  • @thebarstar100 - Good news, the next great blues guitarist just may be Tallan 'T-Man' Latz! He's only 12, already has his own professional band and is incredible! He's already to carry on the legacy!

  • The thing that jumps out at me is how he uses all of Jimi's themes and creates his own variations off of them. That is the correct path of Lineage, thats how the language never gets lost. (and it all comes from Africa!)

  • 4:57 gives me the chills! In a good way of course, I love listening to all of his rarer, pre-fame recordings.

  • I don't care what all you people say! Stevie was the best EVER!

  • @tedwyer So did Carlos Santana or at least he told a reporter that. His opinion should count for a lot more than these people no one ever heard of.

  • Sorry all, Hendrix set the bar with the original solo...Stevie didn't quite make it but...gets an ' A ' for effort....

  • Kings Head had all the great bands back in the 80s. I was told people at the bar were calling friends and telling them to get there butts down there asap.

  • This was recoded as a simulcast on WNOR here in Norfolk VA. Both sets are out there on the net somwhere. The cool thing about this to me is that he is covering a Hendrix tune that was a BBC outake,

  • Remember guys, blues/rock is a form of music that was co-developed equally by black and white people in America, and became the greatest genre of music that ever existed. It's only appropriate that the greatest guitar players who ever lived were two Americans, one black guy and one white guy.

Now all we have to do is convince one half of the above mentioned people to rediscover this music and drop that hip hop nonsense...

  • I needed 15 seconds to decide I was going to add this to my favorites. Love ya Stevie!

  • jimi would smile ;>

  • @webstarlet111 And Albert Collins would pout at both of them...cuz it's his song actually

  • After so many years of listening to Jimi and SRV, I missed this cover! First time listening to this. Only SRV could match JImi's rare talent and sound. Dig it!

  • @thebarstar100 Gary Clark Jr.

  • Hey, Stevie Ray was the last really great guitar player. I'm still waiting for the next, but sadly he may never come. R.I.P. Stevie.

  • @thebarstar100 I believe gary moore was the last great guitar player! And i believe john mayer + joe bonamassa are is the next best things!

  • @thebarstar100

Chris Duarte is one of the closest you will get.

  • the world is missing a boat load of good string shaking now that SRV is gone.

  • 5:15 HOT DAMN!
