  • sooo, wheres the lightning :D?

  • Hmm... You say "Lightning strikes my boat antenna"? Well, everything is correct, except "my". That was, I think, a boat antenna located in England or Poland, for example!

  • @hAhan17, but you got a white screen. XD

  • wtf!

  • thats a funnel cloud

  • Dis it gave electricity on your boat?.

  • what were you thinking being on the coast in a thunder storm!?

  • Is it just me, or was there no lightning strike???

  • wat r u talking about?

  • Comment removed

  • The flash in the video is just a horizontal bleep. The long rolling thunder is associated with cloud to cloud lightning, and lacks the powerful crack you hear with a close strike.

  • @TheFRiNgEguitars.... It looks like the flash was a victom of the "Rolling Shutter" syndrome, an artifact that comes from using a CMOS sensor chip in the camcorder. CMOS has largely replaced CCD sensors that mainly use "Global Shutter" techlology. Another artifact CMOS causes is a motion video that is "Jello-ie" looking.

  • I did not see any lightning strikes.

  • lame movie

  • that was stupid

  • Yep and I don't even drink so that makes it even worse.

  • wth

  • I agree..likely a positive streamer. Very fortunate the main stroke didn't connect there or a lost GPS would be the least of your worries... ;)

  • Thank you, I was not smart but the weather front passing over lower Manhattan was to pretty wild to not get on video.

  • I saw it it was like a wave of light...

  • I never saw that when it happened but my antennae fried.

When I played back the video I saw the flash went right in front of me.

  • I didn't see it:S

  • It comes across the screen at 0.02 sec.

    Thank you for stopping by.
