@thebarstar100 - Good news, the next great blues guitarist just may be Tallan 'T-Man' Latz! He's only 12, already has his own professional band and is incredible! He's already to carry on the legacy!
The thing that jumps out at me is how he uses all of Jimi's themes and creates his own variations off of them. That is the correct path of Lineage, thats how the language never gets lost. (and it all comes from Africa!)
Kings Head had all the great bands back in the 80s. I was told people at the bar were calling friends and telling them to get there butts down there asap.
This was recoded as a simulcast on WNOR here in Norfolk VA. Both sets are out there on the net somwhere. The cool thing about this to me is that he is covering a Hendrix tune that was a BBC outake,
Remember guys, blues/rock is a form of music that was co-developed equally by black and white people in America, and became the greatest genre of music that ever existed. It's only appropriate that the greatest guitar players who ever lived were two Americans, one black guy and one white guy.
Now all we have to do is convince one half of the above mentioned people to rediscover this music and drop that hip hop nonsense...
After so many years of listening to Jimi and SRV, I missed this cover! First time listening to this. Only SRV could match JImi's rare talent and sound. Dig it!
Thanks for the audio,i always liked this jimi hendrix song a lot.I actualy use to listen to it(hendrix one off radio one cd) a lot,but not much lately,i need to save it on the pc,so can play it more.

4:57 gives me the chills! In a good way of course, I love listening to all of his rarer, pre-fame recordings.

I don't care what all you people say! Stevie was the best EVER!

@tedwyer So did Carlos Santana or at least he told a reporter that. His opinion should count for a lot more than these people no one ever heard of.

Hey, Stevie Ray was the last really great guitar player. I'm still waiting for the next, but sadly he may never come. R.I.P. Stevie.
