  • Words cannot describe what happens in this performance... THANK YOU, Thank You, thank you for posting!!!

By the way, ya think they could fit just a coupla more musicians in the performance?!?! ;-)

  • J'ai toujours su que Jacques réussirait à chiper la place de Jeff Beck et jouer avec El Maestro Little Big Steevie...

  • mais .....c'est Jacques Dutronc!

  • so in the original video a ron jeremy look a like was playin trumpet. Now charlie murphy is playin the saxophone lol.

  • Ahhhhhhhhh!

  • i love the look on the other guitarists face. HOLY SHIT I'M PLAYING WITH JEFF BECK!

  • History Lesson folks who say lead not appropriate

"Jeff Beck created the original drum beat while in the studio with Wonder. After writing the song Wonder offered it to Beck to record, but at the insistence of Berry Gordy Wonder himself recorded it first.[4] Beck was instead offered "Cause We've Ended As Lovers," which he recorded on Blow by Blow in 1975. Jeff Beck played guitar on Talking Book and later recorded his own version of "Superstition" as a part of Beck, Bogert & Appice."

  • @astrojamman - I was in the vicinity at the time and I remember lending Jeff a Syreeta Album so work that one out !!!

  • Jeff Beck...such a bad ass guitar player...he always makes every guitar player on stage look clueless...he rules, he's the Boss!!!

  • Beck and Wonder...sooo boss!

  • sick fuckin' solo

  • that solo did not fit the song... tapping? what were you thinking?

  • @TheChewybanana He was probably thinking "Thank Jesus I'm not TheChewybanana, I'm Jeff Beck and I'm on stage with Stevie Wonder".

  • @TheChewybanana yeah, right, like you have a clue.

  • looks like at 0:29 the backup singers think Jeff's cute...what a great tune love it

  • One question: Where's bass the player?!? I don't see him anywhere.

  • Sorry, but the solo just does not fit the style. I never vote dislike, so I won't vote at all.

  • @tomsielaff I think it fits beautifully. It's a bit sharp and raspy which makes it sound a little too loud. He really reels it in with the tone after his solo by using the neck PU. and pulls the tone knob out. I think he knows he has a sharp G at this point and avoids playing it certain ways. What's cool is how he hints the vocal and horn parts. I just think the opening tone was not his usual sound.

  • What can anybody say? Just sit back, enjoy and get blown away by the majesty of Mr. Stevie Wonder and the incomparable Jeff Beck! Superstition has to rank as one of the funkiest rock songs of ALL TIME!

  • Jeff beck made that guitar his bitch!

  • Johndoe, your a wanker! If you perceive that as anything but musical genius you are a misguided, lost lill human being!

  • JEFF BECK SUCKS? WHAT'S THE COLOR OF THE SKY IN YOUR WORLD? THAT "OPINION" RANKS WITH THE MOST HIDEOUS OF ALL-TIME. PLEASE, REFRAIN FROM VOTING...FOR ANYTHING.

  • the only way that this could get better is- to knock jeff beck off the stage.

  • @johndoe590 are you serious? jeff beck killed that solo hes not SRV on this track, but his own style compliments the song well

  • @bc12058 to me jeff beck sucks

  • It doesn't get much better than this.

  • hey you there, yes you, quickly scroll back up because you are missing the video

  • Is there a full concert somewhere on DVD?

  • so I was just high before I saw this video... now I'm pretty sure I'm something completely different.

don't know what it is, but it's awesome.

  • @MochaMan247 He took you higher......

  • Who is the Guitarist with that Beautiful Green Guitar? If any one here know which manufacture the Guitar is made from please let me know. Its not an ESP, or Jackson, however it may be a custom made bu a Luthier who only makes custom built Guitars. Definitely a Fender(like Jeffs Strat Plus), or a Fender Custom shop Guitar. Brian Moore? Anyone know? Thanks Jim

  • @ThePhallystorm I think it's a Suhr but I can't be certain.

  • @FullMontyUK You think it's a Suhr but can't be sure?

  • @supahsekzy I was so tempted to post that but thought better of it! :D

  • Love the horns!

  • jeff beck, what an actual legend, you put him on stage with stevie wonder, and you somehow manage to create this immense sound that we're watching right now, what i'd do to have been there!

  • Jeff Beck was put in the world, to play the guitar. That's for sure !

  • I finally understand Jeff Beck doesn't play the guitar but the guitar plays a human being as Jeff Beck.

  • it's cool!

  • うわぁーーーーーこんな演奏を生で観たい聴きたい楽しみたい♪

  • amazing the pipes that Stevie Wonder still has.....Jeff Becks awesome guitar playing was just icing on the cake....

  • jeff jeff !!!!

  • HD?

  • that's a sick guitar solo haha even Beck smiles at the end he knows it came out of no where!

  • @fattirevsbud hey man, Beck played Superstition on 1973. He knows what he plays. Thats his style. Listen his other soloes

  • @tihomir7 THis is total impro kid, no one really knows what's gonna come out of it

  • Doesn't get any better than this, The writers Unite. Incredible!

  • cuanto talento en un mismo escenario :)

  • Choke on that steve vai xP lol!

  • Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God bless.

  • i love how wonder grooves his head

  • that was fan-fucking-tastic!

  • R U Kidding Me? Go and play with SW that solo. . . JB is a Monster!

  • R U Kidding Me? Go and play that solo. JB is a Monster!

  • ‎. . . Another good example of how Jeff Beck is STILL mopping up the floor with most the younger top rock guitarists of today . . .

  • It's funny how Jeff Beck just did a huge shreddy solo over the top over a funk song. Cool solo but almost totally unrelated to the song haha.

  • @tehgreyyy you must know that Jeff Beck has recorded a version of Superstition back in the early 70's. Critics & fans loved his version because it fused the rock element into a soul song!!

  • @tehgreyyy His solo is not unrelated to the song... Stevie wrote this song originally for Jeff Beck, when JB had a super heavy rock group, Beck Bogert and Appice. So "Superstition" was originally to be a heavy rock song. Or heavy-funk-rock for that matter

  • As Jacksfilms would say at 2:14 --> NAILED IT!

  • wow why is jeff beck the only white man on the stage?

  • @dairydave96 Ha Stevie has a white guitarist! lol

  • @dairydave96

coz jeff's soul is pure funk ;)

  • those horns - - - TIGHT!!!!

  • hey man if you have to ask if jeff's guitar is in tune the you dont know jeff beck.the guitar is on point.

  • These are not fictional heroes but true musical heroes. And we could a few of them in politics.

  • DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE WHAMMY BAR!

  • Que buena PIEZA!!!

  • 1:18, it's stuff like that that makes me love Jeff Beck.

  • sexiest gutiar solo i ever heard

  • really don't like the sound of Jeff's guitar - it almost sounds out of tune... LOL great jam though...

  • @elrifleplateado NO! Jeff is most certainly NOT out of tune!

  • @elrifleplateado It´s not out of tune. Is only giving a shit to the pulse of the music... lol

  • @deborahpetri That´s why it sounds strange, "out of place" sometimes. No because of the tune.

  • WOW! Thank you

  • Jeff should tour with Stevie he fit right in

  • love the song but I think Jeff killed it TBH.

  • thumps up when you came here cause of supernatural :D

    amazing song!!

  • Awesome! tnx!

  • This kicks ASS!\m/

  • always amazed by how much *control* jeff beck has over the guitar. i mean, he really milks every possible sound out of that strat & marshall.

  • Hey everybody, let's not forget that Stevie Wonder is also amazing!

  • jeff beck is just...AMAZING.

  • This is why we love sunglasses, SUNGLASS POWAH!

  • check out the Phil X version of this live! Its a rocker too!

  • alto tema!, la primera ves q lo escuche fue un cover de ciro! lo canta en castellano un grosso! esta en mi cuenta cualquier cosa fijensen y comenten ;) ;)

  • Oh Yah !!!

  • And let the church say...........AMEN !

  • do you think stevie saw that big ole smile jeff gave him ? Priceless !! Icons !!

  • @itzpms He's physically blind. But I'm sure he felt it.

  • LOOK AT THE GUITAR NECK AT 2:00 (beck's secret is those magic frets)

  • @theponchoman This is driving me crazy. Why is his guitar work and fretboard "photoshopped" in this solo? So far, you are the only other person i've seen to notice this. At 2:01, his guitar looses 3 frets and his fret hand is obviously fudged. It happened briefly when he first walked out and i watched it over and over trying to figure out why they might have done it. Then i saw 2:01 and freaked out. Does anyone have any idea why they did this?

  • @jasonhorwitz Wow, that is really weird. Wtf.

I can't see what's shopped about the hand, but there's definitely something weird about the frets there. Just a few seconds before and after, you can clearly see the single dots on G, A, B, and C#, and the double dot on E...but at 2:01, something weird is clearly going on.

  • @jasonhorwitz That's bizarre! Again at 2:10. Maybe he wasn't looking "solo" enough for the solo so they took a more exciting shot and shifted the hand up the fretboard to approximately match the notes he would be playing. Or maybe he was just being blocked by the camera when they wanted another cutaway.

Whatever the reason... really strange, haha

  • Friday the 13th!

  • coolest black guy alive !!!!!!! STEVIE WONDER :D

  • Two kings at their best!

  • WOOOOOO! This kicks ASS!!\m/

  • Stevie's guitar player is looking nervous back there ha ha.

  • Excellent music mix !

  • so.. how does stevie shave?

  • It's like listening to The Yardbirds and Stevie Wonder combined, except better.

  • does jeff beck ever make mistakes 0.o

  • @soontobeartist1 yes he does, but he recovers them soooooooooo well :)

  • @soontobeartist1 but thye still sound great!

  • jeff plays his guitar as if he was playing drums, instead of following the phrase , he throughs fills in

  • I remember watching this on TV and thinking that this was off the hook. It still is to me!

  • Jeff Beck is a sensational guitarist, he looks like he's playing without any effort at all

  • it's like when Superman teamed up with Spider-Man...

  • @pluke63 , A very stylish and apposite analogy. It's almost exactly like that.

  • @pluke63 cept spiderman isnt black and blind lol jkjk i love stevie haha

  • @pluke63 you mean spiderman and daredevil ;)

  • @willwelsh816 LOL

  • @willwelsh816 touche!

  • @willwelsh816 Stevie for President!!!!!!!

  • @pluke63 more like superman and daredevil.........

  • @pluke63 only 6x times better

  • Talking Book!!! Stevie Wonder and Jeff Beck!!

  • He gets his drumming frustration out with his percussive attack!

  • Beck recorded on Talking Book for Stevie, and asked Stevie for a song. Stevie gave him Superstition but when Berry Gordy heard it, he said no fucking way are you giving THAT song away.Beck's version with BBA is After the fact , and yes a BIG disappointment. That is why for Beck fans this was a GREAT moment!!

  • @rmac06 Also... the main riff came to Stevie from hearing Jeff screwing around on drums in the studio - You'll see Jeff interviewed about this, very gracious.....he says it was the only thing he could do on drums, and not very well.

  • i love the grin jeff gives at 2:21 when everything comes back together. he's just like, oh shit! that was niiiiiice haha

  • @keeper1167 Haha yeah! He's like "Ahhh eargasm"

  • Jeff Beck: Lord of the Strings

  • Beck is back

  • Two people have no superstitions.

  • @maxperesdias agree!! haha lol!!

  • Oh shit, Jeff's solo is AWESOME !!! :o

  • That is one seedy moustache...

  • I once thought that since the deaths of Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, no guitarist had ever been capable of maintaing the Blues into the 21st century. That was before I first heard Jeff Beck play.

  • Not many people know that Stevie originally planned to have Jeff Beck play for this song when he wrote it. Conflicting schedules postponed this awesomeness.

  • @MachXX2 I am an old Memphis musician and I had a friend who knew Jeff and Rod Stewart. he was the Memphis session trombone player. Like the 3rd Memphis Horn. Anyway, he said Jeff was pissed with Stevie for promising Jeff he could use Superstition and try for a hit, but Stevie went on ahead and recorded it. Thank goodness 'cause Jeff's version of it off of Beck, Bogart and Appice was shit. He said Rod pissed with Jeff being stingy when it came to paying Rod when he was in the Jeff Beck Grp.

  • i saw Jeff yesterday :D

  • Good tone and slick, Mr Beck. :)

  • I don't know why Jeff didn't get as much attention as Eric Clapton! Both the greats. And always love Stevie Wonder!

  • this is soo fu**** GOOD!!!!

  • and I cannot imagine Jeff composes those different phrases each time, I suppose he trained ,try and try at home, then he plays one of the trials on stage. or he just plays improvisations on stage,,,his sense of music and his tone is keen. he was 64 years old on this stage...amazing!!

  • The Man who never owned a pick! And the man who's voice is Godblessed! Roots on! Freaking Frasing! Peace & Love!

  • everybody scream

  • Why is Stevie Wonder so awesome

  • Great! Even the mix was awesome! I would have loved to have been there! Not even youtube could mess this clip up!

  • i'm seeing Beck tommorow :D

  • jeff is older than stevie = O

  • Stevie Wonder is a fuckin' instiTUtion! And Jeff Beck... man... a burst of anarchic brilliant. Great arrangement. Just tight!

  • i feel sorry for the guitarist standing behind jeff

  • @chickenman120 well, he´s in stevie wonders touring band, that´s something..he must be good too..:-)

  • @MrBrungers of course but just imagine how he felt when he heard jeff rip it

  • wow that was a good solo

  • Stevie looks like he is following someone's finger at an eye test.

  • I wanna see Steve Vai vs Jeff Beck! I think Vai would own.

  • @dynomyck8 fuck you, vai is a wanker. vai turned it from being "person a AND person b" to "person a VS person b" vai is all about trying to outplay the other person and he sucks. from a musical, technical, and mental standpoint, beck would kick vai's ass. but beck wouldnt even need to try. hed do it just by having a musical convo with vai, and vai wouldnt know what to do

  • Comment removed

  • @dynomyck8 What a stupid comment, music is not sports you wanker!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @dynomyck8 judging by your removed comment (below) I can tell that you don't have a brain at all...

dynomyck8 said: "@waldowaldito what? are you talking about sports? i said nothing to do with sports . and calling me a wanker is dumb because you know you have no girlfriend and wank yourself"

  • @waldowaldito yeah i don't brain but my gpa is 3.4 weighted and 3.6 unweighted

  • Jeff Becks style of playing is amazing! His right hand is unique!

  • Stevie and Jeff go WAY-back! They've known each-other for DECADES. And great friends, too!

  • This is awesome. Music is wonderful, especially when played like this.

  • is he saying i love you kardasim? XD

  • @musichopper he wrote the fucking song dumbass

  • Stevie Wonder Brilliant !♥

  • do your thing, son

  • man when he started shredding my head exploded

  • This song was written for Jeff Beck. Stevie decided later to record it.

  • Jeff 's phrase is always wonderful.

His sense of music is out of normal creation!!

He doesn't follow same phrase all time,,, I cannot find such a gutalist .
