A beautiful homily that fittingly reminds us that as His adopted sons & daughters by Baptism it is "not you who have chosen Me, it is I who have chosen you."
I just love this sermon. Fr. Simon says Jesus calls God "Father" for a very unique and special reason. The reason has a distinct character and feature - like the distinct difference between that of a contract and a covenant. Although St. Thomas Aquinas said you can't apply gender to God, Fr. Simon explains why use "God the Father" instead of "God the Mother" as some people do. He also explains what is so unique and/or special when a man adopts a child! A great Father's Day sermon!
