I understand it is a safeguard to keep people from logging in on friends x boxes and downloading the dlkc under their profile but it should recognize family accounts and not make each member of the family pay. Just saying
The better version is where your friends are, this game seriously CAN'T be played without good friends. Both versions are great, PC gets better deals and player base. Xbox is good if you and your friends can't all afford a good PC.
If these guys are saying that new characters, new story, new weapons, new content, and new engine refinements don't make a game a sequel then they might as well be arguing that Half-Life 2 wasn't a sequel, just an expansion with some fancy new graphics. think about it like this if i was dlc it would cost about the same (unless your a pc gamer) because 5 new campaigns would be about 35 dollars. new guns would be about 10 dollars more so theirs 45 dollars. then new melee weapons would be 10 more dollars so there's 55 dollars. lastly a new game mode would probably cost around ten dollars which is 5 dollars more then paying for it new. so a sequal is what i qualifies as.

one of the major reasons that L4D2 is a sequel is a major upgrade in the engine that they used. The 'director' was destroyed and made with a new foundation, and that is not possible for DLC or an update.

even if it was dlc, it would have been 60 bucks put together, but now you get the new graphics which are a bit better and you get the new death animations like zombies with big holes in them, and it gets to be more polished and shiny

Dont get me wrong i like valve and l4d 2 but it wasent enough for me the story lines where not that great you basically do the samn thing in each round but with different inviorments and the new weapons where good but i was expecting more for my buck so i do feel that it is a DLC

Deffinitley a sequel some people say its should be as a dlc but for the xbox it would be waaay to much for it to donwload for the people who have 6 gb hard drive your gonna have to delete about half your hard drive for that. People who say its a mod should stop complaining and deal with it.

It was a sequal. Upgraded engine, more features, more linear and had a somewhat of a narritave. But still focused on the original content.
Lets hope Valve will release more DLC at a faster rate than they did with L4D. TF2 had a cubic assload of DLC yet barely any for L4D.

What pisses me off is that they didn't live up to their promise to deliver content to L4D1 and instead went to work on L4D2 right away.
L4D2 is still epic.

think about it like this if i was dlc it would cost about the same (unless your a pc gamer) because 5 new campaigns would be about 35 dollars. new guns would be about 10 dollars more so theirs 45 dollars. then new melee weapons would be 10 more dollars so there's 55 dollars. lastly a new game mode would probably cost around ten dollars which is 5 dollars more then paying for it new. so a sequal is what i qualifies as.

one of the major reasons that L4D2 is a sequel is a major upgrade in the engine that they used. The 'director' was destroyed and made with a new foundation, and that is not possible for DLC or an update.

gtas expansions only give un new charaters weapons and story while u stay in the very same place u were in in gta4 left 4 dead 2 counts more than a expansion thus making it a sequel i mean a upgraded director , new characters , weapons, a new gameplay mechicanic and new additions to the special infected and common and new designs for old characters and some new abiltities for old foes as well with the witch being able to wounder around entirely new maps, story and a story arch which connects

the 5 campaigns together something the first left 4 dead did not do and new enviorment items like incindeary and explosive ammo, firework boxs which explode and defibulator unit which can revive dead surviors, and adrinalin for speed , plus two new game modes realism and scavange mode for multiplayer plus promise dlc for left 4 dead 2 so its a lot more than dlc my friend alot more so its a sequel
